I’m animating a frame in Figma Motion and I’m experiencing a rendering issue with shapes that have reduced opacity.Whenever I use a shape with any level of transparency/low opacity, Figma Motion Preview shows the content that was originally there at first (the beginning of the motion).Even if I move those elements outside the frame or place them behind/in different layer positions, they still become visible through the transparent shape. What’s strange is that this does not happen on the regular Figma canvas. The design looks correct there, but the issue appears when viewing the animation in Figma Motion Preview.

I realise some people will laugh at me for this post, that’s ok, I still love you and hope you have a great day :) Hi Figma team, I make a habit of thanking my AI for doing a good job as I’m sure many people do. It’s a natural and good part of being human to express gratitude. It’s also increasingly important that we continue to say thank you as more of our interactions with actual humans are by text and chat only. The way we treat AI can impact the way we treat people.I was wondering if you could please set something up with the AI in Figma so that we aren’t penalised for saying thank you. For example, Agent just did a good job for me, I said “Great job, thank you”, and it cost me 6 credits. We all know Figma credits are expensive and several thank you’s a day add up.How about a rule that detects if the message is under say 50 characters and it includes - thank you, thankyou, thanks, good job, great job, appreciate (etc) - it gets a free pass? It’s flagged as a thank you message and n

I have a published library and I do not get the “Export to Figma Make” Button on a Professional Plan. I have tried all the options -- ensured there were no issues with my library. I addition I have restarted both Figma and my computer. I see other people have had similar issues. Not sure why I cannot get this option.

I design many Figma stuff in Japanese language, and Alt + Tilde on Windows is the shortcut for switching between Japanese input and Latin input. However, recent Figma update incorporated Alt + Tilde as a toggle between Draw mode and Design mode which is really annoying. When I want to switch input methods, the mode switch also escapes the typing field and disrupt the workflow. Please provide a fix on this.

Guys, you make AI features but are not able to implement proper PDF export optimization. I made a simple slide with NO graphics. Only text, boxes/containers and one vector icon.It has 3MB after exporting to PDF! This is insane. How am I suppose to share a PDF slide deck to anyone that weights 200MB?

Last few days, I’ve noticed when I’m working on one of my design frames in the section and open a chat on the frame to do some hideous work; unfortunatelly it doesn’t operate properly if I add a reference screenshot. It tells me that it cannot see the reference image. When I run the same prompt outside of the canvas it works.  Anybody having the same issue?

We have a graphic with 2 frames that are using the glass effect.  (see screenshot: original).  ~ when it is selected and dragged / copied, it duplicates fine (see A)~ when it is copy / pasted within the figma design or between two separate figma designs, the glass effect opacity is lost. (see B) hoping there is an easy solution that i can’t find…..thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I applied for the Figma for Education plan over a week ago, selecting the "Higher Education" option, but I haven't received any confirmation email or update yet (I have already checked my spam/promotions folder).I am currently enrolled as a medical student at the University of Pisa (Italy). Could a moderator or someone from the support team help me check the status of my verification via SheerID?Thank you in advance for your help!

When adding components to a Slot and attempting to surface nested properties I see a message that nested properties can not be surfaced with Slots. This severly limits their usefulness to us since we are creating multiple composable components using sub components with properties and having to drill in to each instance in a multi-item Slot is very time-consuming.

Can you change my username to Deluko or DelukoMedia on this forum? I would like to avoid my full name, have no idea how it was added, and can’t seem to change it.Thank you.

I want to request a refund from one of the FULL seats in my account and I want to have my full seat become a dev seat only

I’m working with a team on a large project, and we have a complex file structure. Removing the file previews has made it much harder to navigate our file system. Each group of files has its own color; previously, you could just glance at the main screen and understand where to go or see the file name in the preview. With only the folder icon and name, it’s much harder to remember where something is located. Please give us the option to revert to the previous interface with clear file previews.

Hello,I am looking to create a good hero section for my site, where it should take the height of browser in the first fold. The subsequent sections can be of fixed heights based on content. I need something like 100vh to have for my hero section.

Hello Figma Support Team,I hope this message finds you well.I am writing to follow up on my application for the Figma for Education plan as an educator/teacher. I submitted my verification request more than 3 months ago, but unfortunately, I have not received any response or update regarding the approval status. As an instructor, I urgently need access to the education features to prepare and manage design materials, projects, and collaborate effectively. Could you please review my pending application or let me know if any additional documents (like institutional ID or official employment letter) are required to expedite the verification process?Account Email: [Redacted by moderator - 2026/06/12]School/Institution Name: مدرسة الثانوية التجارية الجديدة بالزقازيقThank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your prompt reply.Best regards,Rania Ahmed

