Unable to move Figma window or select title bar without closing tabs

Hi, when I have many document tabs open I am unable to select the Figma window itself. I need to select the Figma window title bar to move the window but when there are many tabs open it prevents me from selecting the title bar. I am forced to choose which documents to close and sometimes all of them are important. Please fix so that part of the title bar is always selectable regardless of how many documents are open

Hi @GenericUser, thanks for flagging this!

I completely understand not wanting to accidentally close necessary tabs. I just tried to reproduce this behavior but haven’t been successful. Are you using Figma in the desktop app or the browser?

With this additional context, I should be able to try and reproduce the issue again. Then, I can pass this feedback along to the team for improvement.

I am using Figma in the Desktop app. You see in this screenshot there is no space on the task bar to move the Figma window and I have to close tabs. I open enough tabs and I will encounter this issue

Thanks for the screenshot, @GenericUser

You should be able to click around the area where the icons to minimize, open a new window, or close the desktop app to grab the desktop app to move the entire window. May I ask if you’re also using the desktop app in full screen? If so, you should be able to hover towards the top to exit full screen.

If you are referring to not being able to move the individual tabs, you can hover over individual tabs then click on them to move, just be sure to favor the left side of the tab as to not accidentally close the tab by clicking on the X. Another thing that may help is clicking this icon; it will open a drop down menu of all of your open tabs in your current desktop app.

Nope. I want to move the whole Figma window. If I have enough number of tabs open, the area where I am supposed to move the window disappears. I am using Figma on a maximised window (not full screen).

Thanks for clarifying, @GenericUser

I will pass this onto the team to investigate further. May I ask what specific OS are you using on your device?

They’ll be able to use this information to try and reproduce the behavior and pinpoint the issue.

Thanks for the quick follow up, @GenericUser

Passing this onto our team now to test this on our Windows desktop app. Is your desktop app currently up to date? And when did you first start experiencing this issue?

Knowing the version you’re using and the timing of when the issue first began will help the team determine if there was any recent changes that may have inadvertently caused the issue.

Desktop app is up to date. Can’t remember when I first had this issue. Should be around 10 March
