Hello,I’m having an issue with some components in my design system. The file is quite heavy, and for several components, the variants no longer appear in the right-hand panel. To switch variants, I have to select the component, right-click, and use the “Change variant” menu. From there, I can access all the variants, but they still don’t show up in the right panel. It really looks like a bug.Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you manage to fix it?Thanks!
Did we lose the ability to drag and drop inside Figma Make code editor view? It was working a few weeks ago and now I can’t do anything. Entire design team is having this problem. This affects images, logos, shared .md .tsx files, etc.
When I am double tapping on the canvas for the right click menu- it is not working. It only works if you click on track pad. The double tap works on layers but not on canvas.
Maybe there’s a workaround I’m not aware of — any help would be appreciated.I’m trying to create a card component with text and an image. The tricky part is the image: it should be flexible and support different aspect ratios across component instances. In the main component, I use an image placeholder for the visual. However, when I swap that placeholder with a real image in an instance, the image always conforms to the placeholder’s dimensions instead of preserving its original size/aspect ratio. I tried different auto-layout options but nothing worked.I’m looking for a way to build this so that the image resizes based on the card dimensions and it’s own aspect ratio, rather than forcing all images into the same fixed size. Another possible solution (and probably a better one) would be for the image to always fill the card width, while the height adjusts automatically based on the image’s original aspect ratio. Is something like that achievable with components and Auto Layout? Here’s
I was on a monthly plan, and now got asked to pay for three full seats with an annual fee. team is locked out.
In a library file our team set up collections of variables and created two modes, one for Desktop and one for Mobile. We then decided that we wanted Mobile to be the default mode. As a workaround to make Mobile the default mode, we renamed the modes, swapping their names (so, Desktop → Mobile, and Mobile → Desktop). We then swapped all the variable values so they were under the correct mode. The problem is that now any pages or frames that were set to a specific variable mode before we renamed and swapped the modes still show the old naming even though they now have the correct styles based on what is supposed to be the default mode (Mobile). So, if I chose Mobile for the variable mode for a page or frame before the swap, it now reads Desktop when the styles are correct for Mobile. Also, new pages or frames created do not have this issue, so I can have two frames right next to each other, one that says “Auto (Mobile)” and one that says “Auto (Desktop)” and they both look correct. This sa
hello,We were paying for figma but it has now moved to a free plan. We wanted to pay annually by invoice. Please can you confirm what has happened?
I have been using the Copy Properties shortcut for years, but it suddenly stopped working in the past few weeks. I can still right-click to select ‘Copy Properties’ and use the keyboard shortcut to paste properties. Is this a bug after the updates?
I’ve found a similar forum that describes my issue exactly. Quoting the same problem:I am a University student that was using the Figma Education Plan last year, and over my courses made many projects under this account. The semester recently ended and I wanted to add some of the projects to my portfolio, but when I logged in using Google, Figma redirected me to the survey that you do when you initially register for a new account. Once I got past it I was indeed, greeted with a completely new Starter account. All of the files I had worked on were gone, all the saved libraries and teams I had made are nowhere to be seen as well.I still was able to find and open some of the files from my browser history, so they were thankfully not deleted, but all of my access is removed despite being able to still see my name and icon in the project’s editor’s history. When I click the [ask to edit] button, I even get the request in my exact same email’s inbox! But when I try to accept it, an error occ
Hi there, I have spent an enormous amount of time building the UI of a mobile APP with Figma Make.I have purchased the full seat plan with the only objective to be able to push the code to GitHub, but it's showing an error that just stays "can't create repository" The solution Figma Make is giving me is to manually copy , paste and recreate all the project structure manually locally, this is not acceptable. The project i have is working correctly, I converted it to react native environment but urgently need to push it to a repository to keep working on it locally from the code.Ticket created: 1681642Urgency: HIGHNote: The repo is created but it does not push anything to it.

Hi, I have already contacted SheerID support and they have been unable to help me get through the verification limit. I was given access to an alternate email ID but that lets me have only limited access to my school files. This is urgent, please!
I’ve just started to use Figma Slides, I want to be able to change the colour of the pasteboard surrounding the slide but unlike in Figma Design, I can’t see an option to do this. Is it not available in Slides?
