Hi! I’ve created a dialog component in one Figma Make file and I want to use it in another file.What’s the best way to import or copy it over? Should I copy-paste it manually or is there a better way to reuse components across files in Figma Make?

I created a new Slides template, but I’m still only seeing the default stock slides in the “New slide” dropdown. I’m not sure how to remove those and add my own custom slide layouts.I’m also unclear on how to create or edit a template style, including setting custom colors and text styles. The deck defaults to the “Light Slides” style, but I don’t see any options to edit or add a new template style.I’m on a company plan and appear to have full access to Figma Slides.Any help appreciated.   

Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is doing good. Just used Figma make which is awsme. Do any one have idea about the limitation in Figma make prompt. Number of usage. 

Getting the “Publishing failed: Please reload the page to publish” error when I try to publish.I’ve gone through the older treads but haven’t found a solutions beside Figma sent out a fix. I’ve tried everything I can think of including the obvious solutions like reloading tab and restarting computer.I’ve tried deleting all new components and even restored earlier versions, from the version history panel, that were previously published. Yet still no luck. My other libraries will publish, but my main library will not. 🙄

There is a great feature in Notion called “close redirecting browser tabs” This is a setting that, when toggled on, automatically closes a browser tab when a page open in the desktop app. It would be great if Figma had this feature as well. When I click on Figma links, I end up with lots of browser tabs like this, because the pages open in the Figma desktop app. I would love if these tabs auto-closed.

Hello Figma Team,I am encountering a critical issue with the Figma Desktop application (Windows 11 ARM64).Since today's update, the application displays the error message: "Could not initialize WebGL".This problem is highly likely related to the GPU/driver detection in the latest version of the app. My Configuration:  OS: Windows 11 ARM64 Device: ASUS Vivobook S15 (Snapdragon X Elite) GPU: Qualcomm Adreno X1-85 GPU Adreno Driver Version: 31.0.121.1 (the latest installed via Windows Update).  Diagnostics and Steps Already Taken:  WebGL works perfectly when I use Figma in my browser (Chrome/Edge). The error occurs only on the Figma Desktop application. I attempted a clean reinstall of the Figma Desktop app (uninstalled, manually deleted GPUCache and Local Storage folders in %AppData% and %LocalAppData%) without success. Include a search bar in the Library analytics panel to rapidly select a component without having to scroll through the list of components.

There is no “change property” interaction. This is very basic. I see several conversations around this, but no direct feature request for this basic feature. Currently, you can ONLY change variant properties. But you should be able to change boolean property, text property, or instance swap.Most common use cases:Show/hide a layer on hover such as a tooltip or an interaction widget (currently requires workarounds with nested components or additional variants)  Change text on hover such as embedded help text Change an embedded instance on click for navigating between tabsA bonus interaction would be “change embedded variants”. You can currently only change the variant of the component itself, but it would be super useful to be able to target an embedded component and change its variant.

There have been many times where I’m trying to compare the color values between two or more objects. However, every time I select another object the color panel disappears so I have to click on the swatch again and try to remember the values from the previous object. Sometimes I’ll just take a screenshot of the color picker values and paste them back into Figma but that’s not fun at all. One possible solution would be to make the color picker remain visible if the user ‘unpins’ it (ie. drags it away from the right panel). Then they could select the next object to see the color values and then close the picker when they’re done.

I’m unable to publish changes to my library. I keep getting a message to reload the page to publish. After reloading, there’s a record that a component was indeed published; but there’s no updates available or any changes on the Figma files where I’m using this library. Any idea what I’m missing or is there an issue?

I can’t figure out how to take a whole file which contains a clickable prototype, and send it to Figma Make. I can only see how to do 3 frames max. When I paste the file link into Figma make, I then get prompted back to doing singular frames at a time

I’m working on a site and there’s a warning about an accessibility issue that we can’t solve. Other call outs lead to images without alt text or buttons set up incorrectly, but when we click on this one it highlights the entire Home page.Is this a bug? Or is there a way to add alt text to a complete screen? We didn’t see that option either. 

I was editting a page in Figma make and whej I asked it to “undo” something it undid all the work that I had input and sorted. Please help!

I am using extended collections and they are appearing, but at first I thought it was alphabetical, so I updated my naming to include the “Drug” but then the order they appear in the dropdown seems completely random. How does this work? And can we make it more structured?

Hi all,I’m very new to Figma/Make and I’m stuck with a duplication issue.I have a fairly large prototype file. When I try to Duplicate it, Figma hangs for a while and then shows the message “Duplicate failed” and no copy appears.What I’m seeing: File feels slow/laggy while editing. File → Duplicate → long wait → “Duplicate failed” → no new file. What I’ve tried: Reloading Figma and my browser (Chrome on macOS). Waiting for “All changes saved” before duplicating. Trying to duplicate just a single page / copy–pasting frames into a new file. As a beginner, I’m not sure if this is a file size/complexity limit, a Make bug, or something I’m doing wrong.What’s the best way to get a backup copy of this file when normal duplication fails?Any advice in simple terms would really help

Especially useful for components that have repeated elements, such as a dropdown menu or a group of form inputs, navigation. This would be much quicker than manually changing each of the elements in-between where the current element is and where the new position is. Or for users that don’t have patience and break… I can’t express how frustrating it is when a designer has to detach one of your components simply to add a tab in-between existing tabs or a dropdown option above existing ones. Absolutely love the ability to move items from one page to another. It would be a massive improvement if the items that are moved didn’t stack on top of one another, sometimes creating a mess of a pile. Certainly don’t expect it to be organized, but not stacking would be a massive improvement.Thank you for all the work!

It’s not a major issue, but as a designer, alignment and spacing really matter, so I thought it would be good to check if this was intentional or something that needs fixing.1. Left Sidebar PaddingMost items in the left sidebar use around 12px padding, but the “Running out of plan” section seems to have about 23px padding. The plan details below it also use the same 23px spacing, which feels different from the rest of the menu.2. Community Page HeaderOn the Community page, the left padding near the back arrow and page title looks like 28px. But the search bar on the right has around 46px padding.Also, the tags below (like “Saved”, “Design Resources”) have around 45px left padding, which doesn’t align visually with the elements above.I have attached the image for your reference as well.Could you please let me know if these spacing differences are intentional? Olá!Estou com um problema. Sou devidamente matriculada no ensino superior, bacharelado em Sistemas de Informação, e tenho uma verificação de estudante feita com sucesso. Por meio dela, acessava as funcionalidades do Figma.Porém, estou recebendo a mensagem de que o meu status de educação foi expirado:  Quando eu tento atualizar a minha verificação de estudante, recebo uma mensagem de que o Limite de verificações foi excedido e que eu já resgatei essa oferta. Porém, o meu curso vai até 2027 (as declarações de matrícula são renovadas a cada semestre). Agora estou bloqueada e só tenho acesso às features básicas do Figma. Como posso fazer para recuperar meu acesso? Meu palpite é que o sistema tenha entendido que o meu curso foi finalizado e por isso não esteja deixando eu renovar minha verificação, mas isto não é verdade.
