Download code button in figma make is giving a blank zip file, title of project is “project” and has no slashes or periods.
Hi
I took a look on the backend, and it looks like you’re connected with our technical quality support team on ticket #1364259. Please continue working with them directly via email for help with Figma Make.
Hi, I have the same issue. Any fixes for this?
Hey Julius, I am working closely with Denise, happy to help!
I see in the backend that we are still waiting for a response from
In the meantime, it might be helpful to try these steps first (they've worked well for some users):
- Retry the download: The ZIP file may not have downloaded properly the first time. Try downloading it again from Figma Make to see if that resolves it.
- Use a different extraction tool: If the ZIP file seems to be blank or won’t open, try extracting it with another extraction tool or software (like 7-Zip, WinRAR, or macOS Archive Utility). For some users, this temporary solution can be helpful.
- Check your internet connection: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection during the download process, as interruptions can lead to incomplete files.
If the issue still persists, please reach out directly to the support team here: Submit a bug report
Make sure to use your Figma email address, and in the form, describe the steps you’ve already taken. If possible, attach the ZIP file so the team can try extracting it on their end. Thanks!
fix it pls
Thanks for the answer, but this does not fix it. It is not a problem with the extraction tool, internet or anyhing related. It has to be a Figma error.
And the weird thing is it used to work initially before i answered to this thread but now it is not working, and it does not matter which Make file as well.
And do I really need to open a ticket, when this seems to be a general problem?
Thanks for the follow-up, and I totally hear you!
The steps I shared earlier have been helpful for some users facing similar issues, but since they didn’t resolve it in your case, it would be great to have our support team take a closer look at your specific situation.
If you're open to it, I’d recommend submitting a quick bug report using this form: Submit a bug report. Just be sure to use your Figma email address and include the details of what you’ve already tried, along with the ZIP file if possible. This helps the team investigate more effectively.
On our side, we’re still waiting to hear back from @ProfessionalFrog so the technical quality team can continue their investigation. I’ll keep this thread updated as soon as we have more to share. Thank you!
