I used Material Kit version 3 and found that the patterns and styles were linked together.But!As soon as I used Material Team Builder, the variables and patterns were separated.I wanted something to link them together to make it easier to change colors if the client requested a color change mid-project. 

When I generate an embed code from the Figma design view, the embed iframe displays the Figma design correctly, but if I generate a embed code from the branch of the same file, the embed iframe loads a blank page. Prototype embed code from the branch file works correctly, it’s the design embed code that does not work. Is this a bug, or is this not supported?

I have problems with font weight. Despite having variables defined, it does not work. I applied all the text variables I created to a new text, but when I use a font weight variable, it does not change according to the variable assigned. Please fix it. 

Hello,I have a button that has two-color fill and a background blur effect using `background-blend-mode: color-dodge`. See the example Figma draft:   When I copy CSS of this element, the background is exported like `background: linear-gradient(0deg, #383838, #383838), rgba(179, 179, 179, 0.82);`. See codepen example using the exported styles:   The resulting element has no opacity because of the first `linear-gradient`. It seems that the browser only blends the two button backgrounds, whereas Figma blends them together with the page background. How can I export CSS for elements like this so that they look exactly the same as in Figma?Thank you! 

HiI had to changed my email from my personal email address to my university email in order to get the education plan for my university projects but the forum email is not changed and upon entering the forum, it created a second account for me.I also can’t access my main account because the forum uses Figma’s login.If I change my email to my personal email, do I lose access to the education plan? Can you removed the second forum profile (this one) and change the email address of my main account to my university email address so I can regain my access to it?

I’m having issues when using prototype interactions to trigger boolean variables in order to toggle layer visibility on a component instance. This only appears to be on component instances as opposed to normal layers/frames, as when I detach an instance, the layer visibility toggle appears to work again. Not sure if this has been impacted due to the recent updates to variable collections.

Recently a problem happened with my accounts, i had 2 figma accounts that i used regularly, but after a recent update i logged into Figma thru Google and saw this, these are not my accounts, the email is the same as the ones on my main accounts but the accounts themselves including picture, name and files are totally different, what should i do, how do i get rid of those doppelganger accounts? I want my files back! I’ve already tried logging in thru email adress but i keep getting into those. 

Hi, I canceled my subscription in March 2025 and was shocked to see a €193.44 charge on my card today. I never saved my card details. How did they pull money from my card? I do not see an active subscription or a saved card on my account.

When I try to open my files it says,  “An error occur while openingt the editor”.And when I try to make new file it says”Network error while fetching resource” This happens on both browser and desktop and it doesnt matter if i change account. Im having an educatonal account.

Hey guys,I’ve always had this problem, but I figured that UI3 would solve this. For some weird reason, there is no COPY action when right clicking on a style, only CUT. Why in the world would I want to cut a style from a file rather than copy/paste it?  

I need urgent support. I'm the creator of a paid Figma UI kit called Sublima UI, which took me over 2 years to design and develop with great care. Recently, a user posted a public comment with a link to a free copy of my UI kit — essentially pirating my product.The issue is: I can't delete the comment or block the user. The link is still public and might severely affect my sales. This is my main source of income, and seeing it shared like this for free is heartbreaking. If anyone here has experience dealing with this kind of situation — either through platform moderation, copyright enforcement, or how to get content taken down — please help me. This is a critical issue for me and my small independent business.

Hi there,Is there any solution to this, what seems like a persistent problem of component instances not updating properly when there’s a color change in the main component. I’m seeing a lot of issues people are having with this.My context is, I have an icon button component with a nested icon component. The properties for the icon button have a dark variant, where the icon color is changed to white. The problem is, when using an instance of the icon button and switching to a dark variant, the color of the icon (white) is not following, but is shown as original icon component color (black). I have updated my nested icon component so all of the icons are in a single component with proper layer names and structure with only one flattened vector layer as instructed in many of the comments. The issue still persists.Thanks for looking into this issue and thanks for all your help!

