It would be a great productivity boost to have shortcuts to Fold/Unfold the Layers tree from the root level. It’s a default behaviour in all coding IDEs and helps to navigate complex folder structures very easily. Figma would definetly benefit from that.
I found this type of fill in another designers’ figma file and I’d like to recreate something similar. I always end up with a gradient rather than the three solid colours.
I love figma but I do also miss some of XD features like the hover state toggle in components, I find it’s so much easier and reduces the hassle of having a separate ‘overlay’ screen. In XD, you just input it as a state which you can have it activated when hovering, this allows it to be integrated into the button or whatever it is itself. Images/Video for context on how it works etc. This was posted in 2021 but I still think it should be implemented, especially since I want to use Figma as the only prototype tool but there are some features that XD just does better, mentionable repeat grid too.
I have a question about customizing Figma’s coordinate system. Is there a way to change the x-y coordinate origin from the up-left corner to the bottom left corner?
Every object is visible in and outside the frame and I am unable to find a solution
Went on Vacation and came back to all pages gone from a file. I went to version history but all pages are gone from there as well. (every version even going back years) Any thoughts?
The creator of the Figma file has shared the access but still cant edit. It is showing view-only every time.
Hi, I’m new to figma and I’m creating a tab layout in figma. I’ve almost created an interactive tab layout by following this video from youtube but the problem is the tab buttons in my project is getting resetted back to normal and I couldn’t figure out the issue. I tried to rewatch the video to find out what I did wrong but I did almost the same as what he explained. Here’s my figma link. It will be greatly helpful if someone could help me
Image Placement opens the same library all the time. I have made 5 requests! Because after first was marked as SOLVED in fact it wasn’t! I opened another one with the same issue and again and again. I’ve contacted the support via email, via Bug Report Form and nothing happens. Is this kind of indifference is happening because I use free version? How am I supposed to pay money for this product if it’s impossible to use it?
Is it still possible to edit or update a community file I’ve published? In the Publish window, the Update option doesn’t seem to exist anymore.
I’m making the switch from Sketch to Figma and one of the shortcuts I would use the most in Sketch when working in a group was just hitting ESC, which would move your selection from the layer to the group. Hitting ESC again would move up to the next group if they were nested. Is there a way to do this in Figma?
Hello Community, I am not getting some data that were mentioned in the documentation. For example, in the documentation, they say with vectors you can get Fill Geometry or Stroke Geometry but when I make an API request using my access token to get a file that has vector drawings, I don’t get those properties.

Hey everyone, I’m wondering is there is a way to copy the text from one node to other using plugin API, while preserving various fills, weights, typefaces in the range.
We recently found some 429 response code when using REST API. I’m not sure if we’re being rate-limited and what limit should we keep in. I also wonder whether there are different rate-limit in different endpoints (for example GET file & GET image). I’ve read this article An alternative approach to rate limiting ,but didn’t find the precise qps limit number.
I am trying to get my buttons to collapse to a new line inside of a fixed-width auto layout but for the life of me can’t figure it out or find tutorials for it. I am certain there is a quick solve here I am not seeing!
I would like to make a button component where the text and icons inside the button are see through so that you can see the background behind the button. I don’t think it’s possible to do this at the moment with the usual auto layout properties. I can make one where the text masks the button but not the inverse. It’s possible to do it with Boolean Groups ‘Subtract’ setting but then you lose the ability to set auto layout. The end result would be a toggle button where the on state is a reversed out version of the off state.

Hi, We are having issue with plugin Swapper and I don’t know if it’s problem of plugin or problem somewhere in Figma. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hey you all, in my recent project, I worked with a vector graphic (SVG) (not made in Figma - I used another program) and wanted to put a stroke on it. As you can see, the filling of the duplicated graphic works fine but if I want to put a stroke (pic1: outside, 2pt) it pixelates in specific areas (see the lower left part). When I zoom in on it, the pixelation is more buggy. I wouldn’t mind that much if it wouldn’t be in the PNG export or another export. The interesting part: I don’t have the bug anymore in this specific area if I move a anchor point just a bit nearby. If i make the stroke thicker, I have the problem less. But I have a lot of this kind of graphics, sometimes more bug areas on one graphic and don’t have the time to move all possible points. Furthermore, I want to use a thin stroke. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks for your help!
I’m new to figma and have been trying to figure out how to assign prototypes to frames that are held within the parent frame. I have 6 photos that I’m using as buttons that will navigate to different pages, but I want to include a prototype when hovering over each photo (when hovering, the image will become lighter, like and overlay, and the type description will appear.) I’ve figured out how to create the effect, but I can’t seem to figure out the proper way to set up my frames so that they’re all connected to the parent frame. The only way the prototype works is if I have the photo frames above the parent frame, but of course them I can’t see the parent frame in preview, and if I put the photo frames below the parent frame, the prototype doesn’t work anymore (I’m guessing because they’re not linked to the parent frame.) I’m not sure if it’s even possible to do what I’m trying to? But any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please, I started having this disturbing issue recently on my Figma file, some text and icons are not showing clearly as usual, Typical example is the Declined Text and the Top icon How can this be fixed
We have created a graphics library, within the library we have have a component called ‘button’ The button has 4 states, Default, Hover, Pressed and Disabled each Button also has 5 styles - Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Ghost and Warning. Lastly it has Dark and Light Mode and 2 different hight options. Giving us a total of 80 variations for the button. When it was originally completed all variations worked perfectly. However we now found that the Master file works perfectly (with no conflicts) while you are in the Master file. However when you try and call in the library into another design some of the button variations have disappeared. Interestingly if I go to the main component and copy an instance of it into the new design its works, but using the asset library doesn’t work. can anyone shed some light onto why half of the (once published) assets stop working? If I have an object above another object, I’m able to view the vertical distance between those two objects in Figma. Is there a way to also view the distance to the left and right of the objects as illustrated below in Sketch?
