Figma make for edu!

Hey I noticed few of my friends in my uni got the Figma make access while I did not. Is Figma make and site now available for edu pro accounts for students?

I understand you're on the Education plan and are wondering about access to Figma Make.

At the moment, Figma Make is not available for users on the Education plan.


As noted in this announcement, Figma Make is available on the Starter plan. So as a workaround, you can create a Starter team and try Figma Make there.


However, please note that there are some limitations with the Starter plan. For more details, check out this Help Center article: Who has access to Figma Make?

This makes no sense. How can a free user have more features than an educational account?

It’s bewildering.

I’m teaching a university course in AI for design, was stoked to suddenly have access to AI features today! But no, I had been downgraded to free acct. Upgraded to edu and lost AI again.
