When using the Pen Tool in Figma to create vector paths, the blue preview line that usually appears between the last anchor point and the current cursor position sometimes disappears unexpectedly. This makes it difficult to see how the path will continue and disrupts the drawing process.Expected Behavior:The blue preview line should stay visible while drawing a path, showing the expected curve direction and helping guide the next point.Actual Behavior:The preview line disappears unexpectedly, making it hard to continue drawing accurately.

 Within the past couple of weeks, I’ve had two design files where portions have started breaking, for lack of a better term.As you zoom in on the affected sections of the design, it blows up into square grid pieces over and over, rendering it unusable. This behavior does not affect the entire file, only parts of it. Some portions look/behave fine when zoomed in, but the affected portions do not. I work with two designers, and this only happens with one of them (so far, at least). I’m on Windows 11, designers on Macs. Latest release of Figma for everyone.What is going on?!`What happens when I zoom into a design​​​ 

I’m very new to advanced prototyping and struggling with variables. I would like the Save button in a drawer to navigate to a different page based on a checkbox being checked or not. The checkbox is enabled based on a required field.This is the flow I’m looking to accomplish:If the Name field has been entered, a checkbox labeled Add another is enabled and the user clicks the checkbox, clicks Save, then the drawer updates with a new entry to be filled out. If the Name field has been entered, the checkbox is enabled and the user does not click the checkbox, clicks Save, then the drawer closes. ​​​​​​​If the Name field has been not been entered and the checkbox is disabled, then the user cannot click Save.Any help would be great. Here’s an example of something I used to do that worked, but doesn’t seem to be supported anymore:Topic / Format / ProjectDetailedName_Topic_FormatI have to use this general format for the client I’m handing off some social media posts to and usually when moving through the topics, it’s been easy to batch rename, but now the search seems to stop after it’s found one instance of a term in the title rather than changing all matches. Generally, if I want to only rename one of these, I can narrow it down by including “ Format” or “_Format” etc, so I’m just a little confused with the change.Is this intended or a bug?

Let’s say I have a hundred or so changes to publish (not uncommon for a days work). I publish, and the blue dot remains afterwards. I click on the library icon, and am informed that there are still a few dozen unpublished modifications. I can republish a million more times and those changes won’t go away. Everything successfully updated and files using the library don’t see anything amiss, but for whatever reason Figma thinks that some components remain modified despite nothing being done to them. The thing is, when I restart Figma and publish, it publishes cleanly – no more blue dot, nothing left to publish. However, as I start to make more changes, this problem just starts up again. My next publish, say, another hundred updates, leaves a new large handful with a “modified” status no matter how many times I publish. Is this a bug? What’s gives?

As part of our organisation roadmap, we need our organisation data to be backed up in our inhouse server at a regular interval. We are working to take the backup of Figma files along with respective projects. We have explored the Figma API documentation (https://www.figma.com/developers/api#get-files-endpoint), where we need to manually add the file key in the api (GET/v1/files/:key), which is not ideal solution and even after adding the key, we are getting response in json format, not the file. Could you please suggest a way how we can take incremental backup of Figma files along with respective projects? Is there any option available to Export/Download all of our Figma files?

Hello. I'm wondering how I can easily change the design system (colors and fonts) on a component that I copy from another figma project.For example: I have a figma document where I have all the components saved. Then I transfer this same component to another project. How can I now easily change the original design system of the component with the design system of the project to which I copied the component.I use local variables and not styles.What do I need to do to be able to use the design system of the current project on the component. The structure of the design systems is the same.

Hello. Does anyone know why, when I change the color of the icon in a variant of a button in the main component, this change only affects instances of the same variant that have the same icon, but not those with a different icon? I've tried several methods, but this issue keeps happening. Am I the only one experiencing this, or has it happened to someone else? Does anyone know of another way (other than switching the variant of the instance) to solve this? 

