Hi,

We have a paid professional plan for one user - a design seat with edit permissions. That user is leaving the company, so his design seat needs to be transferred to the user that is replacing him.

How can it be done?

Thanks

Hi @Hanny_Steiner ,

Subscriptions are tied to teams not individuals. This means you can manage the editing roles via your team members tab and these editing roles can be given to any of your team members.

Here’s how you can do this:

Hope this clarifies!

Does this mean that if I unassign two people and assign two others, I won’t be charged an additional cost?

Yes, you 'll need to make sure to change their design / FigJam seat.

To prevent people from being able to upgrade to a paid seat without asking for permission, you can change the default seat type to viewer-restricted. This way, people with a viewer-restricted seat need to ask for approval when they want to upgrade their seat in a particular product.

For instance, in the design seat, you can take one of the following actions:

  • Select Viewer-restricted to downgrade them to a free Design seat. This means they’ll be able to view files they have access to, but won’t be able to edit them.

  • Select Full to upgrade them to a paid seat and allow them to edit Figma design files.
