Hey @malavika krishna

Just to make sure I understand correctly, when you say “archive file,” do you mean a draft file in Figma, or are you referring to something else?

To help narrow down what might be causing this, could you also share a bit more information?

  • Is this happening with one specific file, or with all archived/draft files?
  • Are the crashes happening in the browser, the desktop app, or both?
  • If you’re using the desktop app, could you let me know whether you’re on Windows or macOS, and if your app is fully up to date?

One thing that may help in the meantime is clearing the Figma desktop app cache:
https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/22380853110551-Clear-the-Figma-desktop-app-cache

You can also try working through the troubleshooting checklist here:

Once I have a bit more detail about your setup, I’ll be able to help further!

Hi @Gayani_S

I had mailed myself a 960 MB file and I am trying to import it in the figma desktop app in a mac laptop. The file reloads for a while and then crashes . The app is uptodate. Please refer to the video I have attached below
