Verified Student Status Not Recognized on My Figma Account since october

Hello everyone !

I’m posting here because my Figma Education status issue is still unresolved despite many attempts, and this situation has been ongoing since October.

 

To summarize clearly:

  • My student status was successfully verified and approved by SheerID on October 2025, using my education email address.
  • In the meantime, I made the mistake of changing the email address on my Figma account to my personal email, which caused my Education status to break / disappear on my account.
  • After switching my Figma account email back to my student email, my Education status is no longer recognized: the app constantly asks me to reverify my student status.
  • However, I cannot reverify, because the system displays the message “Verification Limit Exceeded” at the end of the form, since my initial request was already approved.

I am therefore stuck in a loop:

Figma asks me to reverify or contact SheerID, SheerID confirms that I am already verified and redirects me back to Figma. No new student verification attempt is possible.
As a result, my student status never comes back on my Figma account, even though the correct student email is attached.

I have contacted SheerID multiple times. They confirmed that my verification is valid and active, but also told me that only Figma can fix how the Education status is applied to my account. On your side, I have also been redirected to SheerID, which creates an endless ping-pong with no resolution.

Today, despite having a valid verification, I cannot benefit from my Figma Education status, which is clearly not normal.

I am therefore asking for a concrete action:

Sorry to hear you’ve been stuck in this verification loop for so long, especially after your student status was already approved. I think this might have happened because you’ve changed the email address on your Figma account after you status was verified.
