Decades ago when prototyping interfaces I would just use HTML prototypes, which made tooltips super easy to prototype. Decades later with Figma - which is an excellent design and prototyping tool don’t get me wrong - adding tooltips to one’s prototype, is incredibly painstaking. It would be so much easier if Figma just added a field for each layer called “tooltip”, which, when hovered over in prototype mode, would display the tooltip after a number of milliseconds (which could be customized as a bonus feature). This would make Figma prototypes tooltip-friendly in such an easy way. And from a designer-developer handoff perspective, it would be great if Figma prototypes had a toggle to enable text selection in the prototype. That way the developer would just run the prototype, get the tooltip in context, and copy its text.
Hi! Figma AI is not available in my Figma Design tool bar: I got the AI feature enabled in my settings: I do have the AI feature in FigmaJam board: I am confused, I though everybody should have AI access from 10th of October🤔 How can I get Figma AI access in my Design board?
Nice work including Typography and Gradients as variables! But I feel like the ability to use a variable for opacity when defining a color palette is missing. Which means the size of my color palette is double what it should be as you have to define each opacity as a separate variable.
My little Figpal Disappeared. Tried to log out and log back in but still haven’t found it.
I want to solve the issue where the height value automatically changes from "Fixed" to "Hug" when combining (click create component set) duplicated components to apply a nested instance. That issue actually occurs even before applying a nested instance—just grouping the components triggers it. When I manually change the height from "Hug" to "Fixed" after combining the group, the size options defined in the original parent component no longer work as intended. [before combine components]buttons height is fixed (56) [after combine components]buttons height state is change with hug
Hello! I’ve been looking high and low for trainers who might be interested in doing an in-person beginners training workshop in Scotland, but I’ve had a nightmare finding anyone who is interested (willing to pay ofc!) Is there a repository of trainers/a list anywhere that I can turn to? Thank you! 🙂
Hello - I almost can’t believe I’m posting this. I have read through all the help files, watched four training videos on Pluralsight plus countless YT videos. I’m absolutely not grasping something very basic! I’m a long time full stack software developer (obviously the problem here), I apparently think very differently than you design folk! ;) All I am trying to do is create a simple wireframe. I completely understand how to create from scratch all the way to a prototype, no issue there. I’m “trying” to use a free wireframe “file” from the community. I “liked”, “bookmarked” brought into Figma etc. but no matter what I do, I can’t get it, or any of it’s assets/components to show up in my project file under assets so I can use them in my fresh design file. I have been screwing with this for three days and I’m am completely ready to jump out my window! I have never ran into a technical problem I couldn’t figure out! This one has me. What extremely obvious and basic concept am I totally mi
guide me plz from where take a start i don’t having idea bout a design it’s my first time in this field
Hi All, Sorry if you guys have been around this one before but, does anyone know a Figma course that would suit a user who uses Figma but who lacks in-depth knowledge? As a Head of Design I jump in and out and express ideas using Figma, but it’s my team who are immersed in it everyday and I’d like to focus myself and improve my skills so that I can be far more hands on - for when we get work peaks. I’m hoping for a course from a recognised academy, not a scattering of YouTube content. I’d like a course that brushes up on the basics and then takes me through more in-depth use. Any ideas most welcome, thank you.
I have a component with 3 variants set for my carousel. I cannot get the slides to drag seamlessly. I have 1st slide connected to 2nd slide, 2nd slide connected to 1st slide, 2nd slide connected to 3rd slide and 3rd slide connected back to 2nd slide. I have had different outcomes each time I redo the same procedures. Sometimes I can drag through all slides, then back to 2nd slide but I can never drag 2nd slide back to 1st slide. I feel like there’s some priority that I have set up somewhere that I don’t know about. Please help.
I am new to Figma and come from a programming background (C#, HTML and CSS, Java Script). After viewing the appropriate videos and reading your official written documentation, I feel that none of it helps me understand the fundamentals. There does not appear to be any “Top Down” Videos or documentation. Of course, there is a lot of fragments covered in many videos and documentation but nothing I can find that ties it all together. From my perspective, and hr. or two spent with one-on-one training would save me many many hours sifting through multiple videos and documentation documents. While I understand that Figma does not currently offer one-on-one training, there must be some Figma expert out there that is willing to do a couple of paid hours of training. Anyone in the community interested?
Hello, My organization is looking for a Figma expert that can train a small group of people. Please add information for any experts you know here, tag a friend, etc. We have been in talks with Figma support for the last month, trying to get in touch with our rep for over a month. I look forward to everyone’s responses. Best, Monique
