Desktop App - WebGL Error

Hi, I have been trying for the last month to enter figma’s desktop app only to see a webGL error message saying: "We can’t open this file because we’re having trouble with WebGL. Please try restarting the desktop app. If this problem persists, your graphics card or driver may not be supported." And I have tried everything i could find about this problem: -I have updated my drivers -I have made sure all my browsers are WebGL compatible, and all the settings are set to true -I have tried setting flags (but I’m no good in code) All the solutions I have found on the internet have failed to make it work. Please if anyone can help, please respond and I’ll follow Thanks 🙏

How to renew Pro subscription?

I have an Professional account (1 year) and it will expire this May, this morning I want to sign up for 12 more months but it shown 12 seats. How do I know that I’m paying for 12 months but not for 12 seats in 1 month? I only need 1 Editor seat

Text in layers and artboard?

How do I get the same text I type in an Artboard to show in a layer in the Pages panel? I like to have things named and organized and it is very time consuming to type it in both places. Eg: If I have a link on the Artboard named Add Workspace, I want Add Workspace to show in the Pages layer without having to type it in manually.

Swap Instance: disable "Preferred"

Hello! Since a few weeks ago (I think), when it comes to “swap instance”, sometimes the selector opens where the current instance is, sometimes it shows the “Preferred” option first (forcing you to redo the path to the current instance location to select the new one). Is there somewhere where you can configure/disable this “Preferred” option? Thanks in advance!

"Prototype is too big for this device"

Hi guys, I’m currently working on a project and am trying to view my prototype on my phone. I have an iphone 13 and am currently running IOS 16.4. This issue occurs no matter what file or prototype I open in the figma app. Is there a way for me to be able to use my prototype on my mobile device or is this an issue from the Dev’s side?

Downloaded fonts not displaying

I am using the desktop app on Windows. I downloaded some fonts and installed them, but they aren’t showing in the app. Does anyone have a clue why?

Presentation view - timed frames

Hi everyone, I have completed all the prototype design, and established connections as well. But when I put it under preview, all my frames seem to be timed (like in a presentation), and there is no keyboard navigation. I have tried to solve for it with this link (https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040318013-Present-designs-and-prototypes), but I cannot locate the Options menu on my toolbar (Screenshot by Lightshot). How should I go ahead?

Figma project

OH NO!!! I work in an organization and we have all our files inside projects. I accidentally deleted one project in Figma that still had files it in. How can I restore this? This file is not created by me but by some other team members. When I go to delete files I cannot see all the files on the projects as those were not created by me. Can someone please help.

Missing custom font weights?

Hi! I am trying to get a custom font we use internally in to Figma, but the weights aren’t carrying across into Figma. On my PC, this worked seamlessly, but I recently moved across to Mac and had to do a clean install of the fonts and Figma’s font install tool. When installing the font into Mac OS, I’ve installed three font weights (light, regular bold) of a singular font, and they function perfectly fine within Word. When I try to use them in Figma, the only font weight available is bold, and when I am prompted to change text weights (as I am editing a file that previously had this fonts), I only have bold to select from.

Changed password on Figma but still can log-in via Google

I have created my account manually (not via Google), then I log into Figma using Desktop App and successfully changed my password. I then go to Figma website and log in via Google, it still allows me in (which I don’t want to since I changed my password already), how could this happens? How can I prevent this scenario to happen? I only want to have a manual log-in with password updated only. Any suggestions?

How to Stretch in Figma 116.7.103?

Hello 👋 I’ve been following this tutorial: (Build it in Figma: Create a design system — Components - YouTube) And at 49:00, the instructor talks about making a rectangle shape stretch inside of a frame. But when I place a rectangle inside of a Frame (I’m using Figma v 116.7.103), all of the align options are greyed-out: And the stretch option doesn’t seem to be available anywhere. Is stretch still an option for this version of Figma? Or was it taken away after the release of this video (August 2020)?

Autolayout input bug?

Only this week, I noticed AutoLayout (spacing input) behaving differently. I don’t seem to be able to delete the value to automatically transform into AUTO anymore. For example, if I delete the value of the spacing of 16 pixels in an AutoLayout frame, it turns into Auto. but now, if you backspace (delete) the value, and click outside the input, it retains the same value. It used to behave the same way it would if you deleted (backspaced) a line height property and it turned into auto. Now it is not. Has anyone else experienced this?

Working locally

I have been using Adobe XD as my main app design tool since it came out. It has many drawbacks, but I really dislike working ‘in the cloud’. This is why I have resisted moving to Figma. XD, well Adobe in General, is pusing the same - save all work in the cloud, but at least it is a native app. The more complex and the larger the file, the more lag in the ‘app’ and the more my workflow is slowed down. Please tell me I’m missing something. It appears I can’t even open a file I have saved locally, even with the Figma ‘Desktop’ app.

I have a problem with "fix position" not showing

hello, i have a problem with “fix position”. i was using figma normally and i needed to fix a nav bar but i could find the “fix position when scrolling” check box, so i rechead an old project of mine that has a nav bar fixed and for my surprise, the “fix position when scrolling” was not showing in this project either… as can u guys see, i have 2 layers fixed, but i cant unfixed them bc doesnt show it to me. can someone help me pls??
