Creating new style failed

Hi! Over the last few days, whenever I tried to create a new style, the style creation window would just close, but the new style wouldn't appear either on the element I was creating it for or in the side menu; however, after refreshing the page, it was there. Please let me know what's wrong and how to fix it.