Hi everyone,I’ve seen a few posts about users accidentally adding more seats than they meant to — but that’s not what happened here.I was on a call with our admin, who shared their screen while adding 3 annual seats to our plan. However, after the process was completed, 6 seats were added instead. We’re both absolutely sure that only 3 seats were selected. Unfortunately, we didn’t record the screen at the time, but we’re confident this wasn’t a user error.Figma team — could you please look into this and help us resolve it?Has anyone else run into something similar?Thanks!

I have old components showing up in an updated and published library. These components have already been removed from the library. There are no instances of the component in the library. See the attached photo. The icons with the white background are old/removed. If I click on the icon with the white background and ‘go to main component’ it just brings me to the library but there’s no component in the library…

Hello community, I’ve just creted my first Figma design and I get an unexpected behavior on a component. I’ve created a card component to showcase company services. The card layout is the following: The “Scopri di più” button is an istance of another component and it’s set to revert its colors when hovered. Problem is: when hovering on the “Scopri di più” button, all istances of the button within the same component and its istances are reverting to the hover state. This is not happening for the instances of the same button OUTSIDE the card components. All interactions seems to be correctly set, so I can’t really understand how to solve. I’m pretty sure this topic was discussed a million times before, but every answer I came across so far kind if “dodged” the real issue… or at least not giving me what I need :) So, first of all, I’m new to Figma.To clarify my level of understanding:I understand what a master component is. I also understand what a component instance is. I know how to set and use component properties. I also know how to use place holders that you can set to “instance swap”, so you can replace these bits when you use an instance of a master component. I also understand nested components. With the above out of the way, let me explain my issue. I don't know what's going on with you lately, whether you're testing something or breaking it, but lately there have been a lot of bugs in figma, and some banal interactions just stupidly stop working (like smart angle changes, or blurring with smart animation, or some default options, like a banal state change in variants (without complex instructions in interactions they just break and don't work). What new things have you created that everything has gotten so much worse?

I’ve searched for information on this and it doesn’t seem to be very clear. We are an enterprise organization with several teams, but occasionally we work with third party contractors from other large orgs. Those contractors often have their own, paid, figma accounts and we invite them to work in our org. The problem I am having trouble understanding is why Figma seemingly wants that account to be paid on both orgs - I am not able to invite the paid account from another organization and have it suffice for editing in our org - it treats them like they need to pay on our org as well. Is this intended?

Hi!Two companies have merged and each team had their own figma accounts. Payment has been maintained for both accounts but we’d like to merge the organisations.The problem is that the admin for one account left the business and her email address was disabled before we realised she was the admin on the account so now we cannot get admin access to the one organisation but we still need those files.How do we get admin access to that account and then how do we merge the organisations?Thank you! 

Hi team!I have this following problem:I have Size which has options 1,2a offers 1a 2a 3a 4ab offers 1b 2b 3b 4bWhen i take out the component and look at variant 1 I should be able to see only 1a,2a,3a,4a. but i see 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a, 1b, 2b, 3b, 4b. If i click on 1b it switches me to b variant, naturally.So what gives? Am I doing something wrong here?

Hi! 🙂 I’m having the issue with a white line appearing around my SVG export, even though I have no sub pixels on any of the sizes (width/height, corner radius, box shadow, stroke…none) and all parts of my design is placed on the pixel grid, so no sub pixels there either. The issue only occurs on SVG export, not PNG. What could be the problem?? Thanks! Regards / M

While using figma for free we were able to collaborate with multiple people. Once We decided to buy some roles we lost access and others can only view rather than help. Is this normal? 

Does anyone else have the following problem?When annotations are visible on both dev and design mode, the Figma UI is laggier than when annotations are turned off where it’s more smoother? This is the case regardless if I have 5 or 20+ annotations on the screen.I have sufficient RAM on both the file and my laptop so it should be fine.

Hi guys,I’m working on making a design system right now, but I have some issues that I can’t figure out .I currently manage the brand through mode (green area in the pic), but there is a request that they want to limit user permission to see just the brand that they’re involved with, and they also don't want the designer to edit the main component.So I would like to ask Is it possible to just attach the brand file and then all the style changes without using mode (like the red area in the pic) ?  (still using the same component from the main design system)I have tried many ways, but still, it does not work.😫Thanks in advance
