There are too many instances where the concept of a “Plugin” and a “Library” contradict one another.

If you search for “Icon” plugins, you get a list of 100 plugins, but with the exception of a handful of plugins that actually do something, they’re all actually content libraries and most of them are from one provider, Icon Duck.

This is pretty common for other similar elements as well.

There should be a distinction between what gives you access to ready-made elements and those that actually do something, editing existing content or generates new content from User input.

You need to give us a filter to reduce the sheer volume of plugins available. If I need content, that’s easy, but if I need tools to help me generate icons, that’s more important in my opinion, there are a billion free icon libraries out there and I don’t think for the most part they need to be a plugin. It’s the design equivalent to a meeting that should have been an email or a mobile app that should have been a mobile friendly website.

Hey @Eric_Lampi2, thanks for the feedback!

Our community team has worked with these creators in the past to ensure that their icon library or icon set plugins have an accurate description to prevent this type of confusion. But we’ll pass topic onto the team to consider for improvement in the future.
