In dark mode, the color contrast for text on tab background doesn’t meet WCAG AA standards. I don’t personally struggle with any visual impairments but I find reading the tab bar difficult. For some reason when I switch context to a different screen, the tab bar becomes darker and the contrast is great. Is this a bug or a feature? See screenshots for context.
Hi. Not sure if it’s caused by new UI3 or it’s a bug. But this happens: Loom video I have components for icons. Just atomic 24x24 icons, all named the same way (“color”). Then I have interactive component for icon button. Simple hover with color change. There’s “swap instance” set. In a prototype I use icon buttons. One of them - search - opens an input. Close icon button “x” acts weirdly! Figma file here Any idea what to change?
I’ve been building components using variables and it’s been great. However, last week everything BROKE. Any file with a linked component that uses variables does not pull correctly. I’ve reached out to support, but wanted to create a post incase anyone finds a fix. Example of how components are pulling through:
1. Describe the bug/issue you’re running into? I can copy small parts of my userflow made in figma, but I can’t copy the whole diagram, that’s quite frustrating 2. Are you able to consistently reproduce it? If so what are the steps? I don’t think so, it worked perfectly until I changed some colors 3. Share a screenshot, recording, console log, link to the file, etc. https://www.figma.com/file/SX9LknacdIBSMIPvnpWYrg/Userflow---UX%2FUI?node-id=0%3A1 4. Is the issue only happening in desktop app or a specific browser , or both? Google chrome browser 5. What OS/version and/or browser/version are you using? The latest version of both window 10 and google chrome
Using ⌘ + L you can get links to Frames, Pages, and Sections but not component instances? I have some screens that are themselves components, and not being able to link directly to them without embedding them in a frame feels like a bug / oversight.
I got the above email from Figma. This is a file I have View access in another org (our parent org), and for some reason for vendor request for view access I got email in my inbox to Approve/Deny. Seems like a big security issue.
Menu ⟩ Object ⟩ Remove Fill works great when object fill is set to a variable or a raw color, but has no effect when the fill is set to a style. The same for Remove Stroke.
All my fonts went wonky after today’s release. I have a file using styles from a library. When I looked at my file today all the spacing was off when auto layout was used in conjunction with text. When I click on the text which has the library style applied, the text sudden switches to a font called Anton. I can reapply the correct style and once I do, the spacing looks correct again. My guess is it is initially showing the correct font style, but the space for the Anton font which is much more condensed. It is fixed when I reapply the text style. Does anyone have any suggestions so I don’t have to go through the entire file and reapply the text styles everywhere?
I use a style from my team library for a frame inside a frame. After I rescale(use key K) the outside frame, the link between style and team library is broken, the style becomes separated effects. I want to rescale the whole frame to be used in different place and now the style link is broken, I couldn’t keep those style same as each other.
Sometimes, when I select the text layer in dev mode, the preview does not appear. The attached screen is the screen when the same text layer is selected. Sometimes, the preview doesn’t appear like the one on the left. In that case, if you select a different layer and then select the previous text layer again, the preview will appear fine. Is it because I did something wrong? Or is it just a bug?
I have these tabs with ‘Change to’ on-click interaction. you know, it’s just a common tab-switch interaction. But the second tab’s first field’s label shows the first tab’s first field’s label. rather than showing the second tab’s first field’s label. lol, my English is broken. But you’ll get it by looking at the GIF. what the heck is this bug, and how can I do to fix it? I have tried many things, but doesn’t work.
Is anyone having this issue? I have screen recordings showing what happens. in short: – I create a new file give it a name and move file to a project the name does not save the project does not have the file i can search for the file and find it
While exploring the Figma forum, I came across a bug. When I expanded the forum reply thread, a large overlay appeared on hover, which was quite unwanted. Please address this issue. Video for better understanding - Recording 2024-10-08 190711.mp4 - Google Drive
When I try to change the colour of the icon, sometimes it will only change some parts of the icon. The icons consist of a single vector shape and the variants have standardised layer naming and default colour white. Changing colour, the “selection colors” section in the right-hand side tool bar shows the change although nothing has visually changed. I maintain a component library and use its components on other file. My icon24 component has currently 146 variants and I have issue currently with 7 of them. Changing the colour of the icons in the component library does what you would expect and does not reproduce a similar issue. The issue is present only on other files that use this component and it is the same icon variants that behave inappropriately. Recreating a variant removes the issue but it might appear randomly on any of the other variants. Please help 🥲
In the last day or two when I search for a component in my local file or a linked library, Figma’s search seems to be completely broken. Ex: When searching for a ‘Home’ icon in a linked library, I used to type ‘home’ into the search bar, and the icon I was after appeared right at the top. Now when I attempt the same search, the icon I’m looking for is either not in the results at all, or sometimes at the bottom of the list. My most inserted component is probably ‘button’ but when I searched for it today in the insert menu, it was nowhere to be found. I ended up copying an instance from somewhere else on the canvas and resetting it to default. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It’s seriously hampering my workflow.
