Hi – I imported a PDF of an app design that I made in Adobe Photoshop into Figma using the Convertify plugin. The import went well, the PDF is indeed in Figma, but each PDF page only appears as an image. I need to create editable layers out of the images for any edits I need to make. Is there a way to do that simply or am I going to have to just rebuild the app in Figma from scratch? 

I’ve been playing around with Figma Make and it’s great so far. The only issue is that I am unable to bring my Figma Make output into a Figma Design file. I can only get so far with Figma Make, and I’d like to use the Figma editor to make final changes. Is there a way to do this?

This suddenly started about 24 hours ago and has not abated. See gif.Checking/unchecking scope boxes, adding/moving/removing variables, all of this suddenly has like 4 seconds of lag per action. It suddenly started, there was no slow onset. Everything was zippy until yesterday.I can’t work like this, the lag adds up when I’m working in here all day. Please advise. 

Hello! I’ve been noticing a surge of bugs with the latest release.Opening files within a project is not always responsive (Figma Home) Selecting a Project Folder from the sidebar has occasionally been non-responsive The back/forward navigation buttons are currently non-responsive (Figma Home) Keyboard shortcuts like CMD+scroll to zoom often get locked when not pressing cmd (not a keyboard issue – I’ve tested this with other keyboards)Figma sites-specific issues:Adding a “Block” only shows embedded html, audio, or videos – pages, navigation, heroes, and features are all hidden for an unknown reason, and only re-surfaces when I’ve force closed Figma, the project file, and re-opened it again. Prototype does not display proper fonts, even after confirming the font chosen is a Google Font and not custom. In my specific case, I use

The insert menu in Sites is empty apart from Embeds.There used to be starter blocks which were helpful for non design folk on the team to whip together wireframes. Are these coming back or is it a bug? For contextWere on the enterprise plan. Have tried existing and creting a new site file. Have tried in desktop and browser version of the app. 

This randomly just resolved but I lost an entire day of working time because I was stuck in the following loop:I reset my password so I could use the mobile app This logged me out of my session on browser, so I had to log back in Wouldn’t let me use google, so had to use password Used my new password, entered the authentication code texted via SMS to my phone Looked like it was logging me in but brought me to the Figma home page with the “login” link at top right I would then try that log in link, and it would try to use SSO or whatever the acronym is, and it wouldn’t accept my organization’s security key…. Rinse and repeat like 20 times today. Wrote to support, no one answered.

I am trying to change my account to a student account after switching from teacher to a student in an App Development bootcamp. I am having trouble finding a way to switch. When I try to verify, it tells me I am already verified when I click “Get verified”.

I am struggling with a modal with backdrop component that I am trying to make. The idea is that I have a component with auto frame set. Inside is an instance of a modal component. The modal component is set to auto layout and consists of 3 frames; a header, body, and footer. Within the body, I have an instance of a component called “slot” that is 5px tall.When I create an instance of the modal with backdrop component, and swap out the “slot” component with another one, the content of that new component gets cut off. Instead, I want the modal component to grow to fit the content. Below, I have pictured the component (not the instance but you get the idea). In the below component, I know I can just drag the modal taller but in the instance I can’t do that. How would I accomplish my task?  

I saw this topic but seems the most recent is still a year old. I tried everything mentioned yet when I’m in design mode and show presentation then copy the link and try it ina browser I;m not logged into, I sitll see the force account gate. I tried this on both desktop app and browser. No dice. Please advise.

Coming from Sketch sharing is pretty simple and straightforward but I got charged sharing from Figma and trying to avoid that again. Can I share any file as view only and not have to worry about getting charged? And in View only can they use the inspect view?

Previous highly conveinient way to resize an element into grid increments (multiple of 8 for instance), is to click and drag on the “W” and “H” of the dimension settings, while holding shift. This is not possible anymore?

When switch modes (‘desktop’ to ‘mobile’) all ‘link’ text resets to the default. Hi!I'm exploring the new features in Figma and I'm particularly interested in Figma Make. However, I've noticed that the results it generates are a bit generic. In fact, even with different prompts from different people, the outputs tend to be very similar. Is there any way to make Figma Make learn from my own projects, turning my explorations into applied patterns?Thank you!

I just downloaded Figma to learn UI UX design i wanted make grid but i can’t find it in my properties panel and I have watched others but they have it there already. Can someone help me ASAP please. 

HiContextI am currently trying to understand the detachment rate of our buttons and I’m using Figma analytics for that purpose. ProblemAt the moment when selecting the button component that was detached 4 times in the last 60 days, to see which variants where more detached, I only see that 1 variant was detached once. So there is a disconnect between the 4 button detaches and the 1 variant detached. — Image attachedHelpCan anyone help me understand what might be the issue causing this disconnect in the detachment number?Thank you

Haven’t found exactly this issue posted: I created a new component in my library, but Figma ignores it when publishing. In the design file it’s no different from any other component - and the component in question works as expected within the library file. But no matter how many times I alter it, Figma doesn’t seem to notice that it’s a component, so it doesn’t get published. I’ve even duplicated and renamed it…doesn’t matter. It’s like it doesn’t exist, so it’s not available in any other files using that library.

As title says: I’m using Figma to create a library of assets and stickers to use with Figjam, more suited for collaborative work.An issue I noticed is that the colors varies when imported into figjam. It’s like the colors have lost some saturation. It really looks like one of those conversions from RGB to CMYK.Inside Figma   Inside FigJam 

Hi guys,Figma didn’t really used to be like this, but now it feels very laggy and has a huge delay between the user’s action and the result. Even a simple drag has a huge delay, I attached a video, check the time distance between the mouse dragging and when the dragging actually occurs. It’s ridiculous. Is there a way to solve this? EDIT: the lag is not actually in the movement itself, it’s in SELECTING THE ELEMENT. If the element is selected, it moves nice and smooth while dragging, but after clicking an element it literally takes almost a second for it to get selected. I’m not sure how to show that in a video, but it’s insane how annoying this is becoming.Thank you :)

Some of my colleagues have the same issue. They are editors in a file. The libraries are enabled, everything seems to be set properly. Did you manage to find a solution?

Im working on a plugin which sends data back and forth using postMessage’s between UI components and the Figma API. Im essentially sending entire frames and their design elements. I’ve seen when I choose a design with many elements, that it’s running very slow and freezing up the UI until the work is done.How can I optimize this? Any and all inputs are greatly appreciated.  

In order to be able to use AI within my organisation, I’ll need to write a business case, however I’ll need to do a test with a smaller amount of users. I’ve been pouring over the settings and help docs and I can’t seem to find an option for maybe enabling AI for just a subset of users.Is that possible? I’m not seeing anything in the Workspace settings, but maybe that’s because I don’t have AI enabled (which I can’t enable yet due to security restrictions)?Thanks in advance!
