I’ve added a video to my Figma sites file, but when I play the site, the video doesn’t work. Can you help me with this issue?
Hello everyone, I've been using Figma at work for over a year, and there are some things I still don't really get or use it better to get the most out of it. Maybe it's my fault for not paying enough attention to all the tutorial videos, but I don't really understand the idea of 'anchoring' an element in your frame based on size changes, making sure that the element stays in the same place. It would be really helpful to know the distance from the constraints I've set. For example, I have a 4K frame (3840 x 2160) and I want to put a small logo in the bottom-right corner. In the 'Position' box, the numbers 'X' and 'Y' will be based on the pixels that the element is lined up with. This is OK, but if I want to line them up based on a specific margin, like 20 pixels from the bottom, I want to be able to see that based on the settings I have set for the element, for example the right and bottom constraints. I'm sorry if this is just because I'm new to using Figma, but I'd really like to know
Hi Figma team, I’d love to suggest two features that would significantly improve the workflow for many users: 1. **Native Table Tool** It would be amazing to have a built-in table creation tool. Currently, tables require a mix of auto layout frames or third-party plugins, which is time-consuming. A native solution with support for cell editing, column/row controls, and table styles would be incredibly helpful. 2. **Partial Image Transparency** It would also be great to have a tool that allows making only a part of an image transparent—like a transparency brush or eraser tool. Right now, achieving this effect requires complex masking or external editing. Thank you for building such a powerful platform! Best regards, Olha Shevchuk
Hi Figma Team! I had been using my figma account on company's email with student subscription. Now that I have lost that account as the account is deleted or deactivated, I want it to transfer to another account so that I an get emails and details about subscription. Please transfer the account or files also if possible to the new one [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII] Previous account with student subscription: [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII]
Hi Figma Team, I absolutely love using Figjam for brainstorming, User journey mapping and creating User flow diagrams—it’s an essential part of my design workflow. However, I often find myself switching back to Figma just to check spacing and alignment when I want to ensure everything is precise. It would be incredibly helpful to have a space checker or spacing measurement tool available in Figjam as well. This would allow designers like me to quickly verify distances between elements without leaving the Figjam. It’s a small addition that would go a long way in helping us design more confidently and keep things pixel-perfect—especially during early-stage design discussions and low-fidelity mockups.
In today's competitive tech landscape, businesses looking to hire AI developers need to navigate a complex talent market. Finding skilled professionals who can transform your AI vision into reality requires strategic planning and a clear understanding of your project requirements. The decision to hire AI developers is increasingly becoming a critical business move as artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries across the globe. Understanding the AI Developer Landscape AI development encompasses various specializations including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning. Before beginning your search, determine which specific AI skills your project demands. Different AI applications require different expertise - a chatbot developer has a different skill set than a computer vision specialist. Essential Skills to Look For When evaluating candidates, consider these core competencies: Strong programming foundations in languages like Python,
Hello :) I'm working on a software prototype to kinda simulate a Google Chrome (or any Webbrowser) tabbing system with some add. extras. The crucial bit is:- Opening tabs.- Closing tabs.- When opening a tab, it should add it to the top (eg. like google chrome does with new tabs).- When closing a tab, the other open tabs should move all to the left (so there is no empty tab space)(eg. also like google chrome).- Each tab is a different page with subpages and menus.- Within a tab, you can open/close further tabs within. (So it's kinda like a second level tab navigation). This might be a figma overkill (especially the secondary tab level, open/close history), but worth a shot if anyone ever has tried something similar. I guess nested components of each tab is a good start? I've successfully simulated it with loveable, but need a figma prototype now. Thanks a lot in advance :)
Hi! I’d like to ask how to implement multi-page PDF export in JavaScript. I'm building a custom plugin to integrate with a DAM portal. I’ve already implemented PDF export for a single selected slide, and that works fine. However, I’m struggling to figure out how to implement functionality similar to Figma’s native PDF export — specifically the option where each selected frame (slide) is exported as a separate page in a single PDF. I can’t rely on third-party plugins and want to build this logic myself. I’d really appreciate any ideas or pointers on how to structure the code so that each slide is added as a separate page in the resulting PDF. Thanks in advance!
So I tried to update my resume in figma (why not, if everything is in figma) and I have 2 page 1080X1398 simple text and nothing no image, or any kind of graphic and the file size is 3.5MB. I had a pdf resume with just 90KB file size. is there a way I can reduce the file size problem is there is no PDF compressor tools working, hardly reduce 30-40% of file size not more than that.
I’d like to be able to choose a thumbnail (either a frame from the video, or upload a thumbnail) for an object that has Video fill. Currently Figma uses the first frame of the video as the thumbnail, and if that video starts all black, then the thumbnail is just black. It will show fine in prototype view or mirror once the video starts playing, but when you are editing it would be helpful to see a frame of the actual video so you can adjust properties of elements (e.g. colors, opacities, gradients) and see what they’ll look like composited with video.
We have a problem with updating components. We have published the updates, but they are not arriving in the file where the instance is located. What can we do? They are not hidden with a point.
Good morning everyone Please I have been dealing with this prototype issues and every video I watch doesn't address the issue. Lately my prototype keep showing up of the screen,it doesn't display in the full selected phone frame,I have tried my best to solve it but it not working.. Pease I need help on how to fix it,so I can be able to view my prototype in the full screen of the selected phone/frame size . Thank you very much
I understand it’s Pride Month, but this feels a bit too on-the-nose. I can’t find a setting to turn it off.
First of all, thank you to the Figma team for introducing the new annotation feature, it's incredibly helpful for collaboration. However, I’ve noticed an issue: “The annotations are always fixed in one position on the frame or element and cannot be moved or repositioned freely.” This becomes a problem when the annotation covers up important UI elements or text that I need to view or edit. It would be great if annotations could float along the edge of the screen, or have options like "dock to edge" or "auto reposition" to avoid overlapping key design content. Making annotations more flexible in positioning would greatly improve usability without sacrificing their core purpose. Thanks for listening, and I hope the team considers this improvement! 💡
