Fixed(stay in place) doesn’t sometime work in Figma Beta. Battled with it for a few mins, then it worked after i opened same file in figma web
I have a component for a quote box with two variables (large and small). The quote text box has a text property applied (so that if I change the copy, it stays the same when I switch between variants). I did have the text in the large one set to a larger text style than the small one. But now, when I try to edit the text, it changes the text styles in both versions to match. I want to be able to have the text that is in them linked, but not the text style. This has been an issue since the latest update.
Hello! We have been having memory trouble with our Library file and have been working on making it more usable. In the process of doing this I did a test where I duplicated my library, and then proceeded to erase everything from it, every page, every style, every variable, every linked library. At the end the only thing left was 1 empty new page that I had created. After a refresh, the file was still showing 26% of memory usage and over 75k layers. I’m really unsure of what to make of that, over a half of the memory usage of my file is coming from… Nothing? Is this a known bug?
I feel robbed!! Their new pricing model it’s like robbery! They have designed it to skim us all. I have paying double almost every month since a few month ago because I unintentionally changed the seat or approved a request, and now I need to pay the full month and it’s irreversible. Just because I click on a button now I need to pay $20. This is a bad karma Figma!! THIS IS GREEDY!!
Better organization of content in submenus in the design area. Sometimes I use the slot method to compensate for missing options and possibilities in Figma. Here is an example: “Edit instance swap property”. I have about 20 favorite objects. But they are not organized in the window. Neither thematically nor alphabetically. So I have to do this manually. An autoscroll function is missing here. This means selecting several objects, moving them up or down and using auto-scroll to move them to the desired position. The “preferred values” are also not passed on. So if I have prepared a slot with preferred values and copy it, for example, 8 times (for 8 slots), these preferred values are not included. “Refresh” in the context menu of a warehouse (slot). Right-click to open the context menu and select “Swap instance”. All “preferred values” are not in the previously manually created order. That means all the work again, for each slot 🙈 Thanks

Hello, I have an issue with missing and inaccessible files in my account [email redacted by moderator]. A file named "дизайн бюро" disappeared from my Drafts. Yesterday I worked on it, and today it is gone. I did not delete it myself, and I cannot find it in Recents, Deleted, or any other workspace. Some other files in my account do not open and show a 404 Not Found error (I attached a screenshot). I confirm that that’s not team projects! We are transferring design token names to variables in Figma. Token names are by necessity quite long (they cannot be shortened without losing meaning). Examples: dimension-action-padding-vertical-with-label-l dimension-action-padding-horizontal-with-label-l dimension-action-padding-gap-with-label-l When I click into an input field eg. auto-layout/vertical spacing I cannot differentiate the variable names in the list because the window is not rescalable. See image. I need to be able to see the full names. Preferably immediately without needing to hover over each item in the list. Thanks keep up the exciting work on variables guys and girls!
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a great day today.My problem is that, whenever I start to write any text, all the letters are in capital letters.I used to correct it with the old Figma version, but now with the latest version, how can I correct this ? We have removed lots of unused users (about half of them) due to a restructuring, but we have been invoiced for all seats on July 29. We do not foresee using all seats during this next year. Is it possible a refund or credit for future renewal for all those unused seats.
This is the first time I’m running into this issue and I think it has something to do with the fact that I have an Instance Swap property applied to the nested component. I’ve done this with “normal” nested components without an instance swap property with no issues. Here’s the problem: I have a main component called “banner” with 6 variants (3 color variations, with desktop and mobile sizes). The text is a nested component called “.bannerContent”, which also has 6 variants (3 color variations, with desktop and mobile sizes). For the 3 color variations, the background colors are set up with variables, and the variations are Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary. And same with the .bannerContent component - the text has 3 color options: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary. I have no problem changing the background color for each banner variant, however once I pick a .bannerContent variant, it applies that to ALL banner variants. So for example, I have the .bannerContent variant selected with the “P
I’m working on a ‘to-do list’ feature, and we use the strikethrough styling on the ‘done’ state variants of our ‘to-do item’ component. The problem is, that figma treats it as a persistent override. I want the strikethrough to appear/disappear when the task is marked done/undone. But it persists when the states are being toggled. To-do type apps are super common, does anyone have a workaround? I dont see anyone talking about this problem in the forum, so I don’t know if the Figma team is aware of this. For our prototype, we ended up manually creating a strike line with an absolute-positioned line object. Obviously this hack isnt responsive and cannot be used for our ‘real’ library component. It also doesnt account for multiple lines of text.
Hi Figma team, I’ve encountered an issue when trying to apply a linear gradient to a single word inside a text layer. When I highlight just one word and apply a gradient (via the fill panel), the gradient technically applies, but no gradient handles appear on the canvas. This makes it impossible to adjust the direction, angle, or position of the gradient for that specific word. Steps to reproduce: Create a text layer with multiple words. Highlight just one word. Apply a linear gradient via the Fill settings. Try to adjust the gradient. Expected behavior: Gradient handles (start and end points) should appear, just like they do when applying a gradient to an entire shape or full text layer. I should be able to control the direction of the gradient within the selected word. Actual behavior: No gradient nodes/handles appear when the gradient is applied to only a portion of the text. The gradient applies, but I have no way to control it visually. Please let me know if this is a known limita

It just disappeared completely and when I tried to access it through a past link, I am getting the following message: You can’t access this resource Contact the owner, an admin, or support for assistance.
