Hello! We have been having memory trouble with our Library file and have been working on making it more usable.

In the process of doing this I did a test where I duplicated my library, and then proceeded to erase everything from it, every page, every style, every variable, every linked library.

At the end the only thing left was 1 empty new page that I had created.

After a refresh, the file was still showing 26% of memory usage and over 75k layers.

I’m really unsure of what to make of that, over a half of the memory usage of my file is coming from… Nothing? Is this a known bug?

Hey @Virgil_Levesque-Prevost - I don’t think any of us on the forum can immediately give you a solution as to why there still seems to be a memory issue, unfortunately 🤔

Glad to hear you started some preliminary work to address this, but also sorry that the attempt to clear through the assets were not as successful. It’s definitely weird (borderline diabolical) that the copy file would still indicate signs of all the assets being there (let me know if I misunderstood the entire issue).

Would you be willing to share a copy of the library file with our  support team so they can comb through it on their end? If you can, share edit access directly to the email of support-share@figma.com (you won’t be charged for this).

Once that’s done, please fill out this form, and include the direct URL of the file you share: https://figma.bot/submitreport. Someone our end will take a look to see if they can replicate.
