how do i figure out what varirants are conflicting and how to fix it? It has to be one of the x vectors but how do I figure out what’s wrong with them? 

First picture is mine and the second one is from a youtube tutorial. But what’s in the 2nd picture won’t show up on my screen in the first picturem why? 

Has anyone had the problem lately of making design changes, but they aren’t updating in the prototype view? This doesn’t happen all the time, but when it does I need to refresh the prototype tab for the changes to appear. For example I just added a banner to one of my frames and the banner didn’t show up in my prototype until I refreshed the tab. I’ve also noticed it with smaller changes such as adding borders to elements, and the borders don’t appear. If this is a bug it could be affecting viewers of my prototypes too, who won’t always be seeing the latest version and won’t know it. Or there will be missing elements and the prototype will look broken to them. I use the desktop app so haven’t confirmed if this is a problem in the browser as well.

I’ve done all the tutorials in youtube or in Figma community, by deleting Figma folder in localapp or app data, but still can’t login

I’m new to figma and was looking to see if there was a video of how to use the kitchen UI Design tool. There are instructions but they aren’t very clear.

Hi everyone,I’m working on a backend pipeline that generates SVG files and I’d like to automate sending them into Figma—or at least programmatically editing existing SVG layers—without manual uploads. I’ve looked through the Figma REST API and Plugin API docs but haven’t found any endpoints for SVG import or direct layer manipulation. Is there a supported way to upload/import an SVG file into a Figma document via API? Can I modify existing SVG nodes or layers in a Figma file programmatically? I’ve considered the Plugin API, but it’s not suitable because it always requires opening the Figma interface and manually running the plugin. Does the Figma Enterprise plan offer any additional API capabilities or endpoints for SVG import/editing that aren’t available on lower tiers? Are there any SDKs, undocumented endpoints, or plugin-based workarounds you’d recommend? Any pointers to documentation, examples, or community plugins would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

why add colorStopsVar in fills represent variable reference， instead of boundVariables such as plugin api？

I'm working in someone else's file. They have a frame with an image fill set to "fit". The image is flush left to the frame. When I replace the image with a similar 1:1 photo it becomes centered in the frame. How do I reposition it?Video recording. 

Hey guys,I’ve always had this problem, but I figured that UI3 would solve this. For some weird reason, there is no COPY action when right clicking on a style, only CUT. Why in the world would I want to cut a style from a file rather than copy/paste it?

I have an alert component that has a different look depending on its width - at narrow it lays out vertically, and when wider it has a more horizontal layout. There are min- and max-widths setup so that the narrow version can’t go wider than 719, and the horizontal can’t go narrower than 720.What I want now is to build a frame to contain this alert component (which is set to fill container), that when stretched will automatically set the correct alert variant inside it. The vertical variant has a max-width of 719px, and the horizontal variant has a min-width of 720 - I want a frame that when stretched wider than 719 automatically switches to the other variant. I’m pretty sure I can do this with variables and modes but I’m not familiar enough with them to figure it out on my own - I would love it if someone has an example file, or anything similar, to point me to.

Hello, relatively new to Figma. Need some help with spacing. Not sure why my spacing is different between the first line (two grid squares for ref) and the second (one grid square for ref). I’m just looking for my text box to follow my line height when resizing the boundaries of it. Any help would be great, I’m sure it’s something simple I’m missing. Thank you

I need urgent support. I'm the creator of a paid Figma UI kit called Sublima UI, which took me over 2 years to design and develop with great care. Recently, a user posted a public comment with a link to a free copy of my UI kit — essentially pirating my product.The issue is: I can't delete the comment or block the user. The link is still public and might severely affect my sales. This is my main source of income, and seeing it shared like this for free is heartbreaking. If anyone here has experience dealing with this kind of situation — either through platform moderation, copyright enforcement, or how to get content taken down — please help me. This is a critical issue for me and my small independent business.

I have 4 full seats that we’ve been paying for.  3 need only dev mode access.  When trying to downgrade the users, it says I will be billed additionally for the 3 users I need to downgrade.  I don’t want additional 3 additional dev seats, I want 1 full and 3 dev.  How do I do this?  I keep getting prompted that each change will be an addition, not a change???

Hi there,Is there any solution to this, what seems like a persistent problem of component instances not updating properly when there’s a color change in the main component. I’m seeing a lot of issues people are having with this.My context is, I have an icon button component with a nested icon component. The properties for the icon button have a dark variant, where the icon color is changed to white. The problem is, when using an instance of the icon button and switching to a dark variant, the color of the icon (white) is not following, but is shown as original icon component color (black). I have updated my nested icon component so all of the icons are in a single component with proper layer names and structure with only one flattened vector layer as instructed in many of the comments. I am having issues with master component updates relaying to instances throughout my file. I have a master button component and when trying to update the height of the master, nothing is changing with my instances. I have tried to Repair Component Connections and Regenerate All Instances with no luck. I’m still pretty amateur in my Figma experience, so I could be missing something obvious. Any suggestions that save me creating a new master or just updating each individual button are appreciated. 

I have had access to the AI design tool for a long time now, but this morning when I logged on to create another project, the AI design tool has been removed. Can someone help me find it or get it back? I had an amazing idea for an app design but I can’t work on it since the Ai tools have somehow disappeared

I have a problem with the project from work — when I open the prototype on my phone or tablet, only a single page appears and I can’t swipe through anymore. I’ve tried restarting, but it didn’t help

Hi. I’m having an issue with issue with frames that are meant to expand or “hug content” when switching between variants of different sizes. I don’t know what technical issue is causing this probably but I was able to verify it is something happening with Figma itself, and not my prototype, auto layout settings, etc. This is happening across multiple different components and only started happening today - however reverting my file version back to when I knew the prototype was working correctly did not correct the issue. But a developer that had never signed into Figma before opened the most recent prototype (without any changes) and did not experience the issue. For these particular designs it seems almost like the drop shadow is expanding like it should but the frame itself just isn’t. I have tried changing my components both to hug content and to fixed width and height just to further confirm it wasn’t something I was doing, but neither changes the outcome on my end or the developer’

I’m in the Figma for Edu the latest updates from Figma i showed once on my desktop application and suddenly disappeared it’s normal

Our icon naming convention uses PascalCase with no spaces—names like UiMiscHeart. When I try to search for an icon from outside the icon library, keyword-based searches don’t work unless I enter the beginning of the component name exactly. For example, searching for “heart” won’t return UiMiscHeart, but “uimisch” will. However, when I search within the icon library’s source file, partial matches work as expected. This issue only occurs when searching from other files. Did fuzzy search used to work more reliably across files? I feel like it used to behave better.  

I used the COPY PNG feature a lot and paste it into a fill layer. This week that functionality broke down. Now if you try and COPY PNG and paste it will only do it for one layer and remove every other fill layer. In the past you could choose the fill layer so it would preserve backgrounds or any other fills. Seems like perhaps the latest update broke this feature? 

I’m experiencing an odd bug. Some components when a variant is swapped will not fully swap out colors. See images/example below.As you can see in the last screenshot here, the text is not fully changing color. The text color should be gray and not white. Please help 🙂

Hello, I have a large group of different shaped icons that I’d like to size using variables for Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.Is there a way to apply a 100% height value or set a fixed aspect ratio so I can control them via a single width variable? It would save me a lot of time.Thanks,Will

I created a hover button, my goal was when I click on the button, it should divide in three parts like retro style, I kinda achieved it, but the problem I faced was, when I previewed it, the button was kind of bouncing or dancing, I rechecked everything and everything was fine, can anyone tell me the solution.
