clear figma make chat context

I understand that you want to clear your Figma Make chat, but it looks like you’ve provided your Figma Site link. To manually clear your Figma Make chat context, you must be within a Figma Make file then do the following:

1. Click Settings in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. In the General tab, click Clear context at the bottom of the General section.

You cannot directly clear the AI chat context within an active Make or figma.site file, as the capability to disconnect or clear the prompt history is not natively built into the Make interface. As an alternative solution, you can try duplicating the file and starting over, or using specific sharing settings to hide the history.

As I mentioned in my initial message, when I go to settings that option isn’t available. What makes a Make file “active”? Does that mean it’s published?

Duplicating the entire file just to clear context (which is something I need to do every ~15 messages for effective context optimization) is not a viable solution.

I’d be happy to help clarify. Yes, an active Figma Make file is published. When you publish a Figma Make file, it creates a dedicated URL to share the functional prototype or web app on the public web, while keeping the AI chat history hidden. This may be why you don’t see the option to Clear context in your Settings.

Can you please confirm if you’re looking for Clear context in your Figma Make editor? I’m not able to Clear context on your behalf. While I can see your Site URL link, I’m not able to see what seems to be a screenshot that you attached in your original topic. 

Again, you’ll want to do the following within the Figma Make Editor:

1. Click Settings in the top-right corner of the screen.
2. In the General tab, click Clear context at the bottom of the General section.
