I was using pen tool to draw a curve, somehow when I pressed “alt” trying to edit the curve through anchor handle,  it didn’t work if the anchor handle I is the last one of the vector or line. It’s really a big problem and slowing down my work. Did I accidentally change the setting or it’s a bug ?

I have been trying to apply for the Figma Education plan, and I’m currently a student at Arizona State University. I’m enrolled in six classes this semester, and I need access to the education plan for my upcoming coursework for the second session. However, my account is not being approved by SheerID.I’ve already submitted multiple forms of verification to SheerID, including: My tuition receipts My current class schedule My online student ID card (it is just my face and they don’t record the year.) A photo of my current student dashboard (It has my name and classes for the semester.) I also reached out to SheerID, but they informed me that they could not assist further and closed my assistance ticket. At this point, I’m unsure what else I can do. I am an active, enrolled student, and I genuinely need this plan for my classes. Is there any way we can resolve this issue or verify my eligibility another way?Thank you for your time and help.

Hello, im working on a reading of overlays interaction from the Rest Api but im not able to get the background-color/Position of it (see the picture first picture) It’s also unavailable on dev mod : We can cleary see the animation, duration etc but not the background/position...Am I missing something like it’s available somewhere? Or maybe is it a bug? A few team members of our organization has been working on a prototype design project with our Figma file, but this morning, all of us have lost access to the file. And none of us could find anything in the trash folder, even with the file owner account. When we click back the original link, it says “This design file may have been deleted, moved, or made unavailable. Try reaching out to the file owner”. But none of us has deleted, or moved it. Now we could not find the file anywhere, and we have not received any deletion confirmation email either. 

I set up an MCP server in cursor to try to move designs from Figma to Cursor. I followed the set up instruction from Figma exactly. I see a green badge with 6 tools and 3 prompts enabled in Cursor.I see a green enabled badge in the MCP section of dev mode in Figma. And yet… my cursor agent can’t grab designs from Figma. Keeps getting a tool not found error. I am on a regular paid plan.plz help

Hi all,Could someone please clarify how Dev Seats work?I was invited to a Figma project and used Dev Mode for three days (I wasn’t paying for any subscription at this point). After that, my designer told me they would need to pay extra for me to continue using it. After doing some research, I ended up subscribing to a Figma Professional plan because it seemed to have a dev seat included (probably a mistake?). Simultaneously my colleague accidently hit “approve” button on his end and his billing went up for adding an additional seat to their team.I now have access to Dev Mode again, but we’re not sure why. It could be because my colleague accidentally paid for the extra seat, or because I started paying for subscritpion/plan.Could someone explain how this is actually supposed to work? At the moment, it seems like we might both be paying for something unnecessarily, and we’re not sure which subscription is actually responsible for my access. Thank you! 

I want to be able to export my chat history to a .txt file. Is this possible?  Or how about a feature to drop current session transctrips into md files inside the code foldeR? 

I made a payment for an annual subscription of Figma Professional Colab seat. While the funds did get deducted from My MPESA account, there seems to have been an issue on Figma’s side with reflecting that since I got an email saying the subscription payment failed. How do I confirm receipt of funds or reversal and whether or not my account will be activated?

Hi everyone,I’m working with overlays in Figma and running into an issue where i need to make the background text invisible when the overlay opens.Is there a way in Figma to automatically hide, blur, or remove the background text/content when an overlay is triggered? I’m looking for a solution that works cleanly in prototype mode without duplicating screens if possible.Any tips, best practices, or workarounds would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,I have this problem where I can’t put a png image over my shapes/UI. It always either goes above, below or in between them. There’s no overlay button in my interaction page (as shown in a tutorial video).Can anyone help TT

 How is this meant to be used? What is the purpose?

We recently purchased a paid (Premium) Figma plan. Shortly after the purchase, our account was accidentally deleted. As a result, we currently cannot access or use the paid plan we have already paid for.We opened a support ticket about this issue, but it has not been processed yet and we have not received a response. We bought Figam because we need it 🤔

Now the service is getting worse since you make opening URLs in browsers, not Figma App as it was before. Please bring it back so that when user click to URL the Figma app is opened, not a browser. It was so good when you click to URL and the app opens! would be great if you bring it back

I updated my variables and now my components will not accept the new color variables. As shown here. I can manually reset but I want my variables to work! You can see that the applied variables disagree with the updated variables. Why are my components not inheriting the change?  

Is there a way to duplicate a Make file's code without duplicating the entire chat history? It looks like by default, the chat history is also duplicated when duplicating a Make file. I assume this entire chat history is passed to the LLM with each subsequent entry into the duplicated file’s chat, which presumably wastes tokens.

Hi everyone, I need some help with embedding a Figma prototype.I created two responsive website prototypes in Figma. When I open the prototype link directly in a browser, the interface adjusts correctly depending on the device (desktop or mobile), and everything looks fine.However, I embedded the prototype into a questionnaire (using Tally) to collect design feedback. The problem is that when I open the questionnaire on a desktop, the embedded prototype still appears in the mobile (phone-size) interface instead of switching to the desktop version.Does anyone know how to ensure that the desktop interface is displayed when the questionnaire is opened on a desktop device?For reference, the questionnaire platform I’m using is Tally.Thank you in advance!

Hello fellow Figma friends,For the life of me, I can’t understand why I can’t see the MCP setting under Preferences. I can’t see it in Dev Mode or Design mode. Thanks in advance :)  

I’m experiencing a recent issue when exporting PNG files from Figma. Even with all elements aligned to the pixel grid (X, Y, width, and height are integers), “Snap to pixel grid” enabled, and no effects applied (like blur, shadow, or feather), the exported images are showing unwanted blur and visual glitches.This did not happen before — it seems to be a new behavior. I’ve already tried exporting at 1× and 2×, using slices, double-checked parent frames, removed auto layout, and ensured everything is aligned — but the problem still occurs.I’d like to know if this is a recent bug, a change in how Figma handles exports, or if there’s any fix I’m missing.

Hi everyone,I’ve encountered a persistent and critical issue with Variables in our Design System. It seems like a synchronization bug between the Variable data and the Canvas renderer.The Problem: When I update the HEX code of a primitive color variable, the changes don’t always reflect on the canvas.Strange behavior observed: The "Split" state: If I select an affected element, the Selection Colors and the Variable Modal show the new color preview. However, the element on the Canvas still renders the old color. Instance vs. Main Component: In some cases, clicking through the layers of an instance or even cutting and pasting the instance back (Cmd+X / Cmd+V) forces a visual refresh. However, this does NOT work for Main Components — they remain stuck with the old color regardless. New objects are affected: Even if I create a completely new shape and apply that same variable, it sometimes still renders the old color.
