Agents Panel open every time I create a new Design File

HI ​@Chris Ernt 👋 Thanks so much for taking the time to share this, and for being direct about what is and isn't working for you. 

To your questions:

• There isn't currently a setting to choose which tab (File or Assets) opens by default when you create a new Design file
• And there isn't currently a way for an individual user to hide or remove the Agents button from the left navigation bar

I've passed both requests along so the team sees them. I'm not able to share any timelines on if or when either might change, but I wanted you to know your feedback landed with a real person and is being routed to the right folks.

I would like to make one addition to the above, a similar pattern happens when I create a new FigJam document that is equally annoying.

I understand there are various business pressures pushing your team to confront users with these AI features but it is a ham-handed (and ultimately futile) way to drive adoption. I don’t think adding a “dismiss forever” or “never show me this again” switch is too much to ask.

I’m also looking for a way to get this done, like you said in your reply to ​@Jaycee Lewis , adding a disable toggle or “never show me this again” toggle, is not a big ask and it is EXTREMELY frustrating that every time I make a new design file, I need to click out of the AI Agents tab - which I never use and don’t want to use either.

All this is doing, is adding another layer of friction to an app and will result in more and more people finding workarounds to disable features they don’t want and the Figma team will end up playing a game of whack-a-mole to try and either adopt or dismiss the custom modding

Just coming to add to this - I find it insulting that this is the first default option. An option to customise which tab opens first is a good compromise, but AI shouldn’t be the default. You are professional design software - be better.
