To anyone using Figma across multiple client organizations (e.g., at a design agency):In the Figma Desktop App, it is difficult to recognize which organization is currently "active" across multiple tabs. This leads to a critical risk: accidentally creating a new file in a client’s workspace when it was intended for another organization.Because Figma defaults the "active context" to the last one visited, a simple shortcut or clicking the "+" tab can result in hosting internal or sensitive data in the wrong workspace. Is there any technical workaround or structural solution to make organization boundaries more rigid in the Desktop App?We have already tried manual workarounds such as: Opening different client projects in separate windows. Using different browser profiles with specific colors to distinguish Orgs. However, these are not ideal. In a fast-paced agency environment, relying on a designer's "manual vigilance" is not a sustainable solution to prevent this security risk.Relying o

I accidentally clicked the purchase button in the Figma app. I have never used any paid features, so I would appreciate it if you could consider a refund. The email address registered with Figma is the same as my current email address. [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII]
Hi,I am not a designer who edits projects, but I am the owner of the file. I don’t want to continue my subscription, but when I cancel my seat, the file containing the design system will disappear from the accounts of the designers connected to it.Please let me know how I can ensure that the designers retain access to the design system without my subscription.Thank you!
Hi, I just applied for the Figma K-12 Education plan. I used my school email and submitted all the details. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get the verification email for K-12 accounts? Any experience would be helpful!
It's my personal design work, and as far as I remember, the December 22nd and December 15th works are completely missing files. I checked all the trash cans and version records and drafts, and they're completely gone
How do I switch my account from the educational plan to a free plan account?
I have (on the left) this component in my design system that keeps different styling of icons and algo allows me to swap it to an image…Recently Figma started to mess up with the internal icon position even though all settings possible are set as "center". When I first swap to the component, it appears correct, but as soon as i click outside the instance, the positioning gets messed up.What else could be possibly happening?
I’ve been getting a persistent error in Figma Make for the past three days. It was working fine before, and I’m currently on app version 326.I’ve tried the common fixes suggested by other users, including duplicating the file, testing new prompts, and restarting the app, but none of these have worked.I’ve also opened an issue and granted access to share@figma.com, but the invite hasn’t been accepted yet. This is affecting my workflow, so I’d appreciate your support in resolving it. Screenshot of the error has been attached
It's very frustrating to realize that Figma Make can't perform a simple login/registration authentication using SQL in SupaBase. I've been stuck in error loops for 3 days.Figma make is really limited to being an advanced prototyping tool.Perhaps I confused it with the same proposal as Lovable, v0, Replit, and other Vibe Coding tools.
So I am trying to fix a scroll issue on one of my figma sites pages and I think I have run into a bug. I have all the blocks set to the same position (Relative) yet one of them just wont play well with the others. Should I just delete the whole page a re-make it since it’s beta? I cant seem to get it to re-side for mobile correctly and keep the correct scroll. Open to any suggestions.
When attempting to add the configuration with Amazon Q, the startup process fails due to a non-200 status code. This might be related to Figma’s login requirement, though I’m not certain. I’ve followed the setup instructions outlined in the Figma MCP Server documentation: https://developers.figma.com/docs/figma-mcp-server/remote-server-installation/. However, the documentation does not reference Amazon Q specifically, which suggests that this client may not have been tested yet. For context, I’ve been able to successfully connect to the local version of the MCP Server using Amazon Q.Has anyone gotten this working? Can the Figma team please test with Amazon Q and provide directions about how to proceed? Amazon Q is the offering that our company has chosen to use and many developers are running on Linux machines. This means that their only way to access the MCP server is via the remote option which is currently unavailable to them.
Hi all, We’ve built a Figma plugin that converts frames into MJML/HTML using a WebAssembly module. On some machines the plugin works fine, but on others (mostly Macs with Apple Silicon) it crashes part-way through with this error: What happens: Some components (usually text) render successfully. As soon as the plugin hits a problematic component, it throws the error and everything after that fails to generate. The issue isn’t consistent — some users/accounts never see it, while others hit it frequently. What we’ve tried: Clearing Figma caches and reinstalling the desktop app. Testing on multiple accounts and machines. Disabling Cloudflare/WAF rules on our API. The problem still persists. Impact:Users can’t reliably export frames — exports stop midway and produce incomplete output. Suspected cause:It looks like the WASM module is running out of memory or hitting a bug with certain text inputs. The error consistently comes from the WASM runtime. Has anyone run into this befo
Hello everyone,I’m a master’s student at Northeastern University and I’m trying to access the Education plan, but I’m running into an issue. The system shows: ”Verification Limit Exceeded. We're glad you're enthusiastic, but it looks like you've already redeemed or attempted to redeem this offer.”I asked Figma AI and it suggested that I contact SheerID. However, when I reached out to SheerID, they replied: ” We were unable to process your verification request. While we can't offer further details or support for this specific inquiry, please ensure all information submitted is accurate and meets the eligibility criteria for future attempts. Your ticket has now been permanently closed.”At this point, I’m not sure what I should do next. Has anyone experienced something similar, or knows how I can resolve this?Thank you so much.
I have a prototype where I want to give users the ability to select and unselect add-ons, at their discretion. I have a button instance with True and False values, a base price for the product diamond_base, and want to update that value by 400, depending on if the button is selected. I have tried all manner of things and the closest I’ve gotten is: Button is True and the value is added, the Button is False and no value is removed, Button is True again and the value is added again, but the price never decreases. All this takes place on the Click interaction. What might I be doing incorrectly?Attached is my branching conditional statements, but this instance changes the button to the selected state and adds the value, without resetting the button or removing the value. Any suggestions are appreciated for a workaround.
Hey, I just want to be able to have more than 3 design files, what is the cheapest plan I should get for this?
Starting last week some (but not all) of my interactive components have been displaying unusual activities:I have a button component with a hover variant. On hover the button changes to the hover variant, on mouse out it resets the text override and even surfaces hidden component elements (like an icon instance). All layers are named the same. I have been using this same component set and interactions for 2 years, this bug only started last week. Here is a screen recording. Keep an eye on the “Save Changes” and “Delete” buttons. This bug is random. It only affects some buttons on some screens and I am unable to reproduce it consistently. This bug is appearing on in the desktop app and the web app. Another similar but is affecting a dropdown prototype (again, have been using the same one for 2 years): All of these bugs appear to only be happening in the native app prototype view and on Chrome on Mac. These do not appear in Firefox. I have double checked that all layers are named the sam