I need to get my education plan re-verified, but my first document submission has now been waiting for more than 2 days without any update.Submission timeline:September 26 at 9:26 PM GMT+7 - First document submitted. September 29 at 11:54 AM GMT+7 - Second document submitted. September 29 at 12:12 PM GMT+7 - Third document submitted. After the first submission, I received this message:“Your document was uploaded successfully and is being reviewed. Review usually takes half an hour, but can take up to 2 days during busy times. You can wait here or close this page. We’ll email you when the review is complete.”It has now been over 2 days since the first document was submitted, and I still have not received a review result or any email. I have also checked my other email folders, including spam and junk, so this does not appear to be an issue with the notification being filtered.I submitted the second and third documents today because I was concerned that something may have gone wrong with

Hi everyone,I'm having trouble reverifying my Figma Education status and hoping to get advice or assistance from support/community members who have faced a similar issue.I submitted the required documentation to confirm my current enrollment, but my application was rejected, and I have now reached the maximum number of automated submission attempts via SheerID.Documents Submitted:School ID: Provided (note: my university does not print expiration dates on physical IDs, which SheerID lists as an unacceptable standalone document).Certificate of Registration: Submitted for the current semester showing my active student status, full name, and institution details.Tuition Receipt: Submitted to show proof of payment and current term enrollment.Despite providing official documents showing my active enrollment for this term, the automated system flags the attempt as insufficient or expired, likely due to the lack of an expiration date on the ID card itself.

I’ve been repeatedly trying to verify and renew my Figma education status but Sheer ID keeps saying they were unable to verify me. I’ve tried doing so on different networks as well and it still doesn’t work. I urgently need to use Figma and my plan expires in 2 days. I’d really appreciate some urgent help.

If I> select a few frames> create a new export> then deselect the frames> then reselect the frames> the export build is wiped out and I need to start over:Please restore previous behavior that remembers export build

It’s quite useful to have the option to put the inside stroke as included or excluded as part of auto layout. That said, almost every web project I’ve worked on in the past 10 years starts with a global CSS rule of * { box-sizing: border-box; } … which effectively translates to every single auto-layout object needing “Inside stroke: excluded”.The option to set this as a default (as globally as you’d like: User, Team, Project, or File) would be a huge time saver. Along with “Canvas stacking,” I am constantly updating this as I create new elements - the only workaround for now is to always duplicate an existing item to inherit the previous setting.

Step 1: I give prototype sharing as “Anyone” for a Figma file and the user is able to access it without logging into any account of FigmaStep 2: I go to the “Editor” mode and restrict it as shown in the screenshot below.Step 3: I try the earlier prototype link and I could still access it even though I am not invited to that file. Step 4: I go to Prototype view and edit the permission to restrict the access for invitees only and then the restriction is applied Why is that the restriction applied from Editor mode for the same file NOT reflected for Prototype? Shouldn’t it be cascaded? What is the rule here?

Hello Figma,I use Figma Motion because it’s easy to make a basic motion without export many files. For the context, i make a 20 seconds timer with animation at the beggining and the end of animation. The start and end animations each last 1 second with 0.5 seconds of blank before or after. But i have a mysterious problem, i would like export to GIF because it’s the only format who accept transparent background. But when i export a 30 seconds motion in GIF ( 1080p / 30fps / x1 / Loop doesn’t matter ) , the GIF last 28 seconds. And when i see the GIF, i see my timer of 20 seconds is 2 seconds shorter like it’s more speedy than the timeline show.I test with MP4 ou WEBM, exports last well 30 seconds. And the antoher GIFs i made with Figma Motion are shorter than MP4 or WEBM export. ( Timeline show 13 secondes, but the export takes 11 seconds. )Can you fix this problem ? Thank you !( If I could make a suggestion, it would be to be able to create a key image for text editing, because doing 13 laye

Hi Figma Support,I’d like to ask if it’s possible to transfer an existing annual seat to a user who is currently assigned a monthly seat, without incurring an additional charge. Our current setup is: Person A: Annual seat Person B: Annual seat Person C: Monthly seat Total: 3 seats We would like to remove Person B from our Figma subscription entirely by November 5, 2026, before the next monthly billing. Instead of releasing Person B’s annual seat, we’d like to transfer that existing annual seat to Person C, who is currently on a monthly seat. Our intended setup would therefore be: Person A: Annual seat Person B: Removed Person C: Annual seat Total: 2 annual seats Since Person B will be removed from the subscription and Person C is already an existing monthly seat, we’d like to ask if Figma can reassign Person B’s existing annual seat to Person C without charging us for an additional seat or requiring us to purchase another annual seat. Our annual subscription renewed on Septemb

I’m experiencing a serious issue that appears to affect only one specific Figma Design file. The file still opens, but its internal state/UI appears to be broken.Current symptoms:Some elements/content disappeared. The normal Layers/folder structure is missing or displayed incorrectly. When selecting elements, some normal position/coordinate information and properties are unavailable. Figma AI Agent no longer works correctly in this file. Restarting Figma and restarting my Mac does not fix the issue. Another member of my team opened the same original file and sees the same problems. The most important diagnostic detail:If I duplicate this exact file, the duplicated version works normally. The problem exists only in the original file. The issue has now become even more serious: I can no longer share the affected original file with anyone. I’m unable to grant access to another person or to the Figma Support email address.I already created an official Figma Support case: #2159948.I initially
