Request for Recovery of Older Version History

Hello Figma Support Team,

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m reaching out regarding a Figma file where I need access to version history from approximately 5–6 months ago (around July 2025). Currently, I’m on the free plan, and while I can see timestamps of past activity in the version history panel, I’m unable to access or restore those older versions.

This file contains important work, and I would really appreciate it if you could check whether there is any possibility of recovering or restoring older versions from your end.

Here are the details:

  • File name: M&A
  • Approximate date of required version: July 2025

I understand there are plan limitations, but I wanted to check if there’s any way to retrieve this data or if any backup might still be available.

    Hi, ​@Ayushi Jain I know losing access to important work is stressful.

    You’re correct, the Starter plan lets you restore versions from the last 30 days only.

    The good news is that your work isn't gone. If you upgrade the team to a Professional plan, those versions from July will become immediately available for you to restore.
