Hello - the higher education institution that I teach for (OpenClassrooms) is on the list of approved schools, but I don’t have an email address associated with the school (none of the educators do). I filled out the form to verify and selected the appropriate options but ran into an error.Screenshot: https://shottr.cc/s/FDcX/SCR-20251001-h57p.pngReached out to figma support and they rejected my request since I am on a starter account (I was on an education account). Thanks!Niki Brown 

I do not know how, but in Figma, I got this point using which I was able to set the center of rotation. Last time, I saw this in Sketch, but this popped up today. I was surprised. But then, the moment I duplicated the ear vector, this was gone. I do not know how I triggered it. Tried lots of things and searched all around. Couldn’t find a shortcut or a trigger using which I could enable this.

Hello Figma Support Team,The core feature for measuring distances between objects by holding the Alt  key has suddenly stopped working for me.This happened unexpectedly in the middle of my work. The measurement guides (redlines) no longer appear when I select an object, hold Alt, and hover over another element.I have already performed the following troubleshooting steps without success: Restarted my computer. Reinstalled the Figma desktop app. Tested this in both existing and brand new files (the issue occurs everywhere). Tested in the browser version of Figma, and the issue persists there as well. None of these steps have resolved the problem. Could you please look into this?Thank you.

I created a color system using variables, then published the file and applied it to another file.The connection works fine, but when I click on variables it shows up empty.Is going back to the original file the only way to view the connected variables or styles? (Would like to see the organized variables at once in the connected file as well.)

Hi everyone,I’m trying to activate my Figma Education account, but whenever I attempt, I receive this error:"Looks like you've already been approved for this offer."I’ve followed all the steps multiple times and even tried with different files, but the issue still persists. It seems like my account is stuck in this state, and I can’t actually access the Education benefits.Has anyone faced this before, and could the Figma team help me resolve it?Thanks in advance!

When I select 10 objects and I align them, BEFORE the update, I see the distance between them and set it accordingly on right upper corner.Now after the UPDATE its GONE. Cant do anything. 2000hrs in to Figma and I lost my basics. WHY would you ever do something like this? 

I created this error message field, realized later there was a better way to set it up so changed the layout to this: I have some modals with form fields in them. There was a button to update the form fields within the modal, so I clicked it. However, the modals are still showing the old layout:  I don’t want to go through and manually update every single form field. How can I get all of them updated at once?

Items keep moving outside the parent frame when dragging them, copying and pasting them, or using alt+click to duplicate and drag. My coworkers are all experiencing the same thing and I’ve seen other posts on here but you close them after 3 days and don’t let anyone comment on them. Can you please fix this?  Thanks

Hi Figma Community,I attempted to re-verify my Figma student account, but the system is now showing “Verification limit exceeded.”I reached out to SheerID via email, but their response was:“We were unable to process your verification request. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.”Could you please suggest a solution for this issue? I won’t be able to re-verify my student plan otherwise, and this needs to be resolved before 29 September. Since SheerID has not provided any assistance, I would greatly appreciate your urgent support in resolving this matter. Thanks!

We had our DSM broken into two parts, one for colors and the other for everything else. Not sure why, just how it’s always been. I’ve spent the entire day trying to disconnect the colors one and consolidate them. The color variables are now in the right place, I can see it myself. But it won’t let me publish them. It will publish changes to the variables list, such as a new collection or a renaming, but the colors don’t show up for us anywhere in any other files. I’m completely lost.

I use COPY on one element, but as soon as I click on another, it copies the new element I clicked, losing the old one that was COPYed. This bug is driving me crazy, please help.

I’m trying to verify my student account via my ID. But it always says verification failed. And the reason they provide is it couldn’t find my last name in my ID card. Now let me clarify. My full name is “Sifatullah”. that’s it. Nothing before and after. And my ID says the name: “[redacted by moderator to remove personal information]”. Now, I tried the following combinations while filling up the Education verification form of Figma:[redacted by moderator to remove personal information]And both of these fail! So what else do I do? And now it even shows “Verification limit exceeded”. Please help. I need it for my upcoming project show.

These arrows used to be pointing at the logical direction, now the direction is switched up.

Hi, after I had been struggle to verify my academic status, contacted SheerID and waiting for response, I was noticed by my university to change my account Email address to my school gmail account. The problem is that since I had already processed my procedure to reverify my status by Sheer ID, I was blocked by Figma system. Considering the fact that now I have my account set with my School Email, I ask you to reset my verification record so that I can start the procedure again. Please don’t tell me to contact Sheer ID again because I already have. 

I can export my file to PDF and then convert to MS Word, but the file doesn’t convert cleanly. The resulting MS Word file requires cleaning every page; every text box has a duplicate and there are stray page numbers.   I’m looking for a faster solution to cleanly convert the file for a partner organization. Any suggestions?

What’s going on with Figma? I’m trying to upgrade from the free plan to the Professional plan, but the process gets stuck on the “Choose Seat Types” step. As soon as I click “Next: Payment Information,” the button gets disabled and nothing happens. How is this even acceptable functionality?

This is probably quite specific, but I am creating a drag and drop system where what is NOT dragged needs to be reactive to where the dragged object is. I can’t show you my real wireframes but here’s a representation that hopefully is clear enough: What I am “doing” is dragging the purple circle. I need to get it over to the first place (where the red circle is). When dragging, once the purple circle is dragged near the second position but NOT dropped, the yellow circle should react and move to the third position.Then I want to continue dragging to the first. Ideally this is of course one smooth motion.Currently though if I have the second frame and third, I have the interaction on the purple circle from the first to second on “On Drag”. But if I do the same for frame 2 to 3, I need to reclick the purple circle to start dragging again.Does anyone know a workaround for this?

I followed the process to ask for Education plan as teacher. The form, the documents.Then I got the email for sheerID telling me to click the link to verify my status, and I got this (pic).But it’s been more than 24 hours now and I still have nothing… Is this normal ?
