when looking at a project/folder of files in Figma it’d be awesome if there was a local search/find/filter to narrow down the list of files in this project/folder (not a global search) by typing a few characters. Today ⌘f does not start a global search so maybe that keyboard shortcut could be used for this? another idea: when you start a global search while looking at a project/folder, automatically apply the `in:` filter for the project/folder you're currently viewing Why: I know a file exists in this project/folder I’m currently looking at but it might be buried really deep (if filtered by “Last modified”, which is the default sort option) and global search may not find it immediately (since it only lists the top 5 file results and then you need to the “see all results”). The currently viewed project/folder does not seem to influence/prioritize the search. There was a similar idea shared as a comment by Miguel Solorio to borrow GitHub’s “in this repo” filter during a global search.
I have a brand font installed but it’s not rendering any punctuation correctly e.g. “ ? ! & all become generic and off-brand. They’re very distinctive and look obviously wrong but the font is fine in Adobe. How can I continue to use Figma for design and solve this issue, I don’t want to move into Adobe, it’s going to slow my process down SO much and I’ve invested so much time into building out my design system. Thanks!
I received an email last week saying I needed to renew my Educators plan and that some information was required, I sent everything and was automatically approved. The problem is I still have my files on view only mode and cant edit anything (even if it allows me to ask for editing permissions to the owner -which is myself and can’t give permissions to myself.-) Help please!
I love the radial repeat tool! Please consider including this feature in the Figma Design interface, it is a disjointed experience to have to switch to Draw to access this specific feature. Thank you.
I’ve been designing data tables using components and variants. My setup is as such: Cell component is nested in a Row component, Row component is nested in a Table Component. Cell component has a text property and 2 variants for mobile/desktop. Row component has 2 variants for mobile/desktop. When I change the row component to the “desktop” variant, which also switches the Cell component to its “desktop” variant, the text property gets reset by to its default, and I have to key in all the Cell text again. Is there any way to avoid this? Thanks!
The color picker at the top-right of the Highlighter menu doesn’t appear to work. Clicking on it doesn’t open the color palette. Works with the pencil tool.
I'm thinking about building my portfolio using Figma Sites, but before I start, I wanted to ask: does Figma allow you to password-protect specific pages or projects? I’d like to make some sections private or only accessible to certain people.
Hey team. I hope you are doing well. I'm testing Figma Buzz and having a hard time to zoom to the real size (Zoom to 100%) similar we do on Figma Design. When I try to zoom it to 100% it works same as the Zoom to Fit. Can you help me on that? Doug Lazarini Figma Desktop App version 125.4.9 Figma Buzz
The annotations feature is nice, but it’s pretty frustrating that you’ve chosen to only allow editors and developers access to them. I frequently have a need to share annotations with other stakeholders (developers, support, other product managers and designers). By implementing them in the way you have, you’ve excluded product managers with view access from seeing my annotations. Most of the PMs I work with only have viewer licences which means they are unable to see them. My alternatives are that I use Comments instead of Annotations (which is a misuse of Comments for developer and interaction notes IMO) or I spin my own and make components of them. Please make annotations visible to all users; not just editors and developers.
My original post Some of my icons are displaying unexpected holes in circular areas where there shouldn't be any (see attached images). The issue seems to occur when strokes overlap and create negative space, possibly due to how the stroke is being rendered or interpreted. I'm aiming to keep everything within a single vector and maintain consistent stroke width throughout. Expected Behavior: Icons should render as solid shapes with no gaps or holes, as shown in the final image. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Desired look of the vector icon
I’m trying to register a Figma account using the email address yuqing.li01@liulishuo.com, but during the registration process, I received an error indicating that the email was disabled. However, this email address is currently active and in regular use. I'd really like to use it to create my Figma account. Could you please help me reset the registration status associated with this email so I can complete the sign-up process successfully? For reference, I found this community thread describing the same issue: https://forum.figma.com/ask-the-community-7/do-not-receive-verification-email-21591 I would really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot for your support!
I’m working on a link component where I want the icon to follow the text. Does anyone know of a solution for this? See images below Any help or suggestions are welcome, even hacky solutions :) Not working as wished Desired solution
Hello, I created a figma account years ago at a hackaton, and joined an impromptu team. Fast forward 3 years and I created a new figma design. Unbeknownst to me, I was still part of this team. Two days ago, I removed myself from the team so I could start a new team and share the file with someone else. However, when I went to share the file and move it, it said I didn’t own the file that I created and that I couldn’t move it from another user’s drafts. How do I resolve this? I opened a support ticket, but they haven’t been much help.
