Greetings fellow Figma users! Last week I designed a social media post for a client using Montserrat as the main font. Today I was designing another one for them, so I copied the text boxes to another Frame. As soon as I selected them with the text editing tool the appearance of the font changed.These are all NOT locally installed Google fonts, so it might be related to an update on the library of Google fonts, or Figma’s for that matter. I tried to verify this with the Way Back Machine, although the website snapshots aren’t loading properly. Has anyone identified something like this before? if so, how can it be fixed?Thanks in advance! 😁 The image shows 2 groups of texts written with the typeface “Montserrat”, exemplifying how its appearance changed from October the 1st to the 11th, 2025.

Hi, I am getting an error accessing my file "This is an unassigned draft file.” I need help trying to re-access it or to see who is currently the admin of the file. I thought it was a file I created in a group project, but I am now receiving this error. Thanks for the help!

Hey, I new to Figma and I'm currently using the Figma MCP after designing my first frame - yeah, just a frame. I wanted to know how (well) the MCP works.I tried it with VS Code and Antigravity yet and the LLMs have problems with formating the components correctly and I don't know why.Texts overlap, components which are positioned lower in the actual Figma Frame are positioned higher in React Native. For instance I created a grey elipse which you see just half on the screen to create a "visual border". In React Native the LLM always positions the elipse to high.Is there a specific workflow which I have to follow to get the best / most precise results? As I said - I'm new :)

Hello,I am trying to verify my student status to access the Figma Education Plan through SheerID, but I encountered an issue during the process.At first, I received a message saying that my account could not be verified with the information provided. After a few attempts, the message now shows “Verification limit exceeded”, which prevents me from continuing the verification process.My college does not provide institutional email addresses for students — we use Gmail accounts for academic purposes. Other classmates from the same institution were successfully verified using the same type of Gmail account.At the moment, my Figma files are locked, which is affecting the continuity of my classes and the development of my portfolio.I would kindly like to request a reset of my verification attempts or guidance on how to proceed in order to restore access to the Education Plan.Thank you in advance for your attention and support.

Hello everyone,I’m currently a student working on publishing and design projects that require Figma, and I rely heavily on it to keep up with my classes.I recently tried to apply for the Figma Education Plan, but the system shows a message saying “Looks like you’ve already been approved for this offer.” and or “Verification Limit Exceeded”. (Regarding the “Verification Limit Exceeded”, I deleted my previous account and is making a new one with the same email (We were advised to delete it and try it again...) However, I can’t see any Education Plan details, when looking for it in the free option together with the other plans. The only available plans are the starter, professional and organization. Because of this, we were advised to use the Starter Plan for the sometime, but its limitations (file/team restrictions, access concerns, etc.) are making it hard to work efficiently and keep up with my classes and deadlines T-T Already sent a email to the SheerID regarding this and is waiting

We have launched our website; our CEO have decided unpublished the website made with Figma make, hoping to solve some issues, however today we can not publish it again and on Monday we have to present our work to an investor. Please someone who have solved this problem before give us some tips

Soy nuevo en el programa y tengo poco conocimiento respecto a como usar el programa. Sin embargo estoy tomando un curso por medio de Udemy el cual me esta ayudando a conocer las herramientas de FIGMA. en este momento tengo una duda respecto a las variables, pues al seleccionar un grupo de variables y querer duplicarlo no me permite realizar la acción y tengo que crear un nuevo grupo de manera manual, en lugar de duplicarlo. si doy doble click o utilizo los comando simplemente no sucede nada y no me arroja opciones. me gustaría saber como puedo solucionarlo o si es una herramienta que ya no esta disponible en el programa 

On the desktop app,  I can open my project. However only the AI chat column is there.  I can't get to the layers panel or anything else.  I've worked on this for 3 hours.  Unistalling and reinstalling. Dragging bars left and right.  Nothing works.  Help!

Organization  A would like to do creative development in the Figma instance for Org A.  When their development is approved, they would then like to move it to Org B’s instance.  Org B is the source of truth for the current production creative.  While Org A will develop in Org A’s Figma, there will also be people directly developing in Org B’s instance.  Org A is not open to using a logically partitioned space on Org B’s instance and must use their own instance.Org A will need a sync of all production creative changes from Org B, so they can ensure they have the current creative to start with.  Is there a way to sync updated files between organizations?Is there anyway to do code versioning and control across the two instances?

Hello,In the color picker and with the eyedropper tool disabled, when I hover the rows of previously used colors, I don’t get the tooltip with the hex value of the color I am about to select. Instead, I get the eyedropper! I remember only a few days ago there was a tooltip there and it was very useful before any selection - the eyedropper doesn’t help at all, it’s like forcing me to choose based on visuals only. I couldn’t find any setting that could possibly have affected this. Any ideas?Thanks

Hi, occasionally I want to give access to members of my membership or to customers. This is usually for simple things like voting on a Figjam board. Do I really have to pay 5 Dollars for each member I give access to a single board for a short moment?

HelloI used to have a connection with my GitHub repository. I made a few changes in the website that I built up in Figma, and wanted to do one last time push before I publish the website. I am having issues with the website getting connected to the GitHub so I can push the code. I have the same message popping “Failed to Push the Code XXX repo” or if I try to create another repo to connect after I copy the Figma makefile, I am getting “Could not create repository” in red on the message. I tried doing it on chrome and Safari, both failed. I clean up cookies, I re-log in, I charge from another computer as well. The issue is consistent. So, what? 

Hi! When copying an element between frames, the pasted item does not maintain its original position and shows minor coordinate discrepancies.Someone know how to fix this problem?

I was flabbergasted to find that the Figma iOS app on my ipad can’t present the nice slides we have prepared. Are iPads not a thing?The experience of presenting through safari is also stuffed. It does not go full screen, the install app banner is permanently stuck and the top bar for Figma goes behind the ipad clock and status bar.Please do better and justify my iPad lifestyle.

Hi, is there a way to change exposure levels for GIFs and video inside Figma? I know I can with still images but I can’t seem to find a way to make adjustments to GIFs/video. Are there any workarounds? And is it possible in development mode?Thanks!

Hi everyone,I’m having an issue with the Figma → GitHub integration and I can’t seem to get it working.Every time I try to create a new GitHub repository directly from Figma, I get an error and the repo is not created. Because of that, I can’t export or sync the generated code to GitHub.Here’s what I’ve already tried: Removed the Figma GitHub integration from my GitHub account Deleted all repositories that were previously linked to Figma Reinstalled / re-authorized the GitHub integration from Figma Tried creating a brand-new repository again Repeated the whole process multiple times (around 10 attempts) Despite all of this, the issue persists: I still can’t create a repository from Figma, and the export to GitHub fails every time.At this point I’m not sure if this is: a permission or OAuth issue, a GitHub account / org configuration problem, or a known bug with the Figma GitHub integration. Has anyone run into this before, or does anyone know what else I can check or reset?
