I am using Figma variables API to access the value for a variable which is aliased to variable from another collection. Hi community, I have a strange problem, I want to have a tooltip from the above content and want to fill it with text. the problem is that I can’t find a way around it to make it go UP. it works with only layer text with aligned bottom but it doesn’t in auto layout. Auto layout only hugs it to the bottom. Know any workaround?

Been having a bizarre issue with my design team where nested components in 1 file seem to be normal one day and then rotated 180 degrees the next. Everything seems normal visually, but then when entering into nested items we will find many items with a rotation of 180 degrees. We’ve been through the exercise already of combing through all the layers and making sure everything is set to 0. Not sure why it seems to keep happening. Anyone else??

 Hello everyone, Im trying to make the component you see on the attached image responsive. Here is what Im trying to achieve: When the card is small than xpx width, the graph element will disappear. That said, as you can see, the variables doesn’t respond as I would like it to be. The only achievable way here (I can think of) is to add condition. Sadly, the current condition feature only apply when theres an interaction. Is there anyone know how can I make the card responsive in a prototype crafting level🥹? Thanks!!

I can’t log into Figma through the browser when registering for the first time

I still couldn’t figure out how to do this even I read the questions from community. It does not help to solve. I would like to know if there is plugin to ease this problem? Actual size is only 372459, but figma size is 462573, how figma processed though?

somehow, I did something to my computer and now i have to scroll to see the other side of the Figma screen i already tried the Figma zoom settings and the settings on my computer, but it doesn’t change the screen in the way i need it to be.

Hello everyone, I’m trying to achieve a scrolling behaviour which is best known from spreadsheet applications (such as Excel): I have created table with columns and rows and the table is overflowing in width and height. Currently, I have a frame with Auto-Layout which holds every row (as a subframe) and inside the row, different cells (as subframes). What I want is this: When I scroll vertically, all rows are supposed to scroll with exception of the column header row. When I scroll horizontally, I want the column header row to scroll but the first column of my table to be fixed (with the first column being the row header). I don’t know how to nest my frames into each other to achieve this behaviour. It seems I can only achieve one but not both. Has anybody an idea how to achieve this two-directional scrolling with fixing elements for a certain scroll direction? Hi I’m Aya, beginner. I tried to make an example from Figma education. I can not resize text box. The yellow one is what I want. The text stretch when you make the box wider. Hi! I was viewing my designs in prototype mode and I noticed they aren’t appearing the same as the original designs. Designs were made using frames for the MacBook Pro 16" and my prototype device was set to match the frames. Prototype mode (Fit to screen): I’ve tried viewing on other devices and the lines and some other elements appear to be weird and janky. I’m not sure if this is a resolution issue but it has become a problem when I want to record the prototype in motion. Would appreciate any help thanks!

I am trying to make a plugin to download all components from a selected team library. (without having the user to import the components in the document manually, or hardcoding all the component keys) I found a way to fetch the “variable collection” from a team library, but it seems there is no possible way to directly fetch the “components” from a team library. So I am trying to make the plugin to import the components into the document, and then fetch them from the document I am trying to find a way to do step 1, which I probably will use importComponentByKeyAsync, but I need a way to find the component keys with the plugin. Are there any possible ways to do this?

The image above (highlighted with purple square) is what I am trying to achieve. I set the frames to Absolute Positioning and reduced the image size to make them identical to the images in the “goal” frame but I cannot get the images to fit in the new frame. I removed Clip Content on everything I could and even moved the Footer frame so that it would not interfere. What am I not doing correctly here. Thanks in advance!!!

where can i find the tutorial (readings not video) about Prototype Variable ?

For now I have about 35 Mb Figma file with 3 layers. When out team are switching from layer to layer (page to page) in one Figma file there is a delay of about 3-5 seconds. To speed up the work, what is the best thing to do: make another new layer (page) in this Figma file and transfer some of the content there or, conversely, not to increase the number of layers (pages)?

Using the rename feature (CMD+R), why is it that when I use the Automatic number button (number ^) it always results in my components getting renamed backwards from highest to lowest? You’d think selecting Number Up ($nn) would result in whatever I have selected getting numbered up one at a time from left to right but it does the opposite. Am I crazy?

Hey designers! I’ve been working on an iOS widget/app called Figwig, and it essentially shows you your Figma contribution history in a Github commit-graph looking thing as a widget. I plan to monetize it. I took a look at the brand guidelines recently though and I’ve seen a few problems with the branding that could break Figma’s rules. I’m not sure about the name, but I’m pretty sure the logo does break the guidelines. I’d appreciate if someone could take a look and give me some advice to proceed!

When exporting assets at x2, there is no difference. The asset’s resolution appears identical to that of an x1 export. But the size is getting bigger. Is that a feature? hr It seems that there are no e2e tests to make sure it doesn’t break?! I also disccused it at “Friends of Figma”. But there was no follow-up? Anyhew pl fix.
