Hi I made an overlay but I want it to be inside another element, so I want to clip the content of the overlay so it fits the other element. Does anyone know if this is possible to do? Thanks

I have the new ASUS Zenbook Duo with two touchscreens and when I work with Figma I use the second display for the ASUS Control Panel shortcut keys. These are mapped to different functions in Figma, but most of them do not work (ex. Swap fill and Stroke [Shift + X]). The same problem with the Asus Quick Key App. Is this a problem with Figma? I tested these Quick Keys in other apps and they work. Thank you for your support!

Hello community! I need your help to understand if I’m taking the right approach to solve a problem. We have a UIKIT composed of: foundations (using styles, not variables yet), components, widgets (i.e., groups of components with functionality), and pages (i.e., groups of widgets). We have two design teams using it in parallel: Team A - Product: Updates the UIKIT regularly and provides Team B with new features. Team B - Internal Agency: Uses the “pages” of the UIKIT and modifies the foundations to resemble the customer’s brand. Currently, Team B forks the UIKIT to work locally, changing styles and so on, always in local. The problem is they lose all opportunities to receive product updates. The solution I propose is to have two kits: one for foundations, components, and widgets (Main) and a second for Pages. Why are some of my images and buttons (call-to-actions) no longer appearing in preview mode or when I try to export the design into PDF? While they are visible on the artboard itself when designing.

Hello community, I am new to Figma and I am trying to use the smart animate feature between two frames using the after delay trigger. The current animation effect is ease out for 2000ms with a delay of 500ms. I am moving an object from bottom of the frame to the top of the frame in this animation. I now want to move another object from bottom to the middle of the frame with a different animation effect (ease in and out for 4000ms). I want it to start along with the previous animation, i.e. with an after delay trigger set to 500ms. Can anyone help me out with the process or is this not possible currently? I have been able to achieve the first animation. But the second after delay does not trigger and the second animation is replacing the first if i reduce the delay timer.

Couldn’t reproduce with mouse. Thought it may be a hardware issue, so tested right click on other apps without issue. Seems to be strictly a Figma issue. I’m on a MacBook M3 using Sonoma 14.1.2

I used to be able to add interactions that open links and export that to PDF, it was wonderful because it allowed me to make pitch decks and marketing content and export and share that as PDF, but now I can’t and I’m very frustrated. Although Figma is made for UIs, as an amateur self-taught designer, I use Figma for all my design needs and it would be great to be able to do this again. I’m wondering if this is related to the premium membership or it’s just that the feature has been removed.

Right now I’m selecting layer or component > right click > Copy/Paste as > Copy Link to Selection. When I click on the link and view it in the Desktop app, it properly zooms in to the selection but when viewing it in the browser, it’s not zoomed into the selection. It’s zoomed out to the whole frame that the selected layer is in. Is this a bug? Anyone else experiencing this too?

Hello Community, I was wondering if it is possible to calculate numeric values within numeric variables. When creating a desing system i want to have a base layer of numeric tokens derived from the value of 1 REM equal to 16px number-100 (for the 100%) would then equal 16. If i want to achieve 8 px number-50 would be {number-100}*0.5. By doing this i only have to change the value of the number-100 to change the entire system. This has proven itself beneficial when working with the same components for a sub brand or a different client. Change the root in one value and let the logic do most of the rest. This works perfectly fine in Tokens studio and would also be a huge asset to the variables in Figma. Is this already possible? Please let me know in this case!

Whenever I try to export my frames to PDF, so many images export as purple placeholders. What is going on? I made sure all of the images are nested within the frames as well. Can someone please help.