There’s an issue where every time I open the app, it’ll add the login item. I see the following related issue, and I can follow those steps, but it still re-adds the login item every time I open the app. I feel like this is malecious. Please make it so that if I get rid of the login item, it does not re-add itself every time I open the app.
Hi, I used to hit control+right click on trackpad and it opened the right click menu/context menu. First it wasn’t working on Chrome, but now it’s also not working on Safari. Please help as this is an important feature. I’m not using the mouse, only trackpad. Please note I have checked preference settings and the CTRL+right click - not working for me at all. This wasn’t an issue a few month ago.
I have created a set of wireframes to simulate the user interface of a scientific instrument we are developing. Initially we were designing for a touch screen but now we need to convert to physical buttons with adjacent “soft” keys, and I am trying to figure out how to convert the prototype to this input paradigm without having to re-create the entire Figma prototype.Below is a sample frame suitable for touch:Default start button statePressed start button stateYou can see the “pressed” state on the “Start” button which is invoked by clicking on the button in the prototype.I would like to convert to the style below with physical buttons and soft keys:Physical buttons - non pressedHowever, in the prototype I would like to click on the physical buttons rather than the on-screen buttons for a more authentic user experience and have the on-screen button change state as the adjacent physical button is clicked. What is the easiest way to do this? I was hoping I could create a frame with no fi
Wrestling with yet another gap in basic Figma functionality.I’ve inherited a design file w/ an extensive set of variables -- lots of tokens, primitives, etc. I just want a single, top-down view of how the variables were organized and their values. Basically what you can see (but can’t print or export) from the current variables table view. Can’t do it, even with plug-ins -- I get variable NAMES but not values if the values are other referenced variables. AND THAT’S WHAT I NEED TO REVIEW!This should be a basic management feature. Figma is deferring too much basic stuff to plug in developers which puts the onus on users to 1) do additional research into plug-ins and 2) learn the ins/outs of plug-ins of varying quality. If someone has a solution I haven’t found yet, LMK. In the meantime, thanks for letting me vent. Soitnly PS - My current solution is to take screenshots and print them. Cripes. PPS - Not slamming the plug-in community. Amazing stuff going on there. Thanks! But you’re letti
Hi Figma team 👋,I’m posting here because my K-12 Education verification is being blocked at the institution level, not the document level. When selecting my school during the SheerID verification process, I immediately receive this message:“This benefit is not available. The educational institution you selected is not eligible.”This message appears before any documents are reviewed, which suggests that my school is currently marked as not eligible in the SheerID / Figma eligibility database.School details Name: Keisung Primary School Location: Daegu, Republic of Korea Education level: K-12 (Elementary School) Official school domain: keisung.dge.es.kr I’ve attached a screenshot showing the exact eligibility message for reference. This is a legitimate K-12 school under the local education authority, but it seems the school itself is not yet included in the list of eligible institutions used by SheerID. Because of this, all verification attempts are automatically blocked or closed. At
Hi Figma team,I use Figma under [redacted by moderator to remove personal information]. When I try to activate the Education plan and complete the verification form, I repeatedly get “Verification Limit Exceeded” after entering all the required information.I contacted SheerID, and they confirmed my verification is already approved/activated and advised me to contact Figma to have it reflected on my account.Verification details: Email: [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] Request ID: [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] Date verified: [redacted by moderator to remove personal information] I also emailed education@figma.com earlier this week, but haven’t heard back yet.My spring semester starts tomorrow and I need Education access for my course. Could you please help escalate and apply/restore the Education plan for this account? I can share screenshots if needed.Thank you!

Dear Figma Support Team,I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out with concern regarding the sudden suspension of my Figma account registered under the email [redacted by moderator to remove personal information]. Figma has been an essential part of my professional workflow, and I have several important projects and case studies stored in my account that are crucial for my ongoing work.I kindly request you to please review this suspension and, if possible, restore my account. If there was any issue or violation, I would greatly appreciate it if you could inform me of the reason so I can ensure it never happens again. My intention has always been to use Figma responsibly and in full compliance with your policies. I truly value Figma as a design platform and rely on it daily for my professional growth.
Hi, I had the pro plan but now is on the starter. Why is free editing restricted and must require a paid professional plan but enabled free editing in my other “founder’s team’ workspace?[Moderator note: The title of this post was updated from “Free Editing” to “Editing locked after downgrading from Professional to Starter plan” on Jan 11, 2026.]
