Hello everyone, I am following the beginners list from YouTube and I am on Figma For Beginners: Create designs (2/4). At the time stamp 12:15 the auto layout of my “Feed” frame is not adjusting the vertical gap as it should. I am pretty sure I have followed the instructions in the video to a T and yet there is a mistake somewhere. What could possibly be the issue ? Many thanks.

Is there a way to update Component configuration trough the PluginAPI? Here is a screenshot from the UI with the section that I want to update: I am writing a plugin that generates components, and I would like to set the description and a link to storybook programatically. I searched the api refference and it seems to be missing. I am thinking thet it amy be some form of shared plugin data maybe? Thanks,

I’m a beginner to Figma. As one of my first projects, I’m trying to recreate the Spotify app homepage. There is supposed to be padding only on the beginning and end cards. Scrolling in the middle should have the cards extend from end to end without padding. I added left padding to the beginning card, but can’t figure out how to add right padding to the end card. The inner auto frame has no padding and fits all the cards (individual cards have the rectangle and artist text grouped). The outer auto frame is the fixed screen width and has left and right margins of 21, clip content, and horizontal scrolling.

Hello community, I have a problem with Figma memory. I don’t have that much of file in my design yet I get memory limit with most of the content as imported component. is there a fix to it or find our what are this component by name? here is screenshot of what we are countering. And it’s not only in one file. it’s happening all the time after we implemented variable into the design system.

Hello guys ! I’v done a miss manipulation using Figma and there is “Contents” displayed everytime I click on a fram. Do you know how to remove this display ?

Why do some components & variants have this square around them? (image) while others do not? The ones with a square around them seem to be interrupting the interactions, how do I get rid of them? Without having to recreate all the components and variants without the square around them.

There is no variable icon next to the border-width input box. I am unable to apply my border-width variable. However, if I click on Custom, the 4 width boxes that appear do have the variable icon. I don’t want to have to individually apply my border width when they are all the same.

I have created a card that contains a square image, a product title and a price. I’m using a frame to contain them all and auto layout to keep the text in place. I want to know if there is a way to ensure that the square image stays square when responsively resized?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to export just the raw photo asset … the designs are utilizing masks and groups, but there is no clear way to export just the photo itself unless I heavily modify the layers and move the photo to a place outside of the mask/group/layer

I have created a few collections of color variables in a document that is published to my library. How do I access those colors in other documents? They don’t show up. I do not have “Hide from publishing” checked for any of the colors. Also, “Show in all supported properties” is checked.

I just logged into Figma and noticed that all my design files are missing. Dozens of files that I had access to weeks ago are now gone and have quite literally all vanished. Can someone/anyone please assist with this?

I created a interactive component tab bar, with an hide element behind. I prototype with my component to make the hide element appear on click (classic interactive component). When I put the tab bar on iphone frame, set with “fixed” on scroll behavior, if i just scroll on my prototype, the tab bar still fixed on the bottom screen. But when I click on my tab bar and scroll after (or before), the tab bar is bugged, it goes up, then come back. I tried to fix this bug with all contrainst setting, but still doesn’t work. I have a radio group, three variants, one vertical, one horizonal and one using a radio pill button. The first two are fine as they are using all the same elements so label overrides are shared. The third won’t carry the label overide across. It might be something to do with the component nesting but I am not sure, layer names seem the same for the label. Hi folks! I’m exploring the Material 3 Design Kit, and I could use some assistance to fully understand what I’m currently observing. As you see on the screenshot, there are a few layers with the “filled diamond” icon, which designates them as Variants. However, there are no parent or ancestor layers that are marked with the multiple-filled-diamonds icon, i.e. the component one. What’s the matter here?

Hi guys. I need to change some specific texts within a text node that is within an instance. Is this possible via API?

I want to ensure my design file has text styles applied to all my text, and right now that means scouring through each frame and clicking on texts frames to figure out if there’s a style applied to it or not. Is there a way to search for text that has no styles applied to it within a frame or entire page?

Recently (after a Figma or MacOS update, can’t say for sure) Trackpad started working strangely. If I do Drag outside the sliders (or color paletter) and then go back, UI thinks I have still pressed trackpad and moves the position of picker. This is annoying. Previously when dragging the cursor outside the slider (or palette) this didn’t happen and you had to click to select a position again. https://youtu.be/HzSpMJmqdcs — screen record. p.s. I have a Magic Trackpad 3 with a Macbook Air M2 and the exact same problem on another Macbook Air M1 on the built-in trackpad.
