Situation:

I was using an education account in Figma. I used all my credits in Figma Make, so I created a professional account.

Now I’m trying to copy and paste the same frame into Figma Make, but I keep getting an error saying:

“The image is too large. Please reduce the number of images or use smaller image sizes.”

Question:

What should I do to fix this?

Hi @Bokyeong — Celyn from Figma Community Support here.

Thanks for sharing the context, I understand you were previously able to use this same frame in Make on your Education account, but are now seeing an “image too large” error after switching to a Professional account.

Since this worked before, I’d like to narrow down what might be different this time—could you confirm a couple of things?

  • Are you pasting this into a new Make file on your Professional account, or into an existing one you’ve already been working in?
  • When copying, are you selecting the top-level frame, or multiple layers/groups within it?
  • Since it last worked, has anything been added to the frame — like additional images, duplicated assets, or hidden layers?

This will help us narrow down whether the issue is related to how the frame is being brought into Make, or the content within the frame itself.

It would be really helpful if you could share the following so we can take a closer look:

  • A link to the affected file
  • Invite support-share@figma.com and grant “Can View” access (this will not impact your billing and will allow us to reproduce the issue and investigate with Engineering.)

Any additional details you can share would be really helpful as I continue troubleshooting this with you.
