[LAUNCHED] Figma Sites - Redirect for missing www. in address and the SSL

Agilis

I have published 3 sites now using Figma sites.  They are all active and accessible...with one major problem…

If the user types the name of the site without the www. in front (say they type site.com and hit enter)… there is no redirect automatically enabled and the user gets an “unsecure site” error message.

I believe this should be covered automatically by Figma and the automatic SSL… but until such time, I’m wondering if there are DNS settings I need to add to cover this issue.

Thanks,

Hello @Ahsan Khurshid @Agilis! Just wanted to tag and let you know that this has now been implemented 😄

Take a look at the announcement here:

Thank you for your earlier patience, and please let me know if you run into any problems as you incorporate these domains into your designs.

Hey @Agilis - you’re correct. At this time, we don’t support Apex domains, but we are actively working on it :D

Thank you for hanging in there in the meantime!

@ksn, I am facing the same issue. Can you share an alternative way out to resolve this? I am using domain from Hostinger.

@Ahsan Khurshid At this moment, there is no alternative I can suggest. Figma Sites is still in beta, so there’s a bunch of things we need to keep working on (support for this being one of them).

I’d recommend you keep tabs on our release notes here. You’ll get updates on the newest features there, but we’ll also make sure to make announcements here as well.
