ProblemWhen I see all my projects, I would expect to see them in alphabetical order or by the latest modified date. I never have the need to see the list in reverse-alphabetical order, or the project I touched years ago. If the list is in alphabetical order, sorting it by the latest modified date will show the oldest project first after I click on the “Last modified” column header. I have to click again for the list to show the newer projects listed at the top. REVERSING THE SCENARIO – now, I want to see the list in alphabetical order, so I click on the “Name” column header, and lo and behold the list is show in… reverse-alphabetical order. This means I have to click again to reverse the order. NeedMy guess is that a (BIG) majority of Figma users would want to see their list in alphabetical order or by the latest date that the project was dealt with.SolutionPlease set the default sort action for the “Name” column to be in A–Z alphabetical order, and for the “Last modified” column to sh

Hi Figma team, I'm reaching out because I have a Figma Education Plan but I'm unable to find or access the Figma AI features. I've looked through my account settings and interface, but I can't locate the AI tools. Could someone from the support team help me understand if AI features are currently included in the Education Plan, and if so, how I can activate them? If they're not yet available for education users, I'd appreciate knowing about any future plans or timelines for implementing these features. Thank you for your assistance!

I can't find a file in my Figma account, I looked for it in the various folders and also in the trash section but I can't find it. I have the link to this file but when I open it I get the message that the file may have been deleted, moved or inaccessible. How can I find out what happened to this file? It just doesn’t return results. Generally, Figma been running sooooo slow. Constantly needing to reload pages/files each time you focus on the file… Then there are the conectivity issues (failing to save to cloud)… What a mess.

Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with certain elements of my components.It seems that the auto layout is being overfilled with black, rather than staying clean and containing only the text inside:Have you ever experienced a similar issue? On Friday I spent a great deal of care creating a system of variables and applying it to new frames. When I open the file today I can see the created frames, and the correct values applied to an object’s properties, but it’s not referring the variable. The value is greyed out, and when I open the variables panel, there’s one collection of variables I had from before, but not the one I created on Friday. I tried restoring older versions, but the issue remains. I tried opening it in the browser, but the issue remains. Any help to shed a light on this will be so appreciated!

I’m designing and SaaS dashboard, and I’m trying to fill a bit of space between a header and a another section within an auto layout, but for some reason i cant select 'fill container" for the height. I can do it for width, but not the height. Is there something I’m missing to understand the properties behind fill container for height?

The top picture is from Figma and the bottom is from Android Studio. We also have same issue on iOS.Is there a way to ensure that Figma is closer to how the font is rendered in the app? Right now we are going to have alot of issues with padding both between the text boxes and also top and bottom in general. We have tried to “Vertical trim” to “Set cap height to baseline”, but that does not work either because the descenders are not in the text frame.Thank you :)

I went through the usual steps to share a FigJam with my students today, and it would not work, no matter what I did.  Is there a bug? !--a=1-->

There seems to be a bug in “Publish updates”. When I’m trying to deselect some checkboxes, others are selected and vice versa. This drives me crazy! It disappears after a restart. but comes back after a while. Please see attached screen recording. Screen recording

Hi other users,At our firm we have a Figma enterprise plan. Due to lesser designers and developers, we are no longer in need of an enterprise plan and want to change it into an organization plan. However, how do you do that? I’m walking straight into a dead end every time, cannot find any information about it (except for upgrading plans) and get no respons from Figma. So I am kind of desperate at the moment. Does any of you know how to do this or have done this before? We used to have Minimize/Expand UI menu options on the Figma desktop app. Why was this removed? It's most flexible when there are options we can customize with other keyboard shortcuts. Every user is different, and customization maximizes productivity.Was there a specific reason this was removed? Can this menu option be brought back? It's currently present in the Figma menu inside the web app but not in the desktop menu options. This makes it impossible to have access to that function and assign other keyboard shortcuts.Please bring this back to regain user customization. Having a web-based app already has its limitations, and the little custom things that can actually be accessible are being removed. :( ​@Figma_Desktop  

Hey, I am on a free account and want to transfer a project. I followed this guide from Figma but I don’t see the ‘transfer’ in the drop down menu. Also I don’t have the Admin menu item for that team. I am the owner though. Same for newly created teams. Is that a bug? What am I doing wrong?

However, in my case, it is a game, and depending on whether you swipe left or right (and whether or not this corresponds to the correct answer) you get a +1 point or -1 point.I have created a frame called “Point” inside the swipeable cards (the cards are a component). “Point” is 100% visible in the swiped version (after drag), and 0% visible in the static version (before drag). I am testing this on three different cards - 1 image and 2 videos.I had several problems:1st Attempt: I created two boolean variables “+1” and “-1”. And attached these to the “+1” and “-1” labels accordingly on each card. This worked for a while, but at some point it seemed to be broken and I could not really understand what did not work. Does Figma support restricting access to specified IP addresses?

Hi, I’ve tried to search this, but couldn’t quite find what I was after. I have created a component, and it has 14 variants. The options I can see is that they can follow each other vertically or horizontally, but not both. At the moment all I can get it to do is go horizontally forever, or vertically forever. Is there are way to create the variants to start new rows basically - be it horizontally or vertically? I know this is probably user error, so please help! Thanks in advance 🙂

After designing some interfaces, when i went to check out the presentation, it doesn’t appear right. 

I am creating public prototype links to be shared outside of my organisation. I've recently visit some AI generation sites that it's possible to generate the contents of a Figma directly into my clipboard, allowing me to paste directly into the Figma.I'm curious as to how this is accomplished, and I'd like to use this approach on my own site as well.

I had two files open on Figma desktop app. I restarted my Mac and the two files cannot be found anywhere. I have checked deleted (by anyone) as well. They are not there in my recently closed history.  Please help.

How can I change the username in the Figma forum or if that’s not possible delete the account and recreate it with the right username?

Links have stopped working in nested components. I have build a library file that leans heavily on Links around pages to move between documentation and the actual components. I have spen d a lot of time setting up multiple linking strategies and this was working for a long time… until recently. Now while the links are visile and work on my component that has multiple variants going to differnet links, when I then nest them into a more complex component the link does not work. I have been pulling my hair out on this one as it has made my design library less approachable.

Hi! I’ve skimmed through the hyphenation-related threads on the forum, but since they contain very few comments, I’m kinda wondering how other professionals tackle the lack of proper hyphenation settings in Figma? I’m aware of the Nisa App, and judging from the reviews it probably is worth it, but plugins by their nature have some downsides compared to native functions in figma.Do y’all use plug-ins for this, do you do it manually, like adding hyphens where needed and keeping track of them not jumping around if there is some late-stage re-formatting happening; do youuse another application like Illustrator and then re-paste it your figma layout? Or are there solutions to this that I’m not aware of? It really is beyond me on so many levels how hyphenation (which even exists in CSS since way back) has not yet been implemented into Figma proper ( I started looking into it like 3+ years ago), but I figure most must have found some workaround, so just curious how y’all go about it.
