Hi Figma Support,

I'm experiencing an issue where the Figma desktop app fails to launch on my Windows machine. The app shows the Figma logo briefly then closes immediately.

System info:

  • OS: Windows 11 (Version 10.0.26200.8457)
  • GPU: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics
  • GPU Driver: 26.5.2 (released 12/05/2026)
  • Figma version: 126.4.10

Error from command line: The app crashes with repeated GPU process errors and the following fatal message: FATAL: GPU data manager – GPU process isn't usable. Goodbye.

When opening a file, the app shows: "We can't open this file because we're having trouble with WebGL."

Workaround I found: The app only launches when using these flags: --disable-gpu --disable-software-rasterizer --no-sandbox

However, even with these flags, WebGL is unavailable and design files cannot be opened.

This issue appeared suddenly — the app was working fine the day before without any changes on my end. I suspect a recent Figma update may have introduced a compatibility issue with AMD Radeon 780M drivers.

Please advise. Thank you.
