Figma Make getting worse ?

Hey ​@YXGroup - sorry about this. It sounds like the behaviors of Figma Make has gone down on your end, and I’d like to learn more. 
 

First, would you be willing to share edit access to + the names of the file[s] you’re using Figma Make on? This is immensely helpful. It allows both our support and engineering teams to run diagnostics to see if there’s any errors that are happening on the backend. If you can do that, please do so with support-share@figma.com. You will not be charged for doing this.

I have to apologize again, but I’m having trouble understanding where things are breaking  so can I get a bit more clarification?

yesterday, my figma make became completely DUMB, every simple change that i make on the project, everything breaks, for example, i have a 3 tab design, with everything working fine, i asked figma make to remove 1 item of the accordion on the fist tab and the entire project breaks,

What is the ‘one item’ you’re trying to remove in this specific example?

What functionalities are breaking?

Can you provide examples of what you’re asking Figma Make to provide you? And then also the follow-up queries that you ask?

Also -- if you can provide a full screen recording of what you’re seeing, that would also be super appreciated. The visual would be great to compare to the file you have.

I am also having this problem. My Figma Make is so dumb it`s totally frustrating. It wasn`t like this at the start.

thats what im saying, somehow, on a blink of an eye, it became dumber and faultier

I’ll be sharing the file in the form you sent (under another e-mail, because I’m having this issue on another account), but basically it falls into a loop constantly.

I have a list, each item with it’s own picture, and a user profile image on the top of the screen. Either the image of the first item of the list or the image from the user profile breaks. When I ask it to change one, it breaks the other. 

I tell it to remove the correlation between these two images, because when I change one, the other shouldn’t even change in the first place. The AI tells me it’s fixed and won’t happen again, but it keeps happening over and over again. And there’s the loop. I couldn’t get it fixed so I gave up.

Hey both! First, thank you bringing this up -- I’ve been keeping close tabs on status updates on my end, and I’ve heard that things may be working as expected again.

Can you run some prompts and let me know if you notice things have improved/gone back to what you’ve expected?

I’ve had a similar issue lately, where after asking to add a new feature or functionality to an existing Make design, it attempts to refactor the design from scratch and completely loses all progress to that point. It essentially takes me back to square 1 before the many iterations that went into the design. I’ve tried different things to get it not to refactor but nothing works. It just goes ahead and does it anyway and breaks the design. 

I am having the exact same problems, especially with tab content. I asked it to add in a simple checklist within one of the tabs and it re-worked nearly all of the content and layout within the kanban card. I then took the time to fix it and asked to add in ONE additional field, and again, it re-worked the whole layout...

Same problem. At first I thought, ‘wow - this will speed up prototyping so much!’ 

But after spending 6+ hours yesterday trying to get it to fix the things it breaks when I ask it to do something, I’m about ready to give up on it. It removes photos, changes icons, changes layout and design, breaks, doesn’t do anything, does the same thing (wrong) over and over and over. It’s so frustrating. It feels like it’s actually getting DUMBER, not smarter. How can an Ai from a design tool not understand something as basic as centering text? 

I would be so angry to get billed for prompts when I have to ask it 100x why it removed a photo. I’m moving on to Cursor.

there is no way an AI is this dumb, its like it does what it wants and keep breaking the app as it feels, then you prompt it for days and still no solution. You have to hope to god you have a back up or you have to throw months of work down the drain and the customer service literally also has no resolve and has no idea what to do themselves. how is this even possible. Do they just let this AI intentionally break apps or something?
