I am trying to make a plugin to download all components from a selected team library. (without having the user to import the components in the document manually, or hardcoding all the component keys) I found a way to fetch the “variable collection” from a team library, but it seems there is no possible way to directly fetch the “components” from a team library. So I am trying to make the plugin to import the components into the document, and then fetch them from the document I am trying to find a way to do step 1, which I probably will use importComponentByKeyAsync, but I need a way to find the component keys with the plugin. Are there any possible ways to do this?

The image above (highlighted with purple square) is what I am trying to achieve. I set the frames to Absolute Positioning and reduced the image size to make them identical to the images in the “goal” frame but I cannot get the images to fit in the new frame. I removed Clip Content on everything I could and even moved the Footer frame so that it would not interfere. What am I not doing correctly here. Thanks in advance!!!

For now I have about 35 Mb Figma file with 3 layers. When out team are switching from layer to layer (page to page) in one Figma file there is a delay of about 3-5 seconds. To speed up the work, what is the best thing to do: make another new layer (page) in this Figma file and transfer some of the content there or, conversely, not to increase the number of layers (pages)?

Hi all hope you are well. I am getting into putting plugins together and I have this simple one that upon run creates a set of pages and pulls in some components from my teams library. I am using “const firstComponentKey =” and it works great. Wondering if I could pull in a widget automatically after plugin runs? Thank you!

Using the rename feature (CMD+R), why is it that when I use the Automatic number button (number ^) it always results in my components getting renamed backwards from highest to lowest? You’d think selecting Number Up ($nn) would result in whatever I have selected getting numbered up one at a time from left to right but it does the opposite. Am I crazy?

Hey designers! I’ve been working on an iOS widget/app called Figwig, and it essentially shows you your Figma contribution history in a Github commit-graph looking thing as a widget. I plan to monetize it. I took a look at the brand guidelines recently though and I’ve seen a few problems with the branding that could break Figma’s rules. I’m not sure about the name, but I’m pretty sure the logo does break the guidelines. I’d appreciate if someone could take a look and give me some advice to proceed!

When exporting assets at x2, there is no difference. The asset’s resolution appears identical to that of an x1 export. But the size is getting bigger. Is that a feature? hr It seems that there are no e2e tests to make sure it doesn’t break?! I also disccused it at “Friends of Figma”. But there was no follow-up? Anyhew pl fix. I have seen at least one post about this from a while back, but has anyone been able to accomplish an auto-layout with some columns missing? For instance, I have 5 fields that I want to lay out in columns. I want something like the following: FF FFF And I want both of the auto-layout containers to fill their parents across the entire body. The first row doesn’t seem possible with today’s auto-layout not allowing percentages. Am I missing this or is it something that exists? I feel like this is a critical feature of auto-layouts.

I have just been added as editor of a Figma design file but when I went to the actual file, it says on top “View Only” The owner of the file sent me a screenshot that I have a restricted account. I already have an upgraded account. How do we resolve this? Thanks!

It loads for a lilttle bit and then displays error message: “An error occurred” Tried both on native app and online, restarted PCs. Happening to people in my team across 3 continents. Hello, I’ve come across an issue where previously updated items are appearing in our team library updates. Clicking on these items doesn’t result in any action, and some updates appear unrelated to the current matter. Several team members are currently facing the same issue as I am. Hi, I’m wondering if there is a smarter way to get the code for an SVG by clicking on it. I searched through Figma’s helper functions but couldn’t find anything, so I’ve been trying to recreate the SVG code from the information I gather from the selected vector node object. I’m wondering if there are smarter alternatives that I might have missed? Thank you

I’ve been trying to reach costumer support for weeks (sent already 2 or 3 messages?) but somehow I’m not getting a response. My original billing amount was $15, but last month it changed to $20 with an extra FigJam seat I never requested or used, and found no way to remove. Since I received no response from Support, I was billed $20, and will be again if nothing changes. I hope this can be solved soon since it’s been pretty irritating do deal with it.

Hi, Ive been using Figma for a year with a team project. I am now using it on my own as a freelancer and doing basically the same operations. Uploading Affinity-made SVG files to share. I am just finding that when I upload an SVG (which looks fine in my quick-look/preview) The line weights get mad thick, so much so that you cant see the image at all. Ive tried dropping in the svg and choosing the file to import it with the same result. Ive set viewbox and unset viewbox to no avail. Please advise.
