How do I generate a color palette or color swatches, selecting a needed frame with applied raw colors? 

Someone can explain this behavior of the frame? Why we see the whole rectangle?

It’s something tremendous. I can’t leave “Present mode” (not Prototype) and in order to do that I ask about it on the forum. People scold photoshop, but sorry I never experienced so primitive problems there. It’s a big shame for figma.

I created a file for work, there were my layouts. As a user, I was in a corporate team, and after leaving this team, my personal file disappeared, which was not inside the corporate Figma. I search for it by name, I search in the list of deleted, and it is nowhere. How can I restore access to it? I tried to return to the corporate team to find the file, but this did not give results, it simply does not exist. Although I remember its name exactly, I can not restore it. I once had a similar situation when a file disappeared after leaving corporate mail, but then I had a link to it and could go in, but now there is no link, and how can I restore access to it? I tried the option when I rejoined the team in Figma, but this did not give a result.

Hi,I have a professional plan with 5 seats and my team has several projects.I need to add an external user (that already has a seat in another team inside Figma, but not my team), just to strictly edit a specific project inside my team. I don’t want this user to have access to other projects inside my team.How can I do that?Thanks

Hi! I first had this problem today, with designs that previously published correctly: center-aligned frames are publishing as left-aligned divs. See example below showing (top to bottom) 1) Previewing page within Figma Sites, 2) Autolayout settings, 3) Published page as displayed in Chrome

Everything works fine on my end, but both of them had the same issue—one on a computer and the other on a phone. I'm building a component configuration where images use specific aspect ratios. By default, the aspect ratio is set to 3:2, and a Placeholder component inside the image enforces this ratio.To manage this, I created a variable called default-aspect-ratio and use it in the component's prop.Since I'm working in a multi-branded design system, different brands will use different aspect ratios.Is it possible to redefine the same default-aspect-ratio variable within each brand’s handoff file, so it overrides the original, without using modes or other mechanisms?Or is that a limitation of the system?

Hi all,Love the new figma Buzz feature.There two things I’m missing currently:I’m working with a CSV with variable fields - some contain content, some don’t. But when importing a csv sometimes the empty cells aren’t recognized and Buzz still adds content to it. If there are multiple empty cells; only the first one is left empty, the rest is left untouched. The other thing is this: I would like Buzz to remember which fields are linked to which column/row - now when i run into an error I have to reupload the csv file and link every field again. If I miss one and the import fails, I have to start all over again - allowing for a similar mistake again. Would be amazing if Buzz could recognize the column titles and remember these, spot differences. An extra feature request would be to be able to hide or show layers based on content in a cell: i.e. if the cell contents are /hide to hide the entire frame. This is a feature in the free Google Sheets Sync plugin, which is an amazing amazing free

Hi,I’m preparing specs in Figma Desktop (v125.4.9) for a Button component with 180 variants (sizes, states, colors, etc.).I remember being able to Alt-drag the component (on Mac) or use an "Insert all variants" option, which would instantly place all variant instances on the canvas.Now when I Alt-drag, it duplicates the entire component, not instances.Was this feature removed or moved?Is there any plugin or workaround to insert all variants at once?Manually placing 180 variants isn’t practical. Any tips appreciated!

Here’s the feedback content: When using a plugin API to retrieve the font size of text within an instance, the value obtained is 24 before selecting the text layer. However, after operating to select this text layer, using the same method to retrieve the font size yields 12. Could you please explain why this discrepancy occurs? This issue affects the consistency of font size data retrieved by plugins before and after layer selection, which may lead to unexpected behavior in plugin functionality. Your clarification or resolution would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi Figma Team,I encountered an issue where the Export button on the right corner is not functioning. When I hover over it, the cursor changes into a text cursor (I-beam) instead of the usual pointer, and clicking the button doesn't trigger any export action.This behavior is unexpected and is affecting my workflow. Hi! In design mode, when I select an object with a Move tool (V) and then click K to select a scale tool, scale factor input field is already in focus and I can quickly scale whatever, for example, by pressing K + ½ + Enter.How it works in Design mode after I selected with Move tool and clicked K onceHowever, when I tried the same in Draw mode, it didn’t work as a scale factor input field is not put in focus right after I click K button and thus I need to click K again to get this field focused.How it looks in Draw mode after I selected with Move tool and clicked K onceIs it supposed to work this way or is it a bug? Thank you in advance!Best regards,Kadir

When typing in Japanese and trying to go back to edit in the middle of a sentence, the cursor jumps to the end of the line. It’s frustrating because you have to delete the misplaced text and then manually return to where you were. The only workaround is typing the correction at the end, and then copy-pasting it back into place — which is a huge waste of time, especially when writing multiple comments.Ref: https://x.com/ken_tbdz/status/1790201098558407013Also, although I couldn't record it, there’s another bug where the whole text gets duplicated without line breaks. Again, this messes up formatting and forces you to spend extra time cleaning things up.I understand Japanese input might not be a priority, and maybe this only affects Japanese users — but please please please fix this. Hi everyone,I’ve been facing an issue with exporting images from Figma. When I export them, they appear in high resolution, but after downloading, the JPG or PNG file becomes long and stretched. The image also appears blurry when zoomed in. Even after uploading it to Behance, the issue persists with the image appearing stretched and blurry.However, when I open the same image in Photoshop, it appears clear. But when I export it again from Photoshop, the image reverts to being stretched and blurry.Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m teaching one of my UX classes online this summer, and since the class is asynchronous I made a Figjam board with some icebreaker exercises on it.I want to leave it open for a week, not 24 hours- and I definitely won’t remember to start an open session every 24 hours for a week.I don’t really want to invite students to join any of my projects, because I have between 30-200 students per semester and things get crazy quickly. Is there a way to give them edit access to a single Figjam file for a week? (I’m on an educational license. Most of the students will have created an educational account, but some folks always lag behind and haven’t done it by the first week of class.) 

Hello everyone, I’m having some issues with Figma Slides when trying to present both in presenter and audience view. In particular, the “smart animate” slides transition doesn’t work in the audience view but seems to work fine in the presenter view. I already tried to restart the presentation, open it in the app and on different browsers, I just can’t find a way to make it work. It’s driving me crazy, I’d 100% prefer to not view the smart animations in the presenter view rather than in the audience view.Do you have suggestions for solving this? It’s for my graduation presentation, I need to use 2 screens, one external for the audience view and my macbook screen for reading the notes in the presenter view:(

If you see the attachment, the annotations show up despte I am on Design mode. How can I turn them off? I clicked View menu and turned Annotations off, but they appear again when I logged again.
