Search engines, AIs, and even co-workers have a very hard time understanding what I’m talking about when I say “figma make”. I can’t get much help with it online cuz search engines and AIs think I using “make” as a verb. Please, Please rename it to Build, or construct or something!
How can I find or where can I see the name of the course/bootcamp linked to my Figma student plan?
In Apple’s new ‘Liquid Glass’ design language, text and icons can change color based on what they are floating on top of. For example, icons in a tab bar (bottom navigation bar) can change from black to white if they are on top of a dark image (see example screenshots). It would be cool to be able to activate this kind of behavior for certain layers in prototype mode similar to how you can adjust the scroll behavior for certain certain layers. Without this feature, liquid glass prototypes will always look broken if ‘sticky’ elements are scrolling over both light and dark content.
{Commenting as Guests} Clients wanting to give access to prototypes to temporary teams without the need to create accounts as guests only, allowing comments and feedback within Figma prototypes. Possibly allowing these users to make comments on prototypes as Guests with temporary names.
It looks so much better in diagrams. All the colored lines look goofy. And if you change shape colors, they don’t change with them so it’s very difficult to manage. Clean gray lines solve everything. Win win.
I verified my account but I still can’t access a shared FigJam board for my university. I tried re-applying for verification several times but nothing changes. I contacted SheerID and they said I’m verified on their end, so it’s a problem with FigJam. From SheerID: “Since you were already verified with us, and if you are having issues with your Figma account, please contact Figma support directly and provide the verified request in order for them to help you. To assist you further, here are the details of your verified request, which you may share with Figma support if needed”
In the Windows Figma client In the Android Figma app,the text may rendered not clearly and you can see sometimes there are lines on the glass material in the Android Figma app When using the prototype, the edges of text may appear blurry at times (including on the Windows platform and the Android App). When using glass-like materials, the edges may also appear unclear and exhibit odd lines (Android App).
Is Figma ever going to allow us to collapse/expand pages in the sidebar? What about text-wrapping layer names?
I have lost files from my Figma account. I looked at the drafts > deleted tab and its not there. I also filter searched all projects made by (me) and no luck finding it. I have a link the prototype because I had it linked to my old portfolio and it says that Prototype not found. Either this file doesn’t exist or you don’t have permission to view it. Ask the file owner to verify the link and/or update permissions. This project was definetly used through this email so im confused. I dont know if any other files got lost, but this is a case study for my portflio and a really important project to me so I hope you can help me recover it.
Feature Request: Native Lottie (.json) File Support in Figma Prototypes Summary: Please consider adding native support for Lottie .json files within Figma prototypes, allowing designers to preview and interact with lightweight animations directly in the canvas and prototype mode. Why This Matters: Lottie animations are widely used across mobile and web platforms due to their small file size and rich visual capabilities. Currently, Figma only allows Lottie integration via plugins like LottieFiles, which limits functionality to static previews (GIF/SVG) or external exports. This creates friction in the design-to-development workflow and reduces fidelity in prototype presentations. Benefits of Native Support: Real-time playback of .json animations in prototypes. Improved design accuracy and stakeholder communication. Seamless handoff to developers using Lottie in production. Competitive parity with tools like Adobe XD and Framer. Suggested Implementation Ideas: Add a native Lottie layer t
Hello Figma Community, I’m currently taking the Google UX Design Certificate on Coursera and have been using Figma Education Pro through this program. Recently, I received an email asking me to re-verify my student status. I selected “Bootcamp / Online Program”, but then got this message: “Bootcamp students & educators: You cannot self-verify, you must be verified by your bootcamp. Please reach out to them directly with any questions.” Since Coursera is an online platform and not a traditional bootcamp, there isn’t an admin who can verify my status. Coursera support advised me to self-verify, but Figma doesn’t seem to allow that for online program students. I’d love some clarity on this situation: How can online course students (like those on Coursera) keep access to Education Pro? If verification isn’t possible, will our accounts automatically downgrade to Starter after Sept 29? Is there any workaround to continue using unlimited files and full Figma Pro features as part of the course
I signed up for Figma using my school-issued email address and have attempted the student verification process twice. Unfortunately, both attempts were unsuccessful(I don’t know why.. I submitted my school ID photo), and now I receive a message saying that I have exceeded the verification attempt limit. I contacted SheerID for assistance, but they informed me that they are unable to help further. Therefore, I am reaching out here to request direct support from the Figma team. Could you please reset my verification attempts so I can submit the correct documents? If that is not possible, may I try the student verification again using a different email address that is not my school email?
I had figma free education plan which i applied for now they emailed me to re-verify by september 29 or I'll lose those pro features now I joined figma recently a month back i have re-applied for verification but they say i have exceeded limit for verification or availed this offer. I have no clue how to solve this i have contacted Sheer Id support team too.

I opened my student account on figma and it asked me to re-verify my status which I did, I clicked the button and it led me to the verification process. I even signed in with my school account on my school portal. It asked me for proof of enrollment, but when I finished logging in using my school account it just led me to the image below.. When i clicked the button, it opened figma but to another account ? I also recieved an email on that acoount on my gmail. I find it weird that I logged in using my school account and another account got verified.
Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with this before or has advice on the best way to get in touch with someone at Figma. 🙂 I’ve been trying for the past two weeks to set up my education account, but I haven’t received any response. Right now, Figma isn’t recognizing my @fsusd.org email as eligible for an education account. When I tried adding my students to my team, it only lets me create four projects, which means my students can’t make their own. I couldn’t find a direct email or phone number on their website, so I’m stuck. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know the best way to reach someone at Figma, or if there’s a specific contact for education accounts? Thanks in advance for any help!
Hello Figma Team, I’m a student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (Graphic and Web Design, expected graduation 2027). For my coursework, I need access to a project in Figma that my professor invited me to. Unfortunately, I’ve been completely blocked by SheerID’s broken verification process. Here’s what happened: I entered all my details correctly (school, program, dates, etc.). SheerID didn’t respond for days and then simply closed my case, saying they “were unable to process the request.” I offered multiple times to provide documents (passport, student ID, enrollment confirmation), even to join a video call - they just ignored this. I have reached out to Figma support several times, but every time I only get the same response: “Please contact SheerID.” But what am I supposed to do if SheerID does not reply and simply ignores my requests? This is absolutely unprofessional behavior on SheerID’s side. But in the end, I want to use Figma, not SheerID - and that means Figma itse