I have had access to the AI design tool for a long time now, but this morning when I logged on to create another project, the AI design tool has been removed. Can someone help me find it or get it back? I had an amazing idea for an app design but I can’t work on it since the Ai tools have somehow disappeared

Hi. I’m having an issue with issue with frames that are meant to expand or “hug content” when switching between variants of different sizes. I don’t know what technical issue is causing this probably but I was able to verify it is something happening with Figma itself, and not my prototype, auto layout settings, etc. This is happening across multiple different components and only started happening today - however reverting my file version back to when I knew the prototype was working correctly did not correct the issue. But a developer that had never signed into Figma before opened the most recent prototype (without any changes) and did not experience the issue. For these particular designs it seems almost like the drop shadow is expanding like it should but the frame itself just isn’t. I have tried changing my components both to hug content and to fixed width and height just to further confirm it wasn’t something I was doing, but neither changes the outcome on my end or the developer’

Our icon naming convention uses PascalCase with no spaces—names like UiMiscHeart. When I try to search for an icon from outside the icon library, keyword-based searches don’t work unless I enter the beginning of the component name exactly. For example, searching for “heart” won’t return UiMiscHeart, but “uimisch” will. However, when I search within the icon library’s source file, partial matches work as expected. This issue only occurs when searching from other files. Did fuzzy search used to work more reliably across files? I feel like it used to behave better.  

I used the COPY PNG feature a lot and paste it into a fill layer. This week that functionality broke down. Now if you try and COPY PNG and paste it will only do it for one layer and remove every other fill layer. In the past you could choose the fill layer so it would preserve backgrounds or any other fills. Seems like perhaps the latest update broke this feature? 

I’m experiencing an odd bug. Some components when a variant is swapped will not fully swap out colors. See images/example below.As you can see in the last screenshot here, the text is not fully changing color. The text color should be gray and not white. Please help 🙂

In an internal Plugin I want to upload svgs from Figma to Github.With Github.com that works fine, however, to make it work with our Github Enterprise account I have trouble.To check if the plugin can even connect to GitHub Enterprise, I use this reduced code:  However, I get the error notification “Failed to connect to GitHub Enterprise API”.Our GitHub enterprise is internal, accessible behind a VPN. I am running FIGMA with the plugin code from within the VPN, but I am thinking that this call I do might still come “from outside” and therefore cannot access the internally GitHub Enterprise? 

Unable to load anything inside Figma. All images in dashboard (project thumbnails) and images inside projects are not loading at all. Some plugins like Unsplash are not working as well. Unable to export screens as PDFs as well. Tried clearing cache, using a different PC, a different browser, a different network, to no avail. Just noticed, in the console in Figma, I'm getting a "ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED". I'm not using any VPN and have tried connecting to a different network to no avail. 

I have tried a support ticket. And I would like to give Figma some money. But sales does not seem to want our money. My question is...we need MANY MODES. Ca we get away with ONLY one or two enterprise licenses to create and manage modes?The thinking is, can my designers with a pro license CHOOSE THE MODE in their designs, while they still only pay for the pro license $15?But our admins could buy $75 enterprise licenses. @figmasupprt does it work that way? Or does everyone need an enterprise license? sales: 🦗🦗🦗

I’m experiencing an issue with Figma. When I select the ITALIAN keyboard layout, the shortcut for "Decrease Font Size" doesn’t work. Apparently, it seems to be the only one that isn’t functioning correctly!Here are some additional details:I’m using the desktop app . I’ve tried changing the shortcut settings in my operating system, but it still doesn’t work. I also tested Better Touch Tool , and it seems to be the only solution that works, but I don’t think it’s reasonable to buy an app just to fix a single keyboard shortcut. At first, I thought this might be a problem with Google Chrome , since the same shortcut opens the "Help" menu in Chrome. However, the issue persists even when I’m not using Chrome.Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?Apple M3 ProSequoia 15.4.1 

UPDATE: It looks like it has to do with the stroke on the component. When I removed the stroke the component properly rendered.When viewing my prototype and setting it to be responsive, components that are set to fill are not filling correctly. Content on the component will move but the background does not move.