Hey, I just published a Bootstrap Design System into a team library. When I create a file, and import that library, I get the assets but not the variables. The variables were published, I confirmed that. When I go to include the library in my file, it shows me all the variables included with that library. But after including the library, and importing it, only the assets come in. No variables. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks guys!-Mike

I’m using a personal Figma account (no teams, no collaborators). At least 5 files that were previously in Drafts are now missing.Details:The files were Drafts, not in any project They are not in Trash They are not searchable I did not delete, move, or transfer them This appears to have happened without any user actionI’ve also exhausted all available troubleshooting steps, including searching across my account and working through the AI support chat, which was unfortunately unable to locate or explain the issue. Because these were Draft files, I’m concerned they may have become orphaned, detached from my account ID, or affected by a Draft indexing issue or backend cleanup.Could you please:Check for orphaned or detached Draft files associated with my account Verify whether these files still exist under my user ID Let me know whether recovery or reattachment is possibleI can provide approximate file names, creation dates, or direct links if helpful. This issue seems to be the same as rep
Hey support team, I need your help. The project files that was created for me on August 2024 has suddenly disappear from my account. There seems to be a problem with the rendering of the PlantUML diagrams on the figma board, but in the editor it works properly.I create a new diagram (which renders), go to edit (which shows properly), change the code (which is correctly visualized), but when I go to save, the diagram is not rendered correctly. When I go to edit again, it shows the unsaved code.
double billedHi, I got double billed for the month of January. Can you please refund one? Thank you
Hello,I’m reporting a billing issue related to file and team permissions.I shared a Figma project strictly in an educational context. Without my authorization or confirmation, users who accessed the file were upgraded to Professional seats, and my account was charged automatically.I did not approve a plan upgrade, paid seats, or any billing change. This appears to be a permissions and billing control issue, where third-party access triggered a paid upgrade without explicit owner consent.I have already opened a support ticket (#1694611), but I wanted to ask if this behavior is expected or if there is a recommended way to prevent unauthorized billing when sharing files for educational purposes.Thank you.
