Shortcuts confict on Chrome after clicking anywhere on the sidebar

Hi there! This looks odd. As a first troubleshooting, can you try to clear out the Chrome cache? You can follow these instructions: Clear cache & cookies - Computer - Google Account Help
I would also suggest checking the browser extensions and disabling them to see if that helps improve anything.

I have the same problem.

It is also not possible to remove layer with the “Delete” key if the layer is previously selected in the layer tree (focus state is set there). If you click on the same layer in the canvas it works. The same behavior is with Ctrl+D. Instead of duplicating the layer, the tab is marked as a bookmark.

It doesn’t always seem to be the case, but very often and drives me crazy.

PS: I tried the tip with clearing the cache - without success.

Also, if an layer is selected in the layer panel (layer tree), using the arrow up/down keys don’t reorder or move the elements. Instead of that the scroll position within the layer panel is changing.

I use Chrome 124.0… and Windows 10 Enterprise on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga.

I was experiencing the same shortcut issues in the browser last week. I tried clearing cache, updating Chrome, relaunching the browser and restarting the machine, all without success. I switched to desktop app to circumvent this issue. Today, I updated Chrome once again, took Figma for a super quick test drive, and the issue seems to have been resolved. Although as @Jacek4 mentioned idk if this issue will return after using the app in the browser for a longer while.

FWIW @Celine_Figma my issue was not limited to CMD + D, but many common shortcuts that included CMD+keys (like: CMD + X, CMD + C).

Currently running macOS Sonoma Version 14.3; Chrome Version 124.0.6367.80

I’m having the same issue, and it seems to be intermittent. Sometimes when I hard refresh the browser, the shortcuts work for a while before being broken again.

Like some of the others said, cmd+g opens “find on page” for me, cmd+d opens browser bookmark, and delete straight up doesn’t work. Seems to be chrome only, and my current workaround is using the desktop app or menu>edit>delete 😦 Restart, update, refresh, clear cache, disabling chrome extensions - none of it helped.