The bug: constraint positioning is applied before variable mode width, and is not checked again after. Example: I have an object that is centered using a Centered constraint. I use variable modes to set the width: 1000px wide in desktop mode and 600px wide in tablet mode. Expectation: The object should be able to change size and remain centered. What happens: Object is centered using Constraint setting I change mode from desktop to tablet Object changes width from 1000px to 600px* Object is no longer centered *Width is always applied from top left. Thanks!
Interesting bug I came across today. I am trying to set up a button component so that I can use a variable to change the icon for a prototype I’m building. However when the component property that assigns the name of the variant is controlled by a variable, the icon itself is visually corrupted. I have experienced several different visual errors, but I cannot figure out how or why this is occurring, only that by not assigning the icon property to the global variable the icon is okay (but this breaks the prototyping goal I need). Note that the component I am building is a toolbar of many similar buttons (which are nested components, with nested icon components), and every other icon I’m using works as intended, just not this particular one. Here are two images to help explain what’s going on (the eye icon below is what is intended). Setup: Win 11, desktop app v124.3.2
I am building a puglin of a list of variables that allows to visualize all the variables (local and remote) in a list and by clicking on it I can apply it to the selected node. But I have a div that works to preview the variable. This variable is Alias and I can not get the value of the color to be applied to the background of the div. While if I click on the row of the variable, the color is applied correctly and normal variables correctly represent the color too. Would anyone know how to solve this problem because I can not find a solution? thank you very much in advance.
Tricky one to know exactly what’s happening as I’m currently in the middle of troubleshooting, but is anyone else experiencing missing frames from designs? Deleted frames can be seen in the version history, but apparently they were deleted today, by me, which I am 100% certain did not happen.
When I try to use the new beta feature “Swap component” using smart animation transition And fix the scroll position of that component. the animation jump down then up and doesn’t do the smart transition. I know it is still in beta but i want to shout out for feedback
I received the new update more than two weeks ago, and yesterday I renewed my subscription with Fikma. After that, my team and I were reverted back to the old version. Why did this happen? All I did was update the plan.
Hey Figma! I just wanted to share a quick update and what seems to be a bug I encountered while finding a solution to the issue I posted about here: Component Property Issue with Button Icon Visibility Using Variables. Is there something that i missed or is a bug? Ask the community Hey everyone, I’m currently working on button components and ran into something strange when using variables to control the visibility of icons. Here’s the issue: . [image] I set up a button component where the icon visibility is managed using a variable. It works as expected for the medium and large sizes. You can see in the right-side panel under the Layer section that the show/icon variable is visible and adjustable. . [image] However, when I switch the component to a smaller size li… The Problem It looks like there’s some weird caching behavior going on with icon components. When I set my button to a small or xsmall size, I noticed that the variables also change t
Hello, I have created a “Button” component with a hover state. It uses “mouse enter” in order to “change to” its hover variant. When I use such button in my design and add “click” prototype interaction to show an overlay, nothing happens on click: Prototype: After deleting the variant interaction from this instance, the good old “click” actually works: Prototype:
Anyone can explain why there is difference in dimensions of the exported image and actual frame in figma
Sooo idk if I’m missing something really basic here or if it’s maybe a bug? I’m trying to just change some text of a component via variable from Regular to Bold: Main component, variable is linked to style; variable setup is on the bottom of the image Instance, set to “view” - this should now be bold, right?! (And yes, the text styles are called “Regular” and “Bold” in the dropdown too:) Am I missing something or is this a bug? EDIT (before posting lol): Ok, I’ve just tried it in a new file with all new set up variables and all - it worked there. Thought it was an issue with my initial file but NOPE! It seems to be an issue with the font: Used the original file and just changed the font to Inter - now it’s working! One difference I found was that Inter supports variable font axes - Poppins (font I’m having the original issue with) doesn’t - could that be it? So variables for styles only work if the font supports variable font axes? Let me know y’all thoughts please 🙏
