I’d love to be able to select 5 text fields and update them all to the same thing, without clicking into them individually.
This is something that chews up a lot of my time when it comes to product or copy teams sending text updates.

You actually can already edit multiple text layers at once using Multi-edit text:
You can select multiple text layers across frames using shift+click then click the Multi-edit text icon shown above.
