Unable to switch to variable modes

Hi, I created variable modes but I am unable to switch among them. I do have enterprise license and I need to understand what am I doing wrong here. All the color tokens are defined properly under the collection sets

I have attested my artboard, variable collection definition and what I am seeing in the Figma library.

I was trying to apply it on the multiple frames wrapped inside the section (maintained in the left side). I fixed my issue once I took them out the frames and placed them them inside a section and I can now switch between the modes. Seems like frames can’t switch among the variable modes if they are wrapped within a section

Where are you applying the different modes? Would you mind attaching a screenshot of your layers to see which layers have the different modes applied to them?

I believe you’re right. The modes are only able to be applied to parent frames or sections. Glad you got it figured out!
