Disappearing Components & Instances

It’s been half a year. I’ve been noticing that the components and instances sometimes are disappearing after you created them and used within the file. They’re not just hiding themselves, but removing all the content inside of them, leaving only the filling color. In the version history, they are also broken and not visible, no backup, only recreating them again. Wasted so many hours throughout the last months, reacting the same components or rewriting same text. It’s so annoying and should be fixed immediately. Thank you.

For the record, I just had the same thing happen to me twice, very frustrating as I have to create them both all over again. 

Can we please get a fix for this? The version history at the very least should show something but theres literally nothing within the component box anymore for any of the previous versions.

  1. Going to the Support Hub

When submitting your report, it would be really helpful to include:

  • A direct link to the affected file, and invite support-share@figma.com with Can View access (this won't impact your billing and will allow us to reproduce the issue and investigate further with our Engineering team)
  • Any screenshots or screen recordings that show the issue, if possible
