Context: I’m working on a configuration for commonly used storyblocks in our design system. I’m encountering an issue with maintaining overrides when switching between variants. Top-right: This is the starting point — a "text on image" component where the title and label fields are filled in with custom content. Bottom-right: Here, the "text on image" component is instance-swapped with another component. The custom title and label values are preserved during the swap — which is the desired behavior. Left: This shows what happens when the swap is done using variants within the component. I created a new variant based on the original "text on image" component and did the instance swap inside the component itself. However, in this case, the custom title and label are lost when switching variants. So even though I’m performing essentially the same swap — just inside the component using variants — the result is different, and the overrides are not retained. Question: Does anyone have tips o
I am encountering a CORS error in my Figma plugin. Previously, it was working fine after adding entries in the manifest.json for networkAccess. My current configuration is: "networkAccess": { "allowedDomains": [ "*" ], "devAllowedDomains": [ "*" ], "reasoning": "Dev Purpose" } Despite using "*", the plugin has started giving CORS errors recently. Is there any change in how Figma handles networkAccess, or is there something else I need to check to resolve this issue?
After importing a figma file in figma the images do not appear in the design. I have received the the figma files from the UI designer.
I’m not using it at all but it distracts and takes a lot of working space. Is is completely unnecessary placed there. Make it customiseable and optional
Can someone please tell, was is moved somewhere else or is it completely removed for auto layouts?
I was very excited to hear that grids were coming to Figma. CSS Grid was introduced years ago and brought with it many things that flexbox was incapable of doing, so I was hoping for a similar level of new capabilities here, and I genuinely cannot believe that this feature is being shipped in its current state (even as a ‘beta’). This is a very long post, but I feel like this feature has been implemented so poorly that it legitimately sows doubt in Figma’s capabilities to deliver features in the future. Inability to ‘hug’ contents Both rows and grids themselves are unable to resize themselves to match their contents (‘Hug”). Row heights must be either “Auto” (1fr) or a fixed height, meaning that if you want your rows to be sized per their elements, you’ve now manually defined each row height in px (not even a variable value), and instead of getting a clean CSS output, now you have however many rows defined in exact values, destroying any chance of scalability. This alone makes this fea
To re-create this issue - take an image and copy of it For example - Image123.png & Banner123.png are 2 same PNGs with different name when imported in figma the name of layer 1= Image123 & name of layer 2 = Image123 which should not be the case since names are different
I set up a Team library, but when I want to use it, the variables are not showing up in the variables panel. The Components are still linked to the variables, and they show up when I look in the “Libraries added to this file”. Just not in the Variables panel. Libraries added to this file. Variables are there Variable Panel is empty Everything is published correctly. The variables are not hidden for publishing. Currently waiting for support. Maybe someone has any idea, wheter i set it up incorrectly, or it’s just a bug. Thanks for any help
Config 2025 release broke my designs with Grid! And it could be an upgrade, if: Grid could HUG CONTENTS (row, column, grid itself) Rows, columns and cells could be resized (fixed value, %, colspan/rowspan, flex-grow value) Switch between flex wrap (items jumping to next row) and grid
Hello, all, my name is Marina. I am a graphic designer lives in Greece. I have also background in web design. The last year decoded to transit to UX/UI Design. I have finished the Google course and started getting into deep learning of Figma. I have started with a web site for an African NGO that is called KIRC. I have watched plenty of videos and tried to practice in “auto layout” and figure out how I can create a responsive web page. I realised that there must be two ways : Either create frames for different devices or create frames and component with “auto layout”. Can you help me to clear this in my mind and follow a clear pat? Here is the link of my web page: Have a nice day. Marina
The figma mirror feature is not working after the latest Figma releases. I deleted the app and downloaded it again, desktop Figma and mobile app are both up to date.I am using iPhone 15pro (iOs 18.4.1) and a Macbook air with M1 chip (Ventura 13.1.5)The mirroring only stopped when the new features were launched this week. Is anyone else having a similar issue and has found a way to resolve it? edit: i figured it out. Figma was automatically in the new “drawing” mode, hence nothing was mirrored.

This account contained important design work.We kindly ask you to:- Help us recover the compromised account if possible, or- Transfer all existing projects and files from the compromised account to our new account. These files are critical to our work, and we would deeply appreciate your assistance in restoring access or migrating the content. Currently, it’s difficult to distribute the column width equally. There should be a shortcut for that. It should cover both vertical and horizontal distribution imo.
