Hi, Sorry for this dummy question but I am new to Figma and I have been trying for 2 hours to get this. I’m taking over a Figma project. In one page, I see that the person who was working in the project added together a “header”, a “frame”, and a “footer”. I would like to make a tiny change on the “header”. Therefore, I click on the “header” and I use the “Go to main component” option. There, I see the header and I’m able to make my tiny change. But when I go back to the page, the “header” used next to the “frame” and the “footer” does not include my change. Could you please tell me how to make my page include the change that I have made in the “header” ? Sorry for the question, and thanks in advance !

For individual elements, I am able to choose color style from my design system. But when choosing a group and trying to detach one of the selection colors and assign a new one, the “style icon” isn’t opening the style sheet of linked libraries. Was working fine till yesterday.

Since about 2 weeks autolayouts are randomly broken in various customer projects and only update themselves if they are touched individually with a mouse click… This is a massive problem when you are talking about design systems on enterprise level with tens of thousands of them! Our developers can’t work with something like that! Please fix it!

I’ve got a client who wants to edit some copy on a file, and I’m not sure if I can grant access to files to accounts outside of our team.

I set 4 color themes (variable modes) for my design in local variables but when I’m trying to switch them, 3 color themes are greyed out in the dropdown. Is it a bug or I’ve done something wrong?

I followed every step, but he didn’t show the settings for button which I have trouble with now. When I resize the desktop, the button won’t move and it covers the text then. When I set the button as “Fill”, the grey button spreads its width, but I want it to be this width. What should I do? The first picture is the default state, the second is when I resize the desktop and the button is not moving so it covers the text and the third picture is when I set the button to “Fill” and it spreads its width.

Hi there, When ‘clear selection’ is clicked, i’d like all checkboxes to be de-selected, the component hidden, and the number displaying how many checkboxes are selected, to go to 0. Is it possible to re-set this all through one click? Even if i try and go around it by setting up a new screen, all of the previous interactions are saved. Thank you in advance!

Anyone know what the difference is? The reason I ask is because in the file with the Grey Icon variant text can be changed in the instance and it remains changed when you switch to let’s say a hover state. The file with the blue icons is not working that way. When I hover the text of the hover is the default from the variant

For example, I took a screenshot on my phone and imported it into Figma. This screenshot can be clearly displayed in the Figma App for Mac, as well as on other Macs. It can be ruled out as a network problem. But when I saw it in the Figma Mobile App, it was very blurry. It’s pretty fuzzy both in Prototype and Mirror. So I tried to find the cause of the problem, and I found it through a series of experiments. When the long edge of the image is less than 1024px, the image will be clear. But when the size is larger than 1024px, the image becomes more blurry than the smaller image. Maybe Figma made a size limit? Above this threshold, low-quality images will be displayed. Although I write it in the Mobile Apps category, there may be an issue with the server. Because my iPhone uses the latest App, but Android phones have been using the old version of App, but they both have this problem.

Hi all, I’m a new user coming over from Sketch and can’t find a Figma equivalent functionality to Sketch’s cmd+opt+click and drag. It allows you to move the selected element around the artboard without having to actually click on the element itself. Can anyone advise?

I’m new to Figma, and I was wondering how do I resize (scale) a frame to match devices? I used constraints and things stay in place if I make the frame bigger/smaller in Figma, but when I go to presentation mode if I select a bigger device it doesn’t fill out everything, it just stays in the top left corner and grabs as much as it can.

I have a client who’s paying for the Pro subscription for their team. There is a “work in progress” file and a design system file, whose library of assets is published within the team. Now that the bulk of the design work is done, the client wants to stop paying the Pro subscription and revert back to the free Starter plan (note: there is 1 team project & 3 files in the project). As the designer, will I be able to continue using the shared library in the “work in progress” file after the team moves to the free plan?

Is it the publisher only or org admins also have access to the source code?

I recall that Figma previously supported pasting SVG elements that were copied as raw code. I used to copy these elements from the inspect panel in a browser and paste them into Figma, where they would be rendered perfectly as vectors. It appears that this feature is no longer available, which is disappointing as I found it very useful. Is there any possibility of bringing this feature back?

So I pasted some components frommaterial design on a page. I edited some of it and left some but when I present it, the page is blank and only the horizontal line I added myself shows. What am I doing wrong please? Thanks in advance

I just posted tons of icons on my Figma community page as premium resources. But I‘m perplexed to see that the preview files are actually editable and everyone can copy-paste the icons for free. Am I missing something? Is this a bug?

I have an icon library that exports SVG strings. Is there a way for me to paste the string into Figma through my plugin or would I have to manually build the graphic myself? If it’s the latter how would you recommend approaching this?
