How to get the non-www version of my site to go to my Figma Site?

I just setup my first site in figma sites. I’m using godaddy for registrar and DNS.

www.site_name.com works perfectly
https://site_name.com does not direct to the figma site

How do I set things up so that both the www and not-www point to figma?

Hey All, thank you for your patience!

Just an update for you both - Figma Sites now supports apex domains and custom subdomains, so you now have more options for personalizing your URL.

  • Apex domain: Connect root domains (like example.com) to your Figma Site, with optional redirects between apex domains and www subdomains.
  • Custom subdomain: Personalize your URL like yourname.figma.site and make it easier to integrate with any existing domains.

Same problem.

If i try to use https:// link it gives me DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error.

Hey All, thanks for reaching out!

Right now, Figma Sites does not support apex domains, but the team is already actively working on it.

As a workaround, you can add a redirect (from non-www to www). Depending on where your domain is hosted, some will offer redirects or the ability to create a custom configuration.
