Hello, I am relatively new to Figma. I had my professor look at my settings and he is confused why my animations were not functioning. Our assignment required the Smart Animation setting called Bouncy. It was working fine for my classmates, they had the exact same settings as me. But it would just skip the animation for me. It will not function on default Smart Animation + Bouncy either. I had a strobe effect issue with some other animations that day, but I can make a separate post for that. I did this classwork on Fire Fox, Windows 10, Asus laptop.I was working on my homework and have been on my Fire Fox, Windows 10, Custom desktop PC. Same problem with bouncy. Hi Figma Community,I’m working on my first plugin as an indie designer-developer, and I’ve run into a roadblock with adding media to the plugin UI (ui.html).Here’s what I’ve tried so far: Placing image and video files in my local plugin folder and referencing them with <img> / <video> tags in ui.html. Converting both images and videos into Base64 Data URIs (but this quickly became too large and even crashed my code). I also read about Figma’s CSP and CORS restrictions, which explains why external URLs are tricky. But I’ve seen other plugins that do show images or even video in their UI, so I’m wondering:👉 What’s the recommended way to safely include images or short videos in a plugin’s ui.html while staying within Figma’s sandbox rules?For context, my current files are: Video: 867 KB (MP4/WebM) Image: 19 KB (PNG) Is an 867 KB video considered too large for a plugin UI? Hey everyone! I have just recently got into some more challenging stuff in Figma, and the moving obejst as part of the animation when you click on the some button is what is puzzling me quite a bit.What I am trying to do is move around the objects in the next scenario: I would like, when a user clicks on “OPTION 1”, for infographics object to slide, or roll to the left, while the rest of the options move down or disappear, and then the whole space is filled with text from Option 1 with the button to go back: And ofc, once user clicks on GO BACK button, everything go back to the original position. I tried playing around with Prototype, but so far, it’s only giving me options to create something like this if I click on the object itself, not on a different button or object. Could someone help me with this one, please?

Can you please help me understand why “fill container” is not an option for the selected layer? I’ve looked through all similar topics and they don’t seem applicable. Attached SS of parent and child layers…

I'm unable to type anything when after creating the "area" for the text. Even, I'm unable to edit the previously written texts. I tried using different browsers, but it doesn't work. Finally, I'm not able to use Desktop version, the design doesn't load (same for Firefox).When I try to type something, the F and A selects Frame, T selects the text, in other words, I'm unable to type in the canvas, rather the shortcut keys are working.I used Figma long ago. So, I don't remember anything, and I was able to write only one text; again, I tried to create a new design and tested, but it didn't work. Hi Team,I've been working on a design using Figma and encountered an issue with code generation.The design process is working well overall, and the code generation (React + Typescript) was functioning correctly up to a certain version. However, I'm now experiencing a problem where:- The preview updates correctly according to my prompts- The generated code does not reflect these preview updates- There appears to be a disconnect between the latest preview and the corresponding code outputCould you please help investigate this issue? The code generation seems to be stuck on an earlier version despite the preview showing the current changes.Things I tried out - Refreshed the figma link in Chrome also tried accessing the code through windows desktop App but no Luck.Thanks for your assistance.

I have a line in an auto layout in Figma. The auto layout settings are all correct, however, the line displays (looks) like it's in the wrong spot visually, if that makes sense. The first screenshot (line in the middle of the text) is what it looks like when the issue is occurring. I go in, and all I do is move the line's position to a different spot in the layer stack, then I move it back to where it was before, and then it looks like how it's supposed to (second screenshot, line right above the buttons).Based on my research it seems that this is a known issue with Auto Layout (though I couldn’t find an official support ticket or anything I could reference for ways to fix the issue). I already cleared the cache in the Figma app and this keeps happening. It’s also frustrating because I’ll navigate to a different page in my Figma file and come back (after it was displaying in the correct place) and the divider line will be in the wrong spot again.Any tips or suggestions for fixing this

Is there a way to set design mode to be my default? I have a dev seat and am classified in a software engineering role, but for the work I do in Figma, I strongly prefer the design mode navigation. I am needing to manually toggle to design mode every time I bring up Figma.

Quick question — is it possible for Figma Support to move a Design System (currently in another org) and a UI Kit (currently in a Free Team) into our Enterprise Organization without breaking component IDs or links? How long does it take? It would be better if I transfer the design system file to free team in order to have both files in free team so the transfer would be easier? thanks a lot!

While exporting to pptx, fonts change, alignement get mess up, rotations reset…Is there a way to make it work?

Hello,I am facing repeated issues with the Figma Education reverification process and need support from the Figma team or advice from others who may have faced this problem. I am from India and currently part of higher education. I was previously part of the Figma Education program, but now my account requires reverification. I tried multiple valid documents (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, College Student ID) but each attempt failed. I carefully followed all SheerID guidelines (flat dark surface, proper lighting, no glare/shadows, full frame, both sides of ID). I contacted SheerID Support, but they confirmed: They cannot manually verify IDs via email. The government ID check must be done only through the platform. This leaves me stuck — my documents are genuine, but the platform rejects them every time. I also hit the verification attempt limit, got it reset, and retried, but the outcome is always the same. I made a component that is a button with a dropdown menu when you hover over it, and I want to be able to change the dropdown options to be different for each of the buttons. I tried manually changing the buttons to be the Dropdown Variant to change the list options and change it back to the Closed Variant, but when I hover over it in prototype it still shows the template 1-5.Here are some images to show what I mean. The first image is how I want the menus to function and work when you hover over them. (Hover over “Font Type” and the 5 options show up, but if you hover over “Font Weight” there are 3 options and they are different.)The second image is how it works in prototype, where each of the four dropdown buttons have the same template “1-5” numbers.Am I able to change these secondary variants per instance of a component? Or do I need to make a separate component for each of these instances so that I can change the options?

I am trying to use the plugin between UX pilot and figma but when I try to add my desktop screens , it doesn’t work and just turns into a grey bar. The screens from UX Pilot, they’re “saved for figma” but it is not working. Any help?
