I'm one of the admins in my company and i’m leaving soon, how do I transfer all projects i’m the owner of automatically to another admin? I have hundreds of projects I own and can’t go back so many years to individually transfer ownership one by one. Is their a way to simply say “all the projects under my ownership are now moved to X”?

Hi @Evia,

I understand you're looking for a way to transfer ownership of your projects in bulk to another admin as you prepare to leave the company.

Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to bulk transfer ownership of files or projects. The current process is outlined here: Transfer ownership of files or projects

However, I want to clarify that in Figma, the "Owner" simply refers to the creator of a resource and doesn't grant special privileges over an Admin or an Editor.

I also want to explain how Figma handles resources when a user is removed from an Organization, as this process may address your concern.

When an Organization Admin removes a user from the organization, the following automatically occurs:

  • Their access to the organization is immediately removed.
  • The contents of their Drafts are moved to the organization's Shared Projects folder, ensuring no work is lost. (More details: Manage drafts of removed users )
  • They are removed from any teams they own
    • From there, the Team Admin(s) will be able to carry out any administrative tasks on the team.
    • An Organization Admin can join any visible teams as a team admin if needed.(More details here: Guide to teams)
  • Still provide existing Editors access to the user's Files and Projects while they are ownerless.

Here are some additional resources:

Thanks,
