Hi Figma Support Team,

I accidentally deleted one of my Figma files, and it was also removed from the Trash, but I wanted to check if it is possible to restore it from your server-side backups.

As unfortunately by mistake it was clicked- ‘ permanently delete’ from trash.

Here are the details:

  • File Name: Untitled or Untitled 2

  • Date & Time When File Was Deleted: 17 April 2026 around 10PM SAST

This file is very important for my ongoing project.
Please let me know if there's any chance to recover it.

Waiting for team figma to get back me as soon as possible with recover my file link.

Hi @Stacey Nyanhi — welcome to Figma Forum. I'm sorry about the situation, and I understand how important this file is to your project.

I want to be upfront: Generally, once a file has been permanently deleted, it can't be restored. However, I'd like to make sure we've confirmed that before closing any doors. If you're able to locate a link to the file (try checking your browser history or asking any teammates who may have accessed it) please share it here and I'll raise your case with our Product Support team so they can verify the file's status.

If you've already opened a ticket, please share that case number as well so I can connect the dots.

For more on how file deletion works: Delete and restore files.

We'll do what we can from here. 🙏🏻
