Assets libraries are missing. I’m not sure if something’s broken or if I’ve made some foolish mistake. I haven’t been using Figma for long, but I have a full website design and I was going to create a second one. I created a new design file and selected one of the mobile frames. So I have a blank design with a single page and layer. When I click on the “Assets” heading it doesn’t show any. If I click “Explore Libraries”, I get an empty list. If I go into my user account settings to enable libraries as mentioned in the documentation somewhere the “Library” heading doesn’t have anything under it except for a link that goes to another empty list dialog. I opened the existing finished website design and there is a list of components under a “Used in recent pages” heading, but nothing else in the Assets. If I click on the open book icon, I get the same empty list I saw from “Explore Libraries”, but there is also a message that says “Includes 2 missing libraries”.

When exporting logo from this Figma file it losses it’s filling as seen in this Codesandbox. Why? And how to fix it?

Hey, We have recently launched a plugin namely, DesignBud. The problem we are currently facing is that, Thefigma.fileKey works in development but return undefined in production. We have also set “enablePrivatePluginApi” to true. Any ideas on how to resolve the issue? Thanks in advance.

Once Alt + G is pressed, the Figma adds random characters to the clipboard, disturbing the workflow: This comes annoying when using the CTRL + ALT + G Shortcut to create / select a frame, only to end up pasting a random bunch of characters when you press CTRL + V to replace an asset. This does not happen when I manually right-click and choose frame selection.

I am currently requesting an SVG of my Frame using the REST APIs GET/v1/images/:key route. I noticed that the text used there gets outlined, resulting in paths. I would like to manipulate that text content and would need them to stay <text> elements. Is there a way to use the same option as in the UI to disable outlined text?

Hello everyone, I’m currently working on a Figma Plugin, and I’m facing a challenge where I need to display a thumbnail of a specific FrameNode. I’ve thoroughly reviewed the documentation, but I haven’t been able to find a solution for this. Could someone please suggest how I can capture a FrameNode as an image? I can’t see anything except for two images in my Figma file. Things I’ve already done (the advice in this article): Restarted computer Cleared cache using Terminal Tried flattening images. None of these worked. The images are there because if I double click I can see them in the settings where you change image things like saturation. However none of them are visible.

Hey! I’m trying to better understand variants and make my life much easier, but I’m unsure if I am doing the right thing! What I basically want: I have a frame that has a State field, once the user clicks on it, a menu will move in the same frame from the bottom. What I did: I made the field as a component, same for the menu but also made it as a variant. I added the button inside the same variant grouping and I am trying to connect all of them together to make this happen but it does not happen. Can someone explain why or what is the best way to do it? Thanks!

Can I extract a text from a component using the REST API? I have a chat baloon component and I want to extract the text from it. As of now, the only solution I found was to create a Python script where I get a JSON of my file, get the component, get the {thumbnailurl}, save the png, use an OCR to extract a text from the png. But, the OCR is returning not so good results and I want to know if there is a simpler solution to it

I am using Figma variables API to access the value for a variable which is aliased to variable from another collection. Hi community, I have a strange problem, I want to have a tooltip from the above content and want to fill it with text. the problem is that I can’t find a way around it to make it go UP. it works with only layer text with aligned bottom but it doesn’t in auto layout. Auto layout only hugs it to the bottom. Know any workaround?

Been having a bizarre issue with my design team where nested components in 1 file seem to be normal one day and then rotated 180 degrees the next. Everything seems normal visually, but then when entering into nested items we will find many items with a rotation of 180 degrees. We’ve been through the exercise already of combing through all the layers and making sure everything is set to 0. Not sure why it seems to keep happening. Anyone else??

 Hello everyone, Im trying to make the component you see on the attached image responsive. Here is what Im trying to achieve: When the card is small than xpx width, the graph element will disappear. That said, as you can see, the variables doesn’t respond as I would like it to be. The only achievable way here (I can think of) is to add condition. Sadly, the current condition feature only apply when theres an interaction. Is there anyone know how can I make the card responsive in a prototype crafting level🥹? Thanks!!

I can’t log into Figma through the browser when registering for the first time

I still couldn’t figure out how to do this even I read the questions from community. It does not help to solve. I would like to know if there is plugin to ease this problem? Actual size is only 372459, but figma size is 462573, how figma processed though?

somehow, I did something to my computer and now i have to scroll to see the other side of the Figma screen i already tried the Figma zoom settings and the settings on my computer, but it doesn’t change the screen in the way i need it to be.

Hello everyone, I’m trying to achieve a scrolling behaviour which is best known from spreadsheet applications (such as Excel): I have created table with columns and rows and the table is overflowing in width and height. Currently, I have a frame with Auto-Layout which holds every row (as a subframe) and inside the row, different cells (as subframes). What I want is this: When I scroll vertically, all rows are supposed to scroll with exception of the column header row. When I scroll horizontally, I want the column header row to scroll but the first column of my table to be fixed (with the first column being the row header). I don’t know how to nest my frames into each other to achieve this behaviour. It seems I can only achieve one but not both. Has anybody an idea how to achieve this two-directional scrolling with fixing elements for a certain scroll direction? Ideally, I would like to achieve a scrolling behaviour similar to speadsheets, where you cannot scroll “diagonally” (like with

Hi I’m Aya, beginner. I tried to make an example from Figma education. I can not resize text box. The yellow one is what I want. The text stretch when you make the box wider. Hi! I was viewing my designs in prototype mode and I noticed they aren’t appearing the same as the original designs. Designs were made using frames for the MacBook Pro 16" and my prototype device was set to match the frames. Prototype mode (Fit to screen): I’ve tried viewing on other devices and the lines and some other elements appear to be weird and janky. I’m not sure if this is a resolution issue but it has become a problem when I want to record the prototype in motion. Would appreciate any help thanks!
