This is a question for plugin developers… Is there a min/max width and height for the dimensions of a plugin window? For example is it possible to make the plugin window very narrow (like 40 pixels for example), and make its height fill the height of the Figma application viewport? Also, is it possible to “dock” the plugin window to either side (right, left, top, or bottom) of the Figma UI, so that it’s basically attached to one of these sides.

I see a lot of design systems and starter kits create a primitive set of untis used for sizing and spacing but I struggle to see what the benefit is in creating the variables from the primitives rather than creating the variable values direct. Could someone shed some light on this in the event I am missing something.  Thanks for reading.Mark 

Hello,I created a fixed header. If I scroll through my prototype, buttons with “over hovering” are also displayed in the header bar, which is not supposed to be the case. How can I solve this? You can see the problem in the pictures, in picture 2 the mouse cursor was removed because it is an SC.I would be happy about help.Thanks in advance.

I’ve created a custom plugin to export my Figma variables.I have an opacity variable that is set to 0.8 However, when I export it, it gets exported with a value of 0.800000011920929 const variable = await figma.variables.getVariableByIdAsync(variableId);const { name, valuesByMode } = variable;console.log({name});console.log({valuesByMode}); When I use “nicer” numbers, like 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 or 1, the rounding error does not happen, but it does with pretty much any other numbers.

I’ve recently added a text layer. The font section is missing in the right pane when the text layer is selected. I only see a typography section. How can I change the font? 

I’m working on drafting out a tutorial for a complex process which involves highlighting buttons on the page with a drop-shadow effect to cause a glow on them. My problem is that after I duplicate that frame and remove the drop-shadow/glow effect from the button, it removes it at first but is reapplied when I either change something else on the frame or when I close the document and come back. So there’s no real way to remove the glow effect on a button once I’ve applied it to one and duplicated it… This is very frustrating and would appreciate any help in how to possibly resolve this!

Hi everyone,I'm having trouble with the new Figma Slides feature. When I try to copy and paste a layer from one page to another, it doesn’t go where I intend. Instead of placing the copied element on the existing slide I’m working on, it creates a brand-new slide with the contents. Is this a bug?Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated. Yesterday everything was fine but today when I wanted to see my prototype it started lagging badly .I have 3 pages with but they aren’t any complex and many more complex projects ran perfectly fine, this one doesn’t have an enormous amount of animation or components with a lot of variants (usually up to 2 var.)  How can I fix this? I’ve read “how to reduce figma memory usage” but it wasn’t really helpful.  edit: if i post it on Behance as a prototype it runs perfectly fine

Hi there, I’m trying to copy and paste a frame from a previous version within my file into my existing workspace. The frame is being pasted, but components and layers are showing as empty frames. Any solutions?

Hello! Today I accidentally deleted some elements from my space, but Figma has only versions which were created more than 30 days ago. I don’t understand why figma didn't do the backup version of my space before I did my delete, and now I can’t restore deleted elements from cmd+z and can’t restore my previous version because of the free account.Maybe I can restore my previous version from the support ticket?  

Hey, I’m a beginner and there is a doubt regarding how I can use two solid colors in one frame. For eg in the below given picture I want to make that green and white color background together.

So I’m new to figma, and I’ve been trying to search for a way to do this but haven’t found, and I don’t know if it’s possible.Basically this is within a frame, my homepage frame and I wanted to make the menu change the subject as you click in another theme.So you start in “starters” but when you click on “ramen” it changes to the ramen menu, but all this in the same page. Would this be possible to make? Every video I’ve seen has been showing me how to do it, but it's on different pages.

Hello. I am making a app and found a problem I don’t know have to fix. Let say I scroll down on page 1 and navigate the other pages (by clicking navigation at the bottom), I start at the bottom of that page. So where I am at Page 1 is where I will start on the next page. Anyone who knows the fix for this?

I’m building a plugin that manages numbered dots on canvas, organized in groups. In the plugin, the user can click a button to add a dot to the canvas. Is there a limit to how many people can view a model in presentation view at the same time? I get the limits on viewing a model or project itself but I want to share the link of a demo of the model with a lot of people. I feel like I can’t get a straight answer on this.

Just updated to the latest version ( 124.3.3). The option to copy text from the inspect mode has disappeared? Where did it go? This has totally slowed down my workflow…
